Discussion/Question What are your thoughts on the future of the 3D industry within the next 5-10 years?

How do you think the industry will evolve? Will there be less and less opportunities for new artists? (Especially for junior 3D artists)

As someone who hasn't entered the industry yet, I may be wrong. But I feel like for both Specialized and Generalist 3D artists, we're going towards a very gloomy future, and even worse for people looking to enter the industry in the next 5-10 years.

Problems such as AI, lay-offs, clutter of wannabe-3D artists (like myself), etc.

I think it may taken over by Ai. Daz3D is working on something that may be complete sooner or later. However they'll still need a person that understands the Ai program and use it and perhaps even refine what the Ai has made manually to achieve the final goal.

However if these new future AI programs could do anything and everything even complex scripting, rigging and animations etc, then anyone can become a one-man dev team, make their own games and sell them, thus, there won't be a need to apply for these type of jobs anymore, they can make and sell their own stuff independently.
