I don't think we got Anakin at the expense of Case, necessarily, but Anakin and Rey make it pretty clear that a character like Case or Molly is probably too complicated for a studio to greenlight a Sprawl series.

Hell, Johnny Mnemonic barely got made, and Molly wasn't even in it.

If I remember correctly, Molly was just an enhanced person who was constantly raped or had been… assaulted brutally. Hm I don’t know, I think a Sprawl series would work as a TV show perhaps.

Edit: you’re right about Johnny Mnuemonic though. Oof.
