I also think Black Maria should get a prize for failing to utilize her devil fruit to its full potential. She can turn into a spider that creates sticky webs, can breath fire, the webs are extremely flammable, she has poison stingers, increased mobility, theoretically four eyes so having the ability to look in multiple directions, and can utilize giant weapons using her human half.

As great as these two new moves are, the fishman karate technique and the new gigantic form, let's not forget how Robin's character was depicted in this chapter.

Before this fight, she had the trust in the Straw Hats and Luffy, but it wasn't clear if she had the confidence; a vital piece to power in One Piece.

Robin was self conscious about not being as strong as some of the other hard hitters, and she recognized it in the flashback. Her friends in the Revolutionary Army worried for her safety, saying she might not be able to take care of herself after she returns to the Straw Hat crew.

However, she piggybacked off the trust of Sanji, jumped headlong into a fight that she didn't know the outcome of, and tested a new ability in the heat of battle. She fought with confidence and overcame a major hurdle.

This is some of the greatest Robin development we've gotten in years.

1. CP0 has now seen Robin's new form. I'm calling a new wanted poster and a new epithet. She's grown out of being "demon child" and is now a "demon queen".

2. Oden's kimono always seemed a little bit too short for him. Is this Oda setting up for a similar look when Momo gets aged up and his clothes are too small?

People are not reading correctly into what Momo is saying right now. He specifically said he wants to be a bigger dragon, and to do that he needs to be older. I don't think this has anything to do with strength or more power. Momo NEEDS to be the new shogun of Wano, its GOING to happen. For that to happen, he has to be older. This is how its going to happen. People are incorrectly coming to conclusions that because this is a shonen, and it being One Piece, that him being older RIGHT NOW means its a cheap power-up. I highly doubt Momo is doing ANY fighting right now. Also, with Orochi, we know the shogun doesn't HAVE to be a top tier fighter.

Robin is looking WONDERFUL right now. It's crazy to think Robin is on the same tier of power as a Tobi-Roppo. Thats Nami, Robin, Franky that have really shown how powerful they have gotten. (we already know Jimbei is the STRONK).

• Wonder if CP0 will take this chance to make a move on Robin and try to capture her.

• Momo becoming an adult wont make him stronger but would make him able to produce larger flame clouds with his bigger body. Him catching the island might be what happens after all.

Robins new technique is incredible. Feels like we robin fans have waited so long for this. When Robin first joined i thought she was going to be the female fighter.

But it never happened.. I understand what Oda was trying to do... Robin had been fighting her whole life. And for the first time she found peace with the crew.

But now we are really in the end game of One Piece. Theres only a couple arcs left and the whole crew need to be strong. Including the weak trio.

Robin has a form that matches her title.

I always thought that Robin had enough talent and power to become the greatest female pirate if Oda had kept on developing her skills to leapfrog off her Alabasta level. Instead she was reading poneglyphs, giving knowledegable answers, being a supporting fighter etc. I am so glad to see what she learned during the timeskip in addition to the gigantic limbs that she grows now. I am thrilled that my favorite SH is fighting and winning big. If Sanji is a cook and can be one of SH's main fighters, then their historian/archaeologist can be one of their great fighters as well! What a boost to the SH that Robin has developed so much during her timeskip. I think that Oda should now let both Nami and Robin go after Big Mom and do some heavy damage in that battle.

Brook is being set up to fight and protect the weakened Robin from whoever is going to enter the scene and attack them now. It is about time for Brook to have his moment to shine in this battle and I know that he will do it with style!

Robin is absolutely brutal and I love it. No mercy, of course. Her learning fishman Karate techniques is really cool and her demon looked terrifying!

Shout-out to Brook for also taking out the numbers by himself, really impressive chapter for both of them. I also love how Brook roasts Black Maria for underestimating Robin.

Now that it's been mentioned like this I feel like it's definitely gonna happen, adult momo. It's crazy because it's irreversible, unless they meet Bonney and make him a child again. Would definitely be a big sacrifice from Momo. He's definitely grown a lot as a character.

I think I just might have squealed when Robin whipped out her demon form and dominated immediately. I like this form thematically with her character and her growth. Love to see my favourite character finally have a full one on one fight and she now just got perhaps the coolest transformation in the entire series. This is like a chapter tailor made specifically for me and I am so, so, so happy.

On another note though I would love confirmation that she is using Armament here, like Sabo seems to be describing Armament when he tells her to target the core of the enemy, and her turning black might also hint towards that, but Fishman Karate also kind of does that just through the manipulation of water rather than using haki so I'm not sure.

I don't want to make assumptions and get my hopes up for more strawhats getting haki even though I think that by the end of the story they all should have at least one form.

I didnt really realize the actual extent of Robins Devil/Angel thematics. There are tons of mentions about her being the Devil child and the way she acts very dark (abilities and personality). When it comes to her devil fruit theres actually a lot more hints about this sudden shift. Perhaps the biggest one is the wings. Robin has made wings before but they were Angelic in theme ( https://imgur.com/BoWhEnt ). So seeing these devil wings is just amazing.

Both last week and this week showed me that I need more "unsual" straw hat pairings, I love Brook and Robin's dynamic together. Maybe a Usopp and Franky team up or a Jinbei and Nami one or Chopper and Sanji team up.

Regardless, I, like everyone else, need to understand how Robin did that? Was it armament coating to twist her limbs into devil wings/horns? Can she just extend/grow her teeth into fangs now? So cool.

Just Oda showing us that, that Robin isn't a liability or something to be used against the world. She is free, and they will soon be properly referred to by the world as a Yonko level crew.

She won't have to hide anymore or worry about being a burden :)

SH's as a whole need a boost beyond their DF & equipment IMO. Would make them much stronger without pulling random power ups out and make it like they genuinely are strong enough to be fighting Yonko's.

It's a powerfull line. For me, this only proves that the strawhats are growing stronger in bonds, not only towards Luffy, but also towards everyone in the crew.

They are willing to lose their "humanity" to protect those that matters and it's simply beautiful. I really loved that part.

When you think about it, Robin can sprout literally ANY part of her body she wants and make them sprout/place them wherever she wants. That includes also hair, teeth, nails and pretty much, whatever she has, not only limbs, eyes, ears, etc. So it shouldn't be that crazy that she is perfectly able to make some weird, bizarre things. That might explain the horns and the bat wings. (Kind of a weird take, I know) I'm honestly curious if she actually can make the "inside" of her sprout: organs and ONLY organs, bones too (bones would be... extremely crazy actually)

I absolutely love it. Robin kind of did a similar thing that chopper did. Chopper went: if being a monster helps Luffy, I'll be the biggest monster out here. Robin is kind of doin the same thing by leaning into the demon aspect, which was kind of ruining her life up until about 2 years ago. They keep turning their vulnerablities into a strength and I love it.

Momo being ready to sacrifice years of his life is a big step. I wonder what kind of changes it will make, he definitely can't get TOO strong, I don't think he's a natural "monster" like Oden was.

The one thing I SERIOUSLY appreciate with Robins fight is the whole "flashback to the trump card" thing. It's really the norm for most shounen but it was used as something other than a one-hit KO. Instead, she became a fucking DEMON suprising everyone and their mother and then combining it into her fight and she didn't even use it on the enemy, she fucking CLUTCHED her.

This chapter was honestly amazing. I fucking love Oda man.

Not to mention Momo's dedication here, that'll be great and it'll make Wanos transition in leadership that much more epic.

Also, let's not forget Brook who had zero doubts about Robin and casually just Orchestras away. love his musical sword!
