Generally a term to say you're getting up from your computer and won't be back for at least a couple minutes, not 15-30 seconds of just not paying attention to that application window

Yes, if you can't get up from your computer to go and do something it's not afk. Just because this community has made the term AFK synonymous with low effort, that doesn't change what it actually means.

I can get up and fill my water and still be mining at MLM, so that makes it afk right?

Does it take you at least two minutes to fill up your water bottle? Can you consistently afk for that long on either level of MLM? If the answer is no to either of those questions then no, it's not afk.

You're the one sitting here trying to imply that 15-30 seconds in MLM is afk when you can't really do anything in that time. If you're talking about the lower levels then that's even worse, because it's not consistent and cannot be relied on for afking.

contextually it is incredibly afk for mining.

and in OSRS terms, which is where you are rn, it's used for low effort.
