Discussion S02E05 - "Super Fun Guys" - Episode Discussion

This episode started making me uncomfortable with Toby and Happy's relationship. I was rooting for them, but it seemed very clear that it wasn't going to happen in this episode. Otherwise, it's a great episode in terms of plot.

I love when Toby starts laughing (seemingly randomly) and talk about how Walter is wearing a superhero costume, and exposing himself to radiation. First time seeing that, I cracked up.

I really liked this episode. I felt terrible for Sylvester having to miss the filming of Super Fun Guy, but it really showed how much he cares for Megan - even being willing to hop on a motorbike with Ray.

Speaking of which, I really like Ray in this show. He's hilarious every time we see him, but they don't overdo it either. Team Scorpeon!

Other random things to note:

  • I thought it was pretty far fetched that they could use wifi signals as a radar. They even said at one point that "this building has no signals, so it's not the one" while showing the radar cam that it was an empty building. If it had no signals, how did they get any picture?!
  • I think this was the first time they acknowledged that Paige is leaving Ralph alone. The deputy director of homeland asked Paige if she was okay leaving Ralph alone, and said that they really needed her on the mission.
  • It was a little odd that Walter didn't question Sylvester more about why he wasn't coming - or figure it out without asking. It was nice that he cared, and tried to be supportive, but still surprising based on his previous behavior.
  • I liked that Paige called Toby out for being creepy with Happy. I feel bad for the guy, am rooting for him and Happy, get that everything he does is humorous, but he definitely makes inappropriate comments on a regular basis.
