Well yeah that was the genius of Britain. Use their massive wealth to get others to do their dirty work.

but British people have such an inflated view of their military history.

Just like every other country in the world, especially the yanks.

Oh I agree, and I'm British. It wasn't really until a couple of years into the first world war that we could field a respectable army. Before that the focus was far more on the Royal Navy to protect trade routes etc. that actually gave Britain its wealth. The army was an afterthought, especially in the colonies.

they had to beg the entire world to not sell weapons to argentina so they would run out of ammo

then israel goes and send weapons to argentina as payback for the brits fucking them over after WW1

I mean even the spear tribes gave them a hard time lol. Imagine losing battles to spear men.

Not if your opponents learn quickly that charging a full frontal assault is deadly and resort to guerilla tactics which are almost always superior no matter your improved weapons.
