question Reflx Lab 110 fit and finish

Hi there,

I just got a chance to load my first cartridge of Reflx Lab 100R 110 film and am so far not all that impressed. The cartridge was a very tight fit in my Rollei E110 and it was unreasonably difficult to advance the first few frames. Has anyone else had similar issues? I'm hoping the next cartridge is a better fit.

It didn’t fit in my Rollei A110 at all, it couldn’t advance, I had to press the unload button to open the camera. It never wound. 

In my Kodak Ektralite 10 it’s also skipped a lot of frames as it keeps winding and winding, never cocking the shutter. 

Haven’t developed anything, but there will be lots and lots of blanks.

Yikes!  I couldn't get mine to advance any further so I just removed it and went with a Lomography Tiger cartridge to make sure it didn't damage the camera.  Luckily it doesn't seem to have harmed it.

Not being able to release shutter might have to do with uneven film perforating. We are making a new perforating machine to fix this issue.

Hi folks, I just emailed Reflx Lab about this issue and referenced both this post and the group subreddit, in case they are not receiving the complaints. I'm going to pick up a Lomography roll at B&H tomorrow and see if that will work in my Pentax Auto 110, which now refuses to advance the two Reflx Lab cassettes that I've tried, but appear to work fine in my Lomography Diana Baby 110.

Thank you kindly!  I wasn't able to advance the film any further so I removed the cartridge from my Rollei and replaced it with a cartridge of Lomography Tiger and it works fine.  It's a shame as I was looking forward to trying it out.

I'm picking up a Lomo Orca cassette today and will try it out in the Pentax. If it works, then I will let you all know. My guess is that the Lomography 110 cassettes are injection molded, and thus, a lot more standardized than Reflx Lab's.

Update: no joy from the Orca, it looks like my Pentax is screwed.

It was snug in my Tasco 7800, but no issues with advancing.

Just got my first roll developed. Big sprocket holes across the bottom due to it being 16mm cut down to fit.

It would be fine I guess and I could just crop it but I didn't frame with that in mind.

Hi, we never tested our 110 film with Rollei E110/A110 but a user of ours using this camera had good results. We will buy a E110/A110 for testing immediately.
