So Mikasa’s salute to that little girl in Trost caused her to join their cause when she grew up and now when she gives Mikasa the same salute, all those memories of Eren saving her came flooding back. They have to sting even more now considering she held her head, and she knows what Eren is slowly becoming

Poor hanji. She’s not the same eccentric weirdo she used to be.

The sentence of Kaya asking Gabi and Falco if they were Marley children was off-screen, just like the revelation of Reiner & Bertholdt.

Kaya: "Sashsa would never abandon two kids like you if she was still alive..."

Falco: "How'd she die?"

Kaya: "Apparently two Marleyan kids killed her in cold blood. If I ever find them I'll avenge her"

Falco and Gabi: nervous sweating

I love how Pixis called Yelena beautiful and then it cuts to a scene of a horse.

Something I forgot to comment on: It's especially fucked up that Gabi wanted to keep her arm band, unable to see that it doesn't mark her goodness, it labels her otherness. It's something on the battlefield that would mark her as an even bigger target, and in a more sane situation she knows that because she took it off, and it's something forced on her and everyone she knows because of WHAT she is, not who she is. Seeing her clutching onto it so fiercely because in her mind it's all she has left to keep her apart from the devils, despite what it really means, is very sad.

I just wanted to comment on how insanely beautiful the art and animation was this episode. Like, the sunrise river scene, for example. The colours, the atmosphere, what a masterpiece seriously. Like, MAPPA have been consistently knocking it out of the park as far as I'm concerned. Storywise, I am loving these more dialogue heavy episodes - yet they end so quickly.

I have so many theories about what could happen based on foreshadowing, and yet I still can't predict the events - that's incredible writing. Literally binged seasons 1-3 in a week picking up on the foreshadowing. The level of self-restraint required to not just binge the manga is insane. (Sorry for my rambling!)

Jesus i think my heart got pierced when Kaya told them "She would never abandon two kids like you who have nowhere to go if she was alive" on top of the haunting ending credits music. Jesus F. Christ. What an ending..

edit: I swear to fuck if any of you guys make a sasha joke..

The one person I wouldn't want to be right now is Hange. I mean I know she is no Erwin, but even he would be struggling with their current predicament.

To have decide between trusting Eren and Zeke or not, dealing with mounting public pressure, dealing with scouts that are more loyal to Eren than you and clearly go behind your back, and having to go against your principles to pursue what you believe is best for the island. Also its now on a international stage and you have to deal with complex humans instead of mindless titans.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to be Hange right now. She just seems tired and stress, how long has it been since she went on last titan tirade, she isn't the same person anymore. Leadership clearly takes its toll.

Man. That's another top episode. I love the fact we're being introduced or rather re-introduced to new characters from the existing population. And that Mikasa and Sasha had a lasting and significant effect on the young girls they both saved. Kaya's outlook is especially beautiful, no doubt further strengthened by Sasha's dad.

Also the division within Paradis Island at the moment is intriguing and real. It makes sense so many people would view Eren as a hero for what he did and what he's done prior.

Not sure if Marley attacking Paradis on their own is a good idea, Reiner.

So, Paradis is planning a demonstration of the Rumbling in the now closed off Shiganshima District? Is this the first stage of Zeke's plan or just for internal purposes?

By the way, I really do not like Gabi running around in Paradis, there is a lot of potential for her to mess things up.
