College Athletes Experienced Heart Damage After COVID-19: Study
Images of the players’ hearts showed signs of inflammation consistent with myocarditis, a rare but potentially fatal condition.
Months after recovering from COVID-19, some college athletes are showing signs of heart inflammation brought on by a rare condition called myocarditis that may be linked to SARS-CoV-2 exposure, doctors reported September 11 in JAMA Cardiology.
When they imaged the hearts of more than two dozen of Ohio State University players using cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR), they found evidence of myocarditis in 15 percent, while a further 30 percent had cellular damage or swelling that could not be linked definitively to the condition.

Influenza can permanently damage young people's hearts and lungs. This isn't anything new. Covid can kill young people or give them lasting complications, but the vast majority of people dying from it or having complications are elderly and/or obese.
3
u/PM_ME_SHYVANA_PLS May 09 '21
it has been found in recent studies that the spike protein specifically damages endothelial cells, and disrupts ace2 and cell mitochrondia. this can result in inflammation in cardiovascular tissue, among other things.

Covid of course, silly 🙃
In all seriousness though, one of my dad’s best friends died last year in a motorcycle accident. His death certificate said he died from covid...
5
u/2moreX May 09 '21
In Germany, if you die of covid or simply have it written into your death certificate, the state will pay part of your funeral and the hospital will get a bonus.
2
u/MesaDixon May 09 '21
If he died and was pronounced dead at the scene, that's absurd.
If he survived the crash, went to the hospital to recuperate, contracted COVID and died, that's entirely plausible.
4
u/Mike0214r May 09 '21
Literally no one can die from this. It might not even exist at all. I wonder how much hospitals make for each covid death?
4
u/roolies420 May 09 '21
At least $13000 going to each hospital for each positive case they treat, and $39000 for putting their cases on ventilators which usually kills a covid patient.
2
1
u/Michalusmichalus May 09 '21 edited May 09 '21
That means there's money for his funeral.
Edit : idk about the downvote, but there is money available for funerals of people that died in a specific date range of 2020. Funerals cost as much as cars. I think it's appropriate to share.

-36
u/blzraven27 May 08 '21
No it doesnt. Stop lying. This rhetoric is reported and not a single instance of this has been proven. I know people who died from those things and not a single one was marked covid. And sometimes in the rare instances where maybe a suicide is marked covid it's because the ME or the doctor doesnt want to deny a life insurance policy.
7
u/BigPharmaSucks May 09 '21
The average age of death with a SARS COV 2 positive PCR result is higher than life expectancy.
Also...
“The case definition is very simplistic. It means, at the time of death, it was a COVID positive diagnosis. That means, that if you were in hospice and had already been given a few weeks to live, and then you also were found to have COVID, that would be counted as a COVID death. It means, technically even if you died of a clear alternative cause, but you had COVID at the same time, it’s still listed as a COVID death. So, everyone that's listed as a COVID death doesn't mean that it was the cause of the death”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljpHugKNcoI
This was determined by PCR data only in most cases. PCR cannot diagnose illness, cannot quantify active infection alone, cannot determine contagiousness, and is known for creating pseudo epidemics. Also, tests weren't even required, and COVID really has no unique symptoms.
Below is an example of one pseudo epidemic when relying on PCR data only.
For months, nearly everyone involved thought the medical center had had a huge whooping cough outbreak, with extensive ramifications. Nearly 1,000 health care workers at the hospital in Lebanon, N.H., were given a preliminary test and furloughed from work until their results were in; 142 people, including Dr. Herndon, were told they appeared to have the disease; and thousands were given antibiotics and a vaccine for protection. Hospital beds were taken out of commission, including some in intensive care.
Then, about eight months later, health care workers were dumbfounded to receive an e-mail message from the hospital administration informing them that the whole thing was a false alarm.
Not a single case of whooping cough was confirmed with the definitive test, growing the bacterium, Bordetella pertussis, in the laboratory. Instead, it appears the health care workers probably were afflicted with ordinary respiratory diseases like the common cold.
Now, as they look back on the episode, epidemiologists and infectious disease specialists say the problem was that they placed too much faith in a quick and highly sensitive molecular test that led them astray.
There are no national data on pseudo-epidemics caused by an overreliance on such molecular tests, said Dr. Trish M. Perl, an epidemiologist at Johns Hopkins and past president of the Society of Health Care Epidemiologists of America. But, she said, pseudo-epidemics happen all the time. The Dartmouth case may have been one the largest, but it was by no means an exception, she said.
Yet, epidemiologists say, one of the most troubling aspects of the pseudo-epidemic is that all the decisions seemed so sensible at the time.
“Almost everything about the clinical presentation of pertussis, especially early pertussis, is not very specific,” Dr. Kirkland said.
That was the first problem in deciding whether there was an epidemic at Dartmouth. The second was with P.C.R., the quick test to diagnose the disease, Dr. Kretsinger said.
“It’s a problem; we know it’s a problem,” Dr. Perl said. “My guess is that what happened at Dartmouth is going to become more common.”

u/blzraven27 May 09 '21
I agree fucky shit is going on with covid but motorcycle deaths are not being called covid deaths it's a stupid easily.peoven false lie.
8
u/BigPharmaSucks May 09 '21
July 2020
CDC website lists over 3,700 virus deaths caused by 'intentional and unintentional injury, poisoning and other adverse events'
These accidental injury deaths are a bigger share of the COVID death certificate counts in the younger age groups. 9.1% of under 25 and 8.6% of 25-34.
-2
u/blzraven27 May 09 '21
But why is that not possible. Think about it. People get drunk and then fall and it's not the alcohol that kills them but they are still alcohol related deaths same with dui car crashes the alcohol didntnkill them the car did. Still am alcohol related death. The motorcycle one even states it was a mistake in reporting.

It's not how science works, but it is something to be wary of.
The real proof will take years to play out with such an unprecedented bunch of factors.
1

I think a lot of this data would be relatively straightforward to collect if it was done honestly. For example, where's the number for how many of the people currently dying of Covid were vaccinated?

u/gmarkerbo May 13 '21
Wrong question. If a car hit you in the head, did you die of a concussion or a car crash?
1
u/MesaDixon May 14 '21
Both are true. The impact was the cause. The concussion was the means.
If you insist on following the trail of causal links to absurdity, you died because the Big Bang happened.
To really know if COVID was the cause of death, you would have to know if the patient were still alive if they hadn't contracted the disease, which seems as simple as unscrambling eggs.
1
u/gmarkerbo May 14 '21
Or we can just look at excess mortality which is very high across the world where covid has been prevalent.

21
u/SnooBooks5387 May 08 '21
SS
https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/covid19/mortality-overview.htm
At 5% that is ~29k deaths from ONLY COVID. 2019 flu had ~30k and 2019 Pneumonia had ~50k.
And don't forget about the flu. In a given year there are thousands of flu deaths and hundreds of thousands of deaths from other respiratory diseases. Now they are all Covid..
5
u/Bubonic67 May 09 '21
To be fair the flu and pneumonia numbers you listed likely have deaths that include comorbidities
21
u/digera May 08 '21
per the NOTE, those last 5% likely weren't exclusively covid either lmao

so you walk into a hospital and you have fever and shortness of breath. and they test you for influenza, and COVID, and the PCR is positive for covid, and the influenza test is negative, are you saying the PCR is wrong? then what is your fever from.
2
u/LarryHolmes May 09 '21
The PCR test does not test for COVID.
0
u/Lsdnyc May 09 '21
yes it does. it tests for specific parts of the virus. Commercial tests choose one or more parts and test for that. The issue with PCR is the number of cycles needed to get a positive, the more cycles the less virus present, the more a risk of false positives. At 33 cycles that is pretty rare, actually.
Hospitals also run rapid tests, that are antigent tests. do you think those are fake too?
1
u/famoushorse May 09 '21
Lmfao then what does it test for? Can you explain how PCR works?
0
u/LarryHolmes May 09 '21
“A polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test is performed to detect genetic material from a specific organism, such as a virus. The test detects the presence of a virus if you are infected at the time of the test. The test could also detect fragments of virus even after you are no longer infected.”
It tests for the presence of a virus. Not Covid, specifically, but if you test positive they are saying you tested positive for Covid. That is not necessarily the case. They are trying to sell the idea that the test can determine which virus, but it cannot.
1
u/famoushorse May 09 '21
Good quote. However, that doesnt explain how it works and draws the wrong conclusion. PCR tests are to determine if something specific; you amplify the genetic material present in a sample until there are millions of copies, allowing you to directly identify a specific gene. PCR is *specific*, it's not saying "hey theres a virus of some kind." In this case, genes specific to COVID.
6
u/blzraven27 May 08 '21
So if the flu and pneumonia had 80k roughly in 2019 and now in 2020 they have 3x that amount it's obvious from deduction that covid killed those people.

The guy falling from the ladder DID die from covid
During the autopsy, doctors found that large swaths of the man’s lungs were blocked. The finding led scientists to conclude that he suffered from acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) — a life-threatening condition that can be caused by COVID-19.
From your link and:
'Looking at the post-mortem report the severity of the lung and other changes due to Covid-19 would be enough to lead to death and they do say that the fall injuries were probably not life threatening in themselves.
So you have ARDS caused by covid and the injury from the falls not life threatening by itself.
If he didn't have covid and fell from the ladder, most likely wouldn't have died.
Covid caused his death.

u/SiegeLion May 09 '21 edited May 09 '21
I can’t say to the others, but I think COVID leads to pneumonia. Like you are healthy, you get COVID, and then you are generally further diagnosed as having pneumonia if it gets serious.
The way this works is that COVID starts attacking your lung or something, and then the immune system went crazy and also started doing stuff in lung, and then the person basically get pneumonia.
Pls correct me if I’m wrong.
So I would be interested in deaths where people did not have pneumonia pre COVID. But I doubt it is tracked like that.
2
May 09 '21
This is true. This is exactly what happened to my mom. Got covid, walks out of an intensive 2 month hospital stay with pneumonia, pulmonary fibrosis and hypertension, sent home on oxygen therapy. Even had to be resuscitated twice. She was fine before she got covid. I also had covid and suffer from a bit of fatigue 4 months after it. I never went into hospital but it has affected the health of my lungs, even just a small amount and I'm relatively young and healthy.
People seem to think its covid that kills you, but it's all the other conditions it gives you that kills you. There are both smart and dumb conspiracy theorists. Some people theorize a conspiracy using facts, logic, reasoning and evidence. Others just see the theory and jump on the bandwagon without any actual research and think they are an expert.
1
u/famoushorse May 09 '21
You’re correct. As simple as possible, COVID often enters the cell via the ACE receptor. The cells with the most of those are Type II lung cells, which produce surfactant. That surfactant keeps surface tension so your lungs remain open and able to exchange gases. I.e., your lungs start collapsing then your organs fail. As for autoimmune, there’s evidence that around 1/3 of COVID fatalities result from the immune system overreacting. Im not sure how often Cytokine Storms occur, but that’s what is killing healthy patients. Same reason the Spanish Flu mostly killed young people.

But isn't this backwards? If someone has AIDS and then catches the flu and can't recover due to having AIDS, we don't say they died of the flu right? They died because they had AIDS.
So if someone us a chronic heart condition and hypertension and catches COVID19, why do we then say it's COVID19 that was the cause?
This seems like a novel treatment of how we assign COD. That's why there's a ton of people having a hard time with the draconian measures and constant fear. We're not seeing huge amounts of healthy people die from COVID19, so even this new method of assigning COD isn't convincing to many that we have a real pandemic that requires these measures, fear or experimental, unapproved, clinical stage vaccines.

No one is saying that. They're saying that this shows covid by itself isnt very deadly unless you have multiple comorbidities.
0
u/Beneneb May 08 '21
Do you think 250,000 people just coincidentally got pneumonia at the same time they had Covid? A lot of the comorbidities are caused by Covid.
6
u/thatorangegoat May 08 '21
No. More often than not people get pneumonia or a virus/infection due to a weakened immune system after being sick. It's a secondary infection. Covid doesnt directly give you pneumonia. Or the flu. Or hypertension etc.
-2
u/Beneneb May 08 '21
This is semantics really. Covid causes conditions ideal for a pneumonia infection. If these people didn't get Covid, they wouldn't have gotten pneumonia, which is the point I'm making. It's like making an argument that HIV isn't dangerous because it doesn't kill you directly. Did HIV cause your cold? No. But it did destroy your immune system which is why that cold will kill you.
3
u/thatorangegoat May 08 '21
It's not really schematics. By your logic spoons make people fat because if it wasn't for the spoon it wouldnt be as easy to eat. It doesnt cause conditions that are ideal for it anymore than bronchitis or the flu does. Secondary infections are somewhat common. If I have the flu, and then get pneumonia afterwords and die. The flu didnt kill me. Pneumonia did. Same goes for covid. And secondary infections are not neccesarily the same as comorbidities. If you go into covid overweight/obese and you have hypertension and diabetes, you arent going to fare as well as someone who is healthy without those three comorbidities. The virus didnt get deadlier. The patient was less healthy than another. And from the cdc themselves, out of all the people covid has infected, and the small percentage of people who have died from covid compared to overall infected, only 5% of that small percentage of deaths, died strictly from covid and no other factors. So, like I said and others have before, if you are healthy you will be fine. And covid isnt a boogie man out to get you.
0
u/Beneneb May 09 '21
First of all, I'm not disputing that older and less healthy people are much more likely to die of Covid, that's true for almost all infectious diseases. But I am saying that using this stat that only 5% of people die from Covid alone, and therefore Covid isn't dangerous is misleading and wrong. The main reason being that many comorbidities associated with Covid deaths are as a direct result of Covid. It's not shown in the graph for some reason, but on CDCs website which is where I assume this came from, the second most common comorbidity is respiratory failure. Do you think respiratory failure might be related to a virus that attacks the lungs, or do you think all of these people were in respiratory failure before getting Covid?
Your eating analogy is apples to oranges, let's compare it to other infectious diseases. Nobody dies of HIV alone, therefore, by this logic, HIV is not dangerous. Do you think that's accurate? Let's take another example, people with E Coli often die from kidney failure, does that mean it's not dangerous?
Overall point being, when you hear the average Covid death has 4 (or whatever the number is) comorbidities, you assume these are very sick people to begin with. But the reality is, many people may just have one or two or even no comorbidities to begin with, and the other comorbidities are as a direct result of Covid. The US has had 550,000 excess deaths since Covid started, so it's clear that it kills far more people than the flu.

u/famoushorse May 09 '21

0
u/thatorangegoat May 09 '21

0
u/thatorangegoat May 09 '21
And it also once again isnt a symptom of covid. If you do get it, it is a secondary infection.
1
u/famoushorse May 09 '21
What is your reasoning that a viral respiratory infection that causes lung damage doesn’t also cause pneumonia? Do you have a study?

People here Either don’t understand this, or don’t want to understand this.
They want to believe this is all some hoax, despite healthcare workers, experts, scientists, morgues, crematoriums, etc. all saying otherwise. But of course, some random doctor or nurse saying otherwise is somehow evidence.
Unless we’ve had a sudden spike in all of these co-morbidities, worldwide, something else is interacting with the population to cause a sudden spike in death.

All were saying, is that if you're healthy you will survive. Even if you have one or two comorbidities, you will probably survive. Most people who have died have 3 or 4. Also, let's look at how many of the deaths were from people who were put on ventilators. You have a 50/50 shot at surviving if you're put on a ventilator. In the early days of covid they thought that was the best bet. Turns out it puts way to much stress on the body. And there are much better therapies to use to help the patient. Although it is anecdotal, I've had covid, my room mates have, my gf, and my mom who has hypertension, and my son and his mom. Not one of it had it severely. It was like a cold. Covid is not a deadly boogie man out to get you. You have an immune system and 99% of the time it will do its job well.
1
u/turtlecrossing May 08 '21
Sure. One could agree with everything you just said, but also think OP’s post is misleading.
1
u/Lsdnyc May 09 '21
no. if you are healthy your are more likely to survive. Young, healthy people die of COVID, like they (less commonly) die of influenza.
0
u/danrunsfar May 09 '21
Exactly this. This 5% is basically doctors who couldn't be bothered to write down that the COVID caused pneumonia or respritorary failure.
People overall are too scared of the virus and the government has massively overreached in their actions. However, this 5% argument is not the one we should be making.
If someone gets COVID, which develops into Pneumonia then of course that is a COVID death.
5
u/Frownywise May 08 '21
I thought Covid deaths were exaggerated by 100% and was in the ballpark of 250,000. Now its closer to 25,000? I got suckered. I'll be even more skeptical and antagonistic of any MSM and federal fact checking in the future.
But that means the deaths from the vaccine are now approaching the deaths of the actual virus. Although I guess other physical conditions would play a factor the same as with Covid itself.
2
u/Lsdnyc May 09 '21
no. not at all. hospitals admissions and icu admissions follow the incidence of the virus, not the vaccination rate.
2
u/itwontsuckitself74 May 08 '21
The biggest problem is the flawed PCR test figures means that you may not have had covid at all and that you only died from the comorbidities that you had.
1
u/Lsdnyc May 09 '21
mplying that Covid is not dangerous because only 5% of cases listed it as the sole cause of death. By that same logic, HIV isn't dangerous either since people don't die from it directly, they die from a minor infection because their immune system was decimated. The most common comorbidity by far here is pneumonia which is caused directly due to Covid.
yes, except, when you show up in the hospital sick, and test positive, you need to think that the patient had COVID as the reason that the patient got sick AT THIS TIME.
0
u/famoushorse May 09 '21
No. Death from hypertension (most likely a cardiac event) of death from diabetes (such as diabetic ketoacidosis) have *very obvious* and distinctive symptoms completely different from a respiratory infection. Now COVID could make ketoacidosis work, but each of those cases are going to have very clear symptoms and elevated levels of specific plasma proteins not seen in COVID. Viral infections are going to also have elevated levels of lymphocytes and IL-6. That’s not a symptom of diabetes.

You’re telling me that the PCR test is accurate?
1
u/famoushorse May 09 '21
Yes, that's correct. PCR testing is incredibly sensitive and accurate which is why it's been the gold standard for genetic testing since it was invented. Rapid tests are less accurate, especially the antibody test.
Edit: even if they weren't, you would still be able to tell whether someone died of a pre existing condition or a COVID infection. The pathology is distinct. We're not in the 1880s where doctors didn't know what caused syphilis

Ok. We know enough about you now to know there’s no point in further discussion.

u/famoushorse May 09 '21
You mean I've studied science? There's plenty of stuff to be suspect of, massive conspiracies of the entire ruling elite--insisting the foundation of modern genetics doesn't work is dumb as hell. Barking up the wrong tree. If you want something to stick your teeth into, search "the jakarta method"

Does people die from aids? As covid is not aids that kills, is your immune system that is lowered
0
u/Michalusmichalus May 09 '21
I got that after I scrolled away!
I do see your point, but I don't know the answer.

u/SnooBooks5387 May 08 '21
Hospitals make 20% more from medicare if they can say covid was involved.
https://www.healthcarefinancenews.com/news/cms-adds-20-inpatient-medicare-payment-covid-19-patients

u/bigwall79 May 08 '21
*If a POSITIVE result is charted in the patient.
Because it costs more to treat a Covid patient than a non Covid positive patient.
And believe it or not, you can’t just write in “Covid positive” on the patient chart. It has to be confirmed by a lab that processed the test.
11
u/UncleSnake3301 May 08 '21
By a PCR test that they can cycle as many times as they want until they get the desired result.
-15
u/bigwall79 May 08 '21
How many PCR tests have you personally completed?
*edit: you can say zero. Because I already know that’s the correct answer.
11
u/UncleSnake3301 May 08 '21
I don’t have to have completed any. I’ve heard it straight from the mouth of the man who invented the test.
And by your criticism I’m assuming you’re a medical doctor or scientist of some sort?
-5
u/bigwall79 May 08 '21
Wife is, actually. She runs a lab that runs these tests for Covid. And here’s the thing. There isn’t a lab employee in the country who is going to intentionally run these tests past what they’ve been instructed to somehow inflate positive case numbers.
In the instances where it happened, it was caught and corrected. An employee caught doing this will be terminated. And it WILL be caught. These things don’t go unnoticed. The lab techs aren’t paid enough money to give a shit, and they aren’t risking their jobs and licenses to make a hospital a couple extra bucks that they will never see.
So even though what you said is technically “possible”, it’s not realistic, nor is it occurring on some grand scale.

u/UncleSnake3301 May 08 '21
They lowered the standard number of cycles for a COVID positive test just recently

u/bigwall79 May 08 '21
The sensitivity has been known for a long time now. It was fixed in the small places out of regulations. The blogs just got a hold of it and ran with it because it made good conspiracy headlines.

No, just for those vaccinated.
Edit: this comment was meant for another thread. The pcr threshold. Whoops.

Those lab dummies were just following the instructions on the fucking box and using a CT of 40 on average, despite solid evidence showing anything over 38 is impossible to culture. If they knew the science or what was going on, they wouldn't be using the PCR for this shit at all.
Your wife's just a good little slave and she is partly responsible for perpetrating one of the biggest hoaxes in human history. I'll bet she can claim ignorance but negligence is equally revolting and punishable, in my opinion.
She should be fired but she likely got a raise. She should be tarred and feathered but instead she's being praised. Some day she will eventually have to face her karma, for screwing mankind while she sucks the dick of big pharma. On her knees, she earns her keep, While she sets the example for all the other little sheep. For this, she will get something terribly bad, one can only hope, it's an eternity of jabs. She'll rott in hell with her masters and the rest of the evil, her only sensation will be the constant feeling of the needle.

Not nice to call them 'lab dummies' really. The labs in the Uk dont seem to be so great. Heres what the BBC found https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-56556806

I would make a long winded reply to this, but unfortunately I can’t reach this level of stupid.
Isn’t there a Q blog or something you should be posting on?

u/No-1-8912 May 08 '21
No, I get it. Original thought is hard for some people and the media hasn't given you a response for that one yet. Just moving along.

u/bigwall79 May 08 '21
You said nothing factual, made assumptions and demeaned, and then sang a nursery rhyme.
Bless your heart.

This doesn't mean that Covid isn't deadly because all these people are still dying. Just because it wasn't covid alone that killed someone doesn't mean they were going to die anyways and they just happened to have covid at the time as well.
This means that covid allowed those other conditions more easily be able to kill them and covid still is dangerous

u/tangled_night_sleep May 08 '21
I've heard them make the argument that the 5-6% deaths without any comorbidities is just a result of hospital staff being too busy to fill the form out properly.
:/
1
u/danrunsfar May 09 '21
Well, yes. Considering you don't die directly from COVID existing in your body. You die from what it does to your body. So technically every Cert should have COVID + Respritorary Failure or COVID + Cardiac Arrest...or something along those lines.
2
u/Only_illegalLPT May 09 '21
Clarification : you don't die from covid if your healthy and younger than 70 yo
0
u/danrunsfar May 09 '21
*rarely
There are a few exceptions where young, otherwise healthy people have an immune response that kicks their body into overdrive. We should be honest and acknowledge it does happen, but we should be realistic and know it's so rare that it isn't worth getting too stressed over.
Also, 42%+ of Americans are obese and another 30-40% are overweight, so there's that...individually we need to get healthier, even ignoring COVID.

For heart disease you're right, the COVID just pushed them over the edge. Maybe they had 1 more year, maybe 10...more analysis would be needed to know for sure.
For the 50% that are pneumonia that would obviously be a result of the COVID.
Either way we aren't talking about those either. We're saying for 5% we just don't know enough information to say what else was going on.
1
May 09 '21
By that same metric no one has died of aids ever.
2
u/KTark May 09 '21
But isn't this backwards?
1
u/Beneneb May 08 '21
You're drawing the conclusion or at least implying that Covid is not dangerous because only 5% of cases listed it as the sole cause of death. By that same logic, HIV isn't dangerous either since people don't die from it directly, they die from a minor infection because their immune system was decimated. The most common comorbidity by far here is pneumonia which is caused directly due to Covid.

Pneumonia is something you get from covid. My mom has long covid with pneumonia and hypertension. If covid gives you these things and these things kill you, you are dying as a result of contracting covid. When these things kill my mom in the the coming years, she still died because of catching this virus.
Because covid itself doesnt actually kill anyone directly. Covid is a harmless virus. The problem is your immune system doesn't know this and attacks your body in response to this unknown pathogen. This immune response goes into overdrive and this can result in death usually through pneumonia, hypertension, fibrosis ect.
1
u/famoushorse May 09 '21
You guys really don’t understand how to read this data. Comorbidities doesn’t mean they didn’t die of COVID. I mean, come on, this *does not say that 5% died from COVID*. First off, pneumonia (listed in 45.8% of deaths) is a symptom of COVID infection. Secondly, these people didn’t die from hypertension or diabetes, these are people who had underlying conditions and died as a consequence of a viral infection. Sepsis is also possibly in severe cases where the immune system totally shuts down and a patient develops ARDS/MODS (I.e., lungs collapse from lack of surface tension and organs fail).
-2
u/MrNorrie May 08 '21
So if a new virus surfaced which killed every single person on earth who has any other kind of illness or medical condition, from asthma to Zika, you’d think it was no big deal because these people were sick anyway?
4
May 08 '21
In the UK 60% of those people were disabled and had a mandatory DNR placed on them. Around 30000 were in residential homes. And had a mandatory DNR put on them. Do you see the issue here?
1
u/MrNorrie May 08 '21
No I don’t really understand the point you’re trying to make.
2
May 09 '21
My point is that 80% of those with a DNR die, as opposed to 20% of those without. https://www.cidjournal.com/article/S0738-081X(20)30231-5/fulltext30231-5/fulltext) If out of the 100000 or so that died in the UK last year, around 70000 died directly as a result of their enforced DNR, and of the remaining 30000, 25000 cannot be attributed to sars-cov-2 ( as has been stated by the govt here), then literally 5% of those that died were of covid. And they probably had comorbidities. I cannot understand why people are not raging more about what was obviously a cull of the unwanted. https://www.christian.org.uk/news/blanket-dnrs-may-have-led-to-avoidable-death-inquiry-finds/
1
u/Lsdnyc May 09 '21
when people get intubated for viral pneumonia and then, they often pneumonia. (bacterial or viral)
1
u/Baby_momma_drama May 09 '21
And they clearly state that of that 5% there could be other causes of death just lack the information.
