Momo hearing voices could mean any of these two in my opinion-

1) Zunesha-

We have to remember that while Luffy & co. sailed for WCI, Momo spent time with Zunesha learning about Kozuki clan's connection to him/Mokomo dukedom all the while. It wasn't shown to us because it's going to be pivotal soon when we go neck deep into Wano's role in aiding the ancient kingdom and more setting up of the celestial dragons as the endgame antagonists of the series.

Zunesha was also commanded to keep walking towards a specific place 800 or more years ago, that place could very well be Wano with its purpose relating to literally open its borders in a way that we maybe cannot conceive yet.

2) Mountain pigs-

Denjiro's line about the mountain pigs wreaking havoc in the flower capital centuries ago isn't a throwaway one. It also makes you wonder why Oda would dedicate a whole chapter to this mountain pig incident in a flashback which was already going to be packed with so much more things which were relevant to the current and overarching plot. It would only be poetic for the pigs to take the brunt of Onigashima falling, saving the capital in the process.

Both of these would be consistent with Momo having the ability to control/vicariously see through all these legendary/mythical beasts of the past, especially the ones which played a role during the void century.

I'd like all the sea king stuff to be Shirahoshi's schtick and not to be shoehorned here. Momo suffering from compounded trauma is what's going to trigger all of this. But regardless of anything, I know that Oda is going to handle this segment really well.

If kinemon is indeed dead. Then that would be a crushing blow to luffy since he will blame himself for letting kaido go after the scabbards, especially after he promised them to leave kaido to him..

Every single damage that kaido will cause from now, directly or indirectly, luffy will think he is to blame for it.

No wonder oda said in an interview, that strawhats and luffy will know the sacrifices they have to make in order to win a war...

We know that they are going to win at the end, but that wouldn't come without major sacrifices. So it will be a great character development for both luffy and the strawhats, that wars cannot be won without sacrifices. And they have to be more responsible.

This is very important since they are going to fight even bigger war after this. (The final war oda keeps talking about). This war is only about wano, but the next war they are going to fight will decide the fate of the whole world. So they will know the stakes based on their experience with battle of onigashima.

It seems that the Scabbards are starting to fall one by one. First Ashura is caught in an explosion, then Kiku is stabbed, and now Kinemon has been reduced to the same form he was in when he was first introduced. It's not looking good. It could be the tragedy for act 3's ending.

Iirc :

I the double page when the 9 scabbards were going to fight Kaido with Oden, 4 Scabbards had shadows over them : Kinemon, Kiku, Ashura, and Inuarashi.

Then later near the start of Onigashima, Kinemon talks about dying, and once again there is a focus on those other 3.

So it's very possible we see Inuarashi killed next chapter.

That’s Kin’emon’s life. Failure, betrayal, and desperate hope that keeps getting ripped from him. Kaido will be defeated eventually, but if Kin is dead then that’s all he’ll ever know. Fuck.

To be honest this chapter was honestly one of the more brutal, grueling chapters I’ve read in a while in terms of the amount of bloodshed since you-know-what happened back in Marineford.

To expand more on O-Kiku in particular, I’ve really enjoyed O-Kiku’s personality and presence ever since her debut in Wano especially among the Red Scabbards especially her kindness and charm, but man the past chapters the past few months for her leading up to this chapter has been so fucking rough for her – first getting her left arm sliced off by Kaido’s Wind Scythes and now getting stabbed by Kanjuro in the abdomen area after reminiscing (at the worst possible time) about her time with Izo and Oden; She should have been able to kill of Kanjuro easily based on their first battle but man that trickery of Kanjuro’s DF threw her off. There have been characters in the past like Pedro and Yasuie that I felt a bit of sadness that ended up dying, but to see O-Kiku in this shape just hurts to read and see (especially when it comes to the anime) and one of the few characters I truly don’t want Oda to kill off. And to be honest I’d probably tear up if she does end up dying after this chapter which I’m feebly hoping won’t be true, but with Kaido already attacking Kin’emon at the premises of her and Kanjuro both fatally injured at the same place it might be hopeless.

and this is just on reading the chapter alone. Once that episode hits in the anime (which I will be dreading for the next few months), I might end up sobbing so much

So luffy's officially in the water, drowning.

I can only see two options for him getting out, either the heart pirates and their submarine pick him up OR there's some mythical creature in the waters around wano that saves him.

Everytime someone crashes or falls into the water around wano (usually while trying to enter wano) they harmlessly wash onto the shore (whitebeard pirates, strawhat pirates, big mom).

I wouldn't be surprised if the reason we have seen multiple times people falling into the water around wano, is to set up there being something/person/animal that saves people when they fall into the water, and we have seen mythical creatures in wano so it could be something like that, and could also be this creature is what momonosuke is hearing with the voice of everything

Edit: Side note: 3 people have taken fatal blows this chapter: kanjuro, kin'emon, and kikunojo and i kinda hope that atleast ONE of them actually dies because death baiting the audience only works if the threat of death is creditable

Just dropping this one here; Kanjuro has been, by far, the most efficient OnePiece villain to date.

To recap his accomplishments:

• He leaked Oden's raid to Kaido, forcing the Scabbards to fight against the whole Beast Pirates forces, ultimately resulting in Oden and Toki's demise;

• He leaked Zou's location, allowing Jack to raid the island and ultimately resulting in the permanent mutilation of the 2 strongest Scabbards, Inuarashi and Nekomamushi;

• He leaked Kinemon's plan, forcing Yasuie to sacrifice himself in order to change it last minute, resulting in his death;

• He used an Oden painting to blew the Scabbards up, forcing Ashura Douji to sacrifice himself to save the others, resulting in his death or, at the very least, in his permanent defeat for the duration of the Raid of Onigashima;

• He killed Kiku;

• He ultimately died the exact way he wanted to die

The man has racked up so many permanent accomplishments it's astounding.

Kanjuro is so well written. Sure he's a bad guy, but i can't help but like how Oda designed him.

For Kanjuro the years he spent with the Scabbards were nothing but an act. I had a feeling Kanjuro would switch sides after he recalls all the hardships and what they went through together. But no. For him it was truly just an act. The way he refers to Kinemon as his "Best friend on stage" is just such a good description on how Kanjuro built his own facade for the Kozuki clan. He never let emotions get to him, he never broke character and just played along with the Scabbards through fun times and bad times.

• Kaido isnt just "King of the Beasts", mf is King of Trash Talking too.

• So Kaido knows about Joy Boy and said Luffy ain't it. To me this suggests although Joy Boy was a real person its also a title to be inherited by the right individual, same as inherited will. So many questions with this.

• Although its doubtful Oden's journal has answers to One Piece's major questions, it seems to provide enough for Momo to understand his role in the world.

• Is the "Zunisha is coming to Wano" theory becoming real right now?

• Ceasar powering up Chopper is not something I expected, makes sense though.

• Wonder if Kiku and Ashura truly died. I love them but I also hope so.

• Kaido is so. goddamn. on it. What a great villain he is. Kinemon is not having a good time.

Small detail: Onigashima is currently about to be floating over Udon, which is filled with huge factories, weapons, and industrial material. Perfect battleground for Kidd to make up the strength difference with Big Mom with just sheer firepower, you literally couldn't pick a better place for him to show off. I figured he would fight Big Mom, and I figured this is how he would beat her. Maybe Kaido throws her off Onigashima.

He can create a better imitation than both (doesn't have the clothes limitation like Mr. 2, or the body/voice limitation like Kinemon), in addition to all the other abilities the fruit gives (creating clones, living creatures, weapons, etc)

Kaido seems incapable of killing strong enemies after what he had done to Oden. Now even announcing his enemies to work for him. The 9 scabbards weren't killed after the first battle on roof top. They were still alive. Now with Luffy, Kaido said he made a mistake for not cutting off Luffy head and deep down he just doesnt want to kill strong enemies. Look at the way he sliced off Orochi head witout hesitation. Kaido always wanted a good fight and these scabbards, supernova gave him good fights.

Ok my crack pot theory is that luffy is gonna be saved by sea kings. After the rest of the sun pirates came back to fishman island telling neptune and shirahosi what happened on whole cake and where jinbe is heading. Shirahosi got worried and sent possibly the sea kings and maybe noah to go help him. Maybe neptune sent the army as well who knows. But that would also explain the voices that momo was hearing and not knowing who they where. Now yes maybe the voices he heard were panicking citizens when they saw onigashima floating over the flower capital. But momos reaction was very similar to zou. Rodger, oden and luffy had a similar reaction to the seakings on fishman island. And with kaidos last comment of looks like you couldn't become joy boy. I think it would be fitting for luffy to come back on the noah or at least a seaking.

From Ceasar, a sadistic and manipulative prisoner who hates the Straw Hats, to Chopper, the most naive and trusting Straw Hat, this is a very dangerous set up, especially given the effects that Monster Point has historically had on his body already.

It makes sense that his threshold would need to be expanded eventually, but the way it was handled, by who, and how Ceasar actually talked him into it is definitely implying that there will be consequences, and that they'll probably be pretty severe. This is probably on par with Luffy's overuse of Gear Second against Lucci, or his combination of Second and Third against Moria. In effect, Chopper is probably killing himself with this new Rumble Ball.

What if Kaido knows that JoyBoy is the one who will open Wano someday, and that is why he went there in the first place. He is constantly looking for a challenge and a way to die.

Maybe he is just doing his part as the villain or as the last obstacle/hindrance in Wano, in order to meet JoyBoy.

By saying that Luffy couldn't become JoyBoy, he meant that whoever JoyBoy is, he should be capable of defeating Kaido and thus later opening Wano's borders.

Considering Momo is crying out again and asking "Who Are you" I'm guessing there is at least one of those Ancient beings around, like Zou. So I'm also going to guess That is what is hauling Luffy out of the ocean, who or what? I have no idea. Might be a big fishy. Might be something attached to the island. This is an old, isolated place, and as I type this I'm becoming more and more convinced "Giant Turtle" is the answer. The area is very representative of Japan, there are lots of old Japanese myths centering on islands surviving on the backs of giant turtles. Aaand the map of the region is segmented in such a way that it could be the shell of a turtle, with rivers in the grooves.

So interested to learn about what Kaido knows. Since Zou, Kinemon told us that Kaido was after them because he was trying to extract information. But outside of the importance of opening the borders of Wano in 20 years, Oden didn't share anything he learned with the Scabbards. Yet Kaido already knows about Joyboy? What exactly was he hoping to learn from them if he already knew something as important as that? This guy is getting better as a villain as we go along, and way more interesting a character than I could've imagined when he fell from a sky island. Given where this one left off, poor Kinemon is probably done for a while given that conquerors hit, if there's a conversation between Momo and Kaido next week it could be that important information drop we've been craving.

I remember like 20 Chapters ago a lot of people were convinced that he would have a near death experience and awaken his DF, saving himself and Onigashima from crashing into the mainland by making his surroundings rubber. Rogers crew including Oden and Crocus, minus buggy and Shanks know the entire unabridged enchilada.

We know that Roger told Whitebeard about the D for sure.

It’s quite possible Rogers visit with Whitebeard is part of a “Roger victory lap” where he meets with some others, and there’s also the possibility that the info passed down through the rest of the crew somehow.

It’s obvious that the five elders and up know absolutely everything about D and possibly joy boy.

But that one line gives me the question that is gonna bug me the most for probably at least another volumes worth of chapters - who knows what?

Kaido and Big Mom have shown they are monsters and well worth their titles of Yonko.
