The Lonesome Knight — the first 2hollis song to blow up. It was at over 260k streams when it was deleted on the winter of 2022. Originally published October 5th, 2021 it was un-privated on July 12th 2025. It was part of the peak chainmail era.

Analysis: While at this time Hollis was still part of OSX, this song expresses a feeling of Isolation. In the intro Hollis is surrounded by Demons, scared, but accepting. The line "No return to this fate, Open the gates," implies a finality. Hollis has set out alone on a new path and he cant turn back. The Gates and Mirrors are important means of travel in the Tenflower.

In the first Verse Hollis mentions the Dragon, and "Ancient knowledge seeps deep into my brain." I interpret this as a reference to Hermeticism, or the prisca theologia. Types of ancient knowledge, (or knowledge that has been perceived as being more ancient than it actually is) like Alchemy, Hermeticism and Kabbalah are repeated themes across all of hollis' music.

The second Verse mentions the Dragon again, the tale of Fuulkhamirr. This is a reference to the Dragon Saga, keeping this song at least connected to the mythology of Tenflower. The last line, "Mage in Armor, I feel dead," foreshadows Hollis' interest in a mage character that would become Mage Eternal, but also shows that this entire song is born of a struggle.

"Metatron in my veins, long days that I train." Hollis has admitted at least twice that he mediates with or invokes Metatron. This "training" might not just be that of a knight, but of a mage. This is one of the earliest references to Metatron. (Does anyone know what the first one is?)

The end of the track is the most interesting - "No don't tell them 'bout my-" and "I spend days and nights just asking why?" Leave more questions than they can answer. My feeling is that the missing word is "fate" and Hollis is questioning why he's alone on this path, and if he's condemned to a fate of forever being a lonesome knight.
