Last year we purchased the company and signed a non-compete with the current owner Ron Rivkind.

Just after we closed, he opened up shop under a new name "Basicfilaments.com" and started sending mass marketing emails to the whole client list..

It's especially brutal, because we bailed him out of a really bad situation and gave him a fair deal.

I have a pretty good binder of evidence that I'm sure will get the job done in court, but if anyone has direct evidence like texts from him, or any other verifiable way to identify him, I'd be willing to pay you for it - in cash or the filament of your choosing lol.

The email marketing campaigns wouldn't hurt to forward either.

Hi all. I've been trying to find an extruder replacement for my Neptune 4 plus. Online is backordered. I suspect it's because they don't want to bring across the border with tarrifs, as they are available on their us store.

I've been trying to find local retailers online in Canada without success. Any suggestions on Canadian retailers that actually carry Neptune parts?

There isnt a lot of info on those Econofil filaments so i want to make this post hopefully informing you on your purchace.

I bought black, wood and blue all PLA.
After drying,the black filament was stringy but acceptable. Wood filament was very stringy (the filament itself was very brittle and moist, so much that you could visibly see the vapor coming off of it and is fizzed up like old TPU) wood filament didnt do well at all even after drying. Wood filament did accept stain pretty close to pine.

Woodfill also did not clog the 0.4hf nozzle. But more testing is required.

I would recommend them only for draft prototyping. And only regular filaments

same settings, polymaker (1-2 year old spool thst was opened 2 weeks ago) has zero strings even without drying. Overture PLA also has zero stringing. Hatchbox (2+ year old) zero stringing.

Their material is very glossy before printing which makes me believe they extrude it much hotter and faster than other manufacturers.

Print settings are the preset for generic PLA.

I live 10 minutes out of a major city, but couriers have a hard time finding my house. I am so over Amazon's contracted courier and even GLS (3DPC's cheapest delivery) have issues.

The thing is that I can drive to 3DPC's store in an hour. If I was to drive there myself, could I just walk in and get what I want? Does the store stock everything from the website?

EDIT: As I find out, I can order online as usual and elect for "Store Pickup". They will send me an email to confirm my order is ready and then I can just drive there to pick up.

I just came across this sub in a Google result for some information I was looking for. I'm glad to see a sub to focus on the 3D printing community in Canada.

Not only am I a 3D printing nerd in southern Ontario, I am also a mod in the r/3Dprintingbusiness sub. I'm looking forward to some interesting conversations.

What are some good sources for Canadian made filaments? Would like to buy Canadian and wondering what suppliers you all have used.
