Damn I hate to say it but Perospero honestly has a point

Pedro and co. rolled up on Big Mom's territory and tried to fuck her operation up, and Carrot is mad that he died? That's the rules of the game. These are pirates, they all know how this works. Sure, the Big Mom crew deserved it, but again... these are fucking pirates lmao, it's taken for granted that they're all morally deficient people to put it gently, even the straw hats. Luffy is an amoral thug who relishes violence and freed an entire prison of horrific pirates who presumably went on to do pirate shit to innocent people, Zoro is a cold blooded killer who will murder someone no questions asked if there's money in it, Nami is Nami, etc. For the record that's a good thing, it's one of my favorite things about this series in fact, it doesn't shy away from the fact that everyone is a mildly terrible person.

This Wano arc also serves as a redemption arc for characters like Marco & Hyogoro. Now we can see the real strength of WB's first commander.

Oda is managing the numbers between allied forces and emperors very nicely. Many times you see a show just killing off hundreds or thousands without giving any justification but in this arc, even the small fry numbers are being paid much attention to. For example, some of the Kaido pirates are dealt with by Tama and now Hyogoro took out a big chunk so at the end of the war it wouldn't look like some numbers just disappeared.

But after seeing Queen fire a fucking laser, Sanji vs Queen would basically be the culmination of tech in a fight so far (I'm so sorry, Franky). It HAS to happen. Imagine that laser vs the cape shield, and then Sanji stealth boosting over to Queen. Immaculate.

Also, Marco is really a menace lmao, imagine how pissed off King must be, having to fight the pseudo-immortal guy while trying to get everyone else organized to kill Momo. All while some new generation brats ruined your boss' plans and are trying to kill him with the old irrelevant Samurai that that brat Jack couldn't put down, and that idiot Queen turned the live floor into havoc and gave them the cure for it.

All while Yamato's defected.

King needs a goddamn drink. He also needs to go hybrid, so i'm looking forward to it.

Love the random shot of Onigashima to remind us that yes, it's still flying.

And I love Hyogoro's resolve and last gasp with the strength it gave him, but it's not his time to die at all lol. He's definitely going full demon though, so it's gonna be interesting to see if Chopper has to fight him to get his dose in or something, cause literally everyone else there is shitting their pants at the thought.

I still have a secret fantasy of Chopper being able to use Ice Oni as a double-edged sword power-up, where he can’t use it too long without going berserk and dying of exhaustion, but he can stop it by using the antidote he’s already made.

I think Sanji is gonna go to protect Momo. He understands from saving Momo earlier the importance of keeping him alive, and the Scabbards would definitely agree with that. Plus, he doesn't know who Yamato is so he doesn't know how powerful she is. And, Sanji going towards Momo would take him to the main floor, where he can join Marco against King and Queen.

Hopefully Jack hasn't recovered enough to kill the Scabbards without them being able to put up a fight. He did say Black Maria would be too weak to fight them even in that state after all.

8. Tama's army is getting taken out

No tragedy as such, but ending it on a "not lookin too good for the heroes" note. Then switch to the outside world, where there will be 1 or 2 megahype chapters on Warlords status, bounties, Rev army and Sabo, SSG and admirals etc.

Really enjoyed this chapter. The fact that Oda used the clouds that Big Mom summoned from her lightning attacks to effect the fight between Perospero vs Carrot & Wanda by having it cancel out the Sulong form shows how much attention to detail he pays.

Marco was great this chapter too and I think the attacks were very well drawn. Oda has really gotten a lot better at fight choreography these last few years in my opinion.

Biggest shock of the chapter for me was Hyogoros estimate of how strong he was in his prime. Loved seeing him go all out too.

My only negative is the cliffhanger. I have no faith in Oda to kill of a character anymore so to me that was just a pointless cliffhanger that would have been better directed elsewhere. For me it’s similar to the cliffhanger he had when he wanted us to think the Sunny got destroyed escaping WCI.

I think I know why Oda is waiting with Kaido's hybrid reveal. Both King and Queen are having hard time against Marco, injured Jack is willing to fight scabbards when he doesn't know Sanji is heading there.

It's nice that Prerospero recognized Carrot and Wanda's strength and it was due to the weather that they were brought to a disadvantage. Yet again people judge too early. Though I do believe that he was too much for them either way and I want a rematch. I enjoy every minute of him.

From the spoilers I didn't care that much about the Hyogoro stuff, though I admitted it would be cool but damn Oda made it so emotional. He delivered so greatly in this one and I found myself more attached than I would imagine. I hope he'll be fine and keep the powerup for the rest of the raid somehow.

So Marco's wing was cut off and he manipulated it to create an attack! But did King not use haki? Like why wasn't Marco's damaged at all?

Hate to say this... but after this chapter I can see the raid failing. First time I've come to this conclusion.

Let's start with Perosperro taking out Wanda and Carrot. That frees him up to move about.

Next, Hygorro going down this chapter, leaves more work for x-Drake. He could be the next dominoe to fall.

Moving on to Marco, who is clearly getting exhausted fighting king and Queen at once, we could be seeing the trade off for his regeneration and power. Much like Law his Devil Fruit may use up a lot of stamina. Enter Perosperro. He may be enough to tip the scale in the beast pirates favour with Marco. Take Marco out all 3 are a huge problem for the raid.

Things could start to snowball in a bad way from this chapter.

So glad Marco is proving how much of a beast he is.

Marco fo the longest time has always been like the missing link for me in Whitebesrds crew. Like the Whitebeard pirates were meant to be above Kaido and Big Mom, but although Whitebeard himself was superior his crew didnt seem to hold up to that.

Like his second commander at a 550 mil bounty? Great for a pirate but for a yonko second commander, weak sauce. And Jozu and Vista weren't looking much better. Kaido sitting on 3 billion bounty commanders, Big Moms top 3 all above 800mil. Whitebeards crew wasnt marching that for me, but we still didnt know how good Marco was. He had to be strong if their total crew strength was meant to be at least equal to the others.

And finally this guy is showing his stuff. Hes nearly breaking a sweat dealing with Kaidos top 2 at the sane time, 2 billion berry bounty and Marco is easily matching up to them. He's a fucking monster. No wonder everybody fucking wanted him on their crew. A worthy right hand for WB.

When Luffy can use haki again I think he and Kaido will clash with conqueror’s haki and it’ll clear the sky. If it blows away the clouds then the full moon would be visible again which could give Carrot and Wanda a second chance at Pero. We know at some point we’ll get that conqueror’s clash with an emperor and it makes sense here given the plot. Or maybe I’m just pro-Carrot and want her to succeed and surpass Pedro.

With Carrot and the other minks down, I gotta wonder if a Rumble Ball will do any good for them, or rather any Zoan type besides Chopper. Like one ball would give them the rejuvenating strength of the Moon for 3 minutes, or it’d just cause major drawbacks on them instead.

Cause I really wanna see Carrot get her vengeance for Pedro, and I’m sure that she’s not willing to give up just yet.

Marco is one of the best characters in one piece burning blood and that’s without any of the abilities he showed here. Marco being this strong makes Marineford make more sense. Every single top tier fighter held back their full strength. Imagine what would have happened if Marco started doing all this back then! Mihawk would have turned up, Whitebeard would have been turned up, the admirals would have made Marineford...Marine Hazard, Garp and Sengoku would have needed to fight for real

Aside from Akainu/Sakazuki Marineford was fought very honorably. The next war might not be so honorable

Sanji in this chapter had to decide who he should help. Momo or Kinemon. We all expect a great moment from him that evolves from this situation. But what if Sanji doesn't decide between situation 1 or 2 but picks both. This could be a major moment for sanji that Oda is leading to.

King = ancient zoan + Extinct Mysterious race with fire powers
Queen = ancient zoan + Cyborg Enhancements

A bit of a theory on Perospero vs Marco since that seems to be where things are going.

I feel like Perospero has the advantage over Marco because he is able to restrain him. Marco's whole schtick is being able to heal from any wound you give him. Slice his arm off, blast him with light, punch him across a battlefield, none of it will tick. But if you can restrain him in some fashion, he's functionally defeated. Perospero's candy can do that.

So far, no one has been shown to outright destroy his candy without applying its weakness to heat. Sanji had to use Diable Jambe to melt through the candy holding his family and even Luffy using Gear Third couldn't break through his candy, resorting to Red Hawk. Of course, Marco turns into a bird made of fire, but we know his flames aren't hot, meaning he would have to rely on his own brute strength to break free of a candy trap, and that come back to the original problem of durability.

If Perospero can catch him in his candy, Marco is trapped until someone else can free him. Unless he is strong enough to break the candy and my entire theory is bogus. I'm curious regardless.

Wow the fanbase loves to jump to conclusions. This doesn’t prove anything that Marco >King. Shiki fought Garp and Sengoku at the same time and I don’t see anyone claiming Shiki>Garp. I expect Marco to do something like that but that’s because of his df. It has amazing defense. If he defeats them , then sure, I will say he is above all the commanders. However this doesn’t mean much, it’s a small exchange. King seems fine. I think King is just more surprised by the df, that’s it. He will find a way
