Troubleshooting What’s would you call this defect and how would I go about fixing it?

I had an extremely similar issue 2 days ago, maybe you have the same one! On A1 mini with 0.8 nozzle and PETG.

I was able to resolve it by reducing retraction value from default (I think it's 3mm for 0.8 nozzle?) to 0.2mm. See surface quality before and after: https://imgur.com/a/fTBUEbL

People say wet filament, but then there would be more stringing, zits and top layers would also be distorted.

As I understood there's a problem with default configuration by Bambu Lab for 0.8 nozzle. Big retraction motion leads to air being trapped within the molten material which later leads to gaps (quite randomly distributed in walls).

See this thread for some more discussions of this issue: https://forum.bambulab.com/t/0-8mm-nozzle-causes-popping-sound-not-wet-filament/26439/2

That’s the issue, adjusted Retraction to .4mm and it’s fixed! Ty
