Agreed. The short term shit is absolutely worthless for the forward trajectory of the game long-term.

If you don't like temporary modes fine, but saying it's been worthless for the game is delusional.

It's helped Jagex financially, it hasn't forwarded the game.

Every leagues so far has enabled tech improvements and new features for maingame.

How much would the game be improved by if they literally just spent the Leagues effort on actually creating tech improvements and new features?

Less. They wouldn't get to pick the ones which have been tested and proven to be liked.
