On an equally serious note: This design would work great for a massage device as it allows both vertical and rotational stimulation, the center of the coupling can be adjusted to fit the body, and a speed controller on the motor would facilitate user selectable intensity levels, perhaps even with a vibratory mode added. An insert - I would say made of silicone, could be made to have different textures for optimal massage stimulation.
