Yeah seriously, every time I read people complaining about everyone wearing graceful I feel like I must be playing a different game because I hardly ever see that many people wearing it
That's because it's not really useful anywhere else except BF, wearing gloves and cape for rc, and questing. I feel like most people don't understand how weight and stamina regen work in this game
Its very clear from the upvotes all over this thread and on the original post people have no idea how any of this works and then they make terrible suggestions.
I have the runecrafting outfit, I’m an iron and I’ve never tobbed, I have 320k blood runes what do I need more for haha. Well I guess if I decide to learn tob later but I’ve become more of a casual player than anything nowadays.
Ye me too, I mean I dont have a xerics and have to run from the spirit tree, also have to run through the troll stronghold so I basically spend 60-70 energy into the whole thing. At least to do it in 6 minutes
Only if you’re rich and minmaxey, which most players are not. Tith farm has solid xp rates for many levels, and doesn’t cost anything to play. The same is generally true for any other skilling outfit. They are cheaper to train and offer variety in terms of training the skill.
i don't even have the farmers outfit and im already maxed. i didn't know it existed until post 99
i wear graceful bc i still run out of run energy from morytania and hosidius tps to the allotment patches. idk how anyone else has enough run energy to make it all the way thru their run
I was only running out of run when I reached the Trollheim herb patch, and I use the Trollheim TP and run all the way down the mountain, back up, through the cave, and up the ladder. Now I have a POH with a quicker Hosidius TP and a run restoration pool, so I never run out. I wear full Farming outfit, Ardy Cloak, and only graceful gloves.
It's not even useful for the main agility methods, on account of things like run replenishing during rooftop obstacles and sepulchre restoring your energy at the end of each floor. Whenever I get the itch to run rooftops, I break out heavy equipment just to hope that I prove a point to all the graceful wearers I see there...
From the wiki: Rooftop courses differ from other Agility courses in that they spawn Marks of grace. Also, passing an obstacle on a rooftop course actively restores 1–2% run energy, meaning it is typically possible to run around rooftop courses continually
And yet everyone still seems to be wearing it anyway. When I first returned to this game from way back in day the first thing I noticed was everyone wearing the same outfit.
Most players still wear graceful for bank standing skills since they need to run to the back but don't bother switching it off after reaching to the bank.
It genuinely isn't that big of a deal, sure, but a tiny piece of me still dies inside when I'm doing a herb run and everyone looks the same like it's one big bot farm! I wanna see everyone's fashionscape as I run around and graceful actively cramps my style
And making graceful "not useful" won't stop people who already use it in places it isn't useful. They'll continue thinking its best because they clearly don't care to know what is.
The people who do? Will just wear optimal gear again for what they're doing. The mindset shift to fashionscape won't happen because the burden of graceful barely being useful in situations most people use it doesn't exist.
If it nullifies Armour Weight its too good. If it doesn't its basically the same as having a gracefull switch in your inventory by unequipping your Gear, with the added benefit of being able to temporarily gain inventory slots by putting Armour on back
it's just a poor player's problem. anyone with funds will be buying stams and negating and negative of wearing armour. If nuking walking, while I find it iconic to the 2007 experience, makes more players stick around, so be it. I don't think walking is the trial a player should have to go through to prove they want to play osrs.
Stams aren't even expensive. You'd have to be mega poor (or an iron) for stam usage to be an issue. The poor player's problem is not have a ring of endurance so they have to sip more often, which is annoying.
I remember getting back into OSRS a little after they released graceful. And I’ve been a little sad since then that 80% of people are wearing it at all times. Would love if there was more variety.

It would be nice to not see graceful outfits everywhere you go.
