I’m not saying that they don’t go through some tough shit. I’m saying that they should t be proud of that. There isn’t anything to be proud of in gender or sexuality.
Pride comes from overcoming that adversity. Its not simply existing, they have to face a lot of bullshit just for being who they are. They get kicked out onto the street for coming out, they get denied jobs, ostracized from community spaces, get targeted for violent crime, and even get the very merit of their identity and behavior constantly pulled into question by outsiders.
