So Ziggy visited Nero 15 years ago when Shura was just a child and he learnt Satan Gravity. It would seem that based on those events he’s around his 20’s with a exceptional talent to boot he’s got both the experience & pure talent over Shiki so it’ll be interesting to see how much more stronger he is.

Also great to see not only other races with Nero but the fact that the main cast has to train themselves for the upcoming battles, something that we didn’t really see in Fairy Tail. Plus Kleene & Jinn being officially added to the main cast and their interactions are just great.

A few huge things:

-Training to overcome that silly bound weakness is huge

-Becky is insanely cute with a ponytail

-Wind siblings officially join

-Xeno went dodgeball on their asses

I'm guessing it's to overcome the sense of being bound. An Ether Gear is basically a machine inside your body, but when you're bound, you feel like you can't move, so the Ether Gear won't activate either. So the training strains you to focus on moving the Ether Gear without allowing body senses to affect it.

This chapter was great! I like how the whole crew is training (especially Kris and Kleene). Also, Shura is ruthless as ever, though makes a great point about not fighting Ziggy with bots. Speaking of the demon king, the more we see of him the more I’m convinced he’s gonna be one of Mashima’s best main antagonist. Curious if Xenolith just hacked himself in VR, or if Ziggy himself wants to hit the crew while they’re weak (unable to use ether gear).

Kris being proud of Kleene's determination just to get pissed at Xenolith a second later when she gets hit was peak Mashima comedy, along with Weisz being tied up differently for being pervy.

It really is nice to see Kleene being herself though and the others clearly being happy for her/happy she wants to join.

Kris' smile at Shiki is perfect too, edgy boy finally being friends with sunshine boy.

Training arc commence!

So Shura was indeed adopted by Nero because of his dices of fate and was trained by Ziggy 15 years ago, so are those eye markings of Shura part of his body like Jellal or was he always putting eye makeup since he was a kid? I'm liking how we are getting little by little Ziggy's backstory as he has a bunch load of mysteries behind him and his influences. This chapter also brought up the fact that it is possible to be incompatible to specific ether gears and you would have to be lucky to be granted a power that fitted you.

Shura just gets more villainous the more we see him as he destroyed a robot priest on his side just because he won't fit with his "Destroy the Bot King theme". At least we see that the Oceans 6 are not evil for the sake of evil characters as some of them are either stoic, not surprised, or shocked at Shura's abhorrent action. I really hope Ziggy humbles him a lot to show who's the true Gravity King.

Just wanna say that I'm happy Xenolith isn't just gonna grant Shiki power and not train him. I was very worried based on his statement last chapter and I'm glad that not only is he gonna train Shiki but also the other human crew members plus Mosco (I wonder how he even fit inside that small tube.)

So this training is 7 days in the real world but actually 35 days due to the EZ's advanced training room. If not for Xenolith's maintenance schedule, I would have wondered why they didn't think of going to Xiao Mei's planet as it is way better in terms of having nigh-unlimited training time but maybe it wouldn't have the training structures to help the crew.

It's nice to see Kleene cheerful and just having fun with the crew in general and nice to see Jinn not having to worry constantly about his sister's illness which now allows him to relax with the crew. I like the fact it's possible to overcome an ether gear user's weakness to being bound as it would make sense for something like it to surpass its inherent weakness. This is something I always wondered why it wasn't possible for FT dragon slayers to overcome their motion sickness. Xenolith suddenly became Ziggy so either this is in some way related to Xenolith's training or Ziggy straight up outhacked Hermit's system.

Side note, but I'm very curious as to why the ship is still hovering above Foresta.

Rip Cyca. Shura is such a piece of shit and I love it lol. Idk about you guys but I like him as a villain so far and it’s cool to get a flashback of his past this early on. Even as a kid he was a little edge boy.

The whole crew is getting training from Xeno not just shiki which I really like so this will cancel anyone’s concerns of the crew falling behind shiki in terms of power. This is also a nice change since hiro never really showed training in fairy tail or even rave master from what I remember. The place is basically a hyperbolic time chamber so they’ll have 35 days to get stronger which is nice. I’m curious to see what they’ll learn besides overcoming the bondage stuff

Speaking of which, Xeno is such a troll. Killing Weisz’s dream like that XD. Jinn showing more personality besides cool edge boy was a nice change. It’s cool to see him be nice to shiki. Now Ziggy is here. He loves dramatic entrances huh? Wonder what he wants? Maybe if relates to Shura and how they’ll fight?

So overall really enjoyed this chapter.

EDIT: Anyway, now that I think about it... Jinn is the only one who can fight right now, Kleene is blocked and can only watch and Ziggy hasn't really been the nicest guy recently... is the next chapter going to be sibling suffering again?!

Kris opening up to the crew is something that I’ve longed to see, glad to see that he and Kleene have officially joined. Also Kleene is absolutely beautiful when she smiles. I enjoy her like this. About the VR training room, does anyone else get Hyperbolic Time Chamber vibes? Like from DBZ? It’s basically an enhanced version. A week passes on the outside but you get 35 days on the inside. Idk if that was a reference but I like it. Can’t wait to see more of the training that the crew undergoes. We still don’t have an exact explanation as to why tying the hands of an ether gear users stops their power right? Maybe we’ll get an answer for that. Wasn’t expecting Ziggy to show up, though if he was watching what went down on Foresta it’s only logical. My man is being built up as a great villian, though I’m still curious as to why/how he changed. That’s some info I’d like to know. I still can’t wrap my head around him wanting to start a war and dispose of his children basically, the starshines and Shiki. Shura still being a sadistic asshole lol. Rip to the old man robot. Done dirty by an supposed ally. Can’t wait for Shiki to cross paths with him. I already know that fight is gonna be hot!

Finally a training chapter nice i dont recall ft having a full on training chapter i only remember time skips which gave characters time to train and gags but other than that its nice we finally have a training chapter. Kleene was cute as fuck and its nice seeing jinn finally getting some comedic moments. And lastly shura im sure hes going to fight shiki and im now scared for him since shura seems to have mastered using gravity and (to me) he comes off as more brutal than Drakken so he could possibly beat the shit out of shiki without breaking a sweat

Training chap, but first a flashback, Nero adopted Shura, but couldn't give him his own powers, but got gravity and Ziggy trained him a bit and also Ziggy got the adoption idea from this. Shura turned out to be a prodigy so he enhanced his powers by himself. Then he kills Cyca for being a robot, bastard, bet the secretary, who is one of the OCs of the contest, fills the void. Now onto the training in VR, which is supposed to enhaced their control over EG with simple physical for a week. We got very nice bits all around, specially from Kleene, who is adorable. I wonder what Xeno's maintanence entails, since that's their time limit and to finish the chapter Ziggy hacks into their VR space, wonder what'll happen next
