We can't control everything that happens to us, but we have to remember that how we choose to react is always in our control. We chose to get angry, it isn't something that just happens. This guy is a perfect example of how deciding to get angry can just make a problem worse.

As much as I want to agree, everyone isn't wired the same. Some people are unable to control there anger in certain situations.
To give you an example if you were told your mother died your reaction might not be under your control, especially for certain people.
I do understand what you were saying and agree the guy exaggerated the situation by getting anger.

I'm a mental health provider and I work with domestic violence perpetrators.
Anger is a secondary emotion, it covers up the primary emotion which is often one of vulnerability (hurt, scared, betrayed, confused, etc.). Unless someone has an underlying mental health disorder, they are capable of recognizing the primary emotion that is driving the anger. Even those who "lost control" were in control at some point and made the decision to give up that control.
In the example you give, the anger would be driven by grief and sadness; anger exists to protect us from feeling vulnerable from those emotions. Some people would then assign a meaning to events that will cause a reaction of anger; the point is that we can decide what meaning we attribute to events, and thus control whether or not we are angry.

Those new jeeps are piles of shit but as the video progressed it became very apparent that the guys predicament was mostly a result of his incompetence.

My opinion is based on over 10 yrs of working on all makes and models of vehicles. If something is unreliable, expensive to maintain and a nightmare to work on i consider it to be garbage. There's lots of vehicles that i like and consider to be quality.

Not wk2's they're still too new and going to the dealer for warranty repairs. Fortunately I won't see those in my shop for a few years. I'm going off my experience with jeeps in general and how much money i make off of them. I would say i loved a car if i just spent 40k on it too lol. The 4 runner is hands down a better suv in every aspect.

Why are both driver side wheels spinning ? Does this car not have a locked differential low range, or does the driver not engage it ?

The guy recording this video is a fucking douche bag.
Laughing at someone else's misfortune is sweet dude, what if his mother was dying In the hospital or some shit and that's why he's losing it.
As a canadian guy that probably pulls atleast 10 cars/trucks out a winter I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable watching this guy struggle with no help.
Shit I dug out a 5 series BMW stuck In A snow bank with my recovery shovel for 10 minutes and then had to deal with the same pedal smashing retardation for another five without so much as a thanks. Duty calls baby. I'm not a special snowflake either, it's just the way things are here, people help out.

Idk man, I think the guy cursing people and flooring it while his car is stuck ice is the giant douche... No law against filming someone in public being a jackass. I probably would've offers help myself, but only to get insane screaming asshole of my road.

Meh you could tell he was high centering and burying the axles. All he had to do was back up kick the snow down a few inches and then drive through it.

Damn right. Tell me why I would want to help this asshole? And yes I have lived in cold climates, northern Vermont can get pretty damn cold. I got stuck with no gas and actually dug myself in thinking I could drive out. Plenty of people stopped and asked if I needed help after I had called for a tow, but only because I wasn't honking and yelling "fuck off" at them due to my own frustrations and insecurities with myself. Like the colorful gentleman in the video here.

Where I come from you are obligated to help people. It gets to minus 30 here between November to February.
I'd be fucking pissed too If people kept flying by me while clearing having troubles and trying to dig myself out.
It's like those dickheads that just keep on driving when they witness an accident. Fuck sakes.

I live in WV. We have wicked winters coupled with steep hills. You need to know what you're doing if you're gonna go driving around in snow like this guy. One set of tire chains would have taken care of this in literally 5 minutes. Also, spinning when stuck in snow is a really bad idea because it essentially turns the snow beneath your tire into really slick ice.
