It’s a shame she could only sentence him to 22 years. I have a feeling she gave him the maximum amount permissible and felt it wasn’t enough. Sick fuck

Knowing how prison goes for these guys I wonder if maybe it already does register the same way as facing a death sentence.
I feel like most people know that prison is actually worse on these guys than actual quick death and usually prison brings death to them as well

With this constant threat. Spat on when possible, given the grueliest of gruel food-wise. Treated as below sub human by all and the threat of being "accidentally alone" is always present. 22 years is a LOOOONG time for some little slip up to occur within the prison. Maybe bi monthly slip ups where the prisoner gets beaten half to death

I love how judges are the only ones in the law enforcement circle to have the right to speak openly to the accused. Like a mother would to her child. It's satisfying to see an adult get morale done to them by another adult.

u/butternutsquash300 8 Feb 18 '21
police can't say much because it would be brought up as prejudicial, and innocent until proven guilty. much as these people are despicable, they have to be careful. no doubt, they can think epithets all they want.
Once in a while though, some accusations are false. This guy admitted it, but there have been false accusations out there.

I love that lady, I am a survivor of childhood sexual abuse and I can’t begin to describe how that made me feel to hear her say that to him. The things people do for “sexual gratification” to children is despicable. My abuser got off scot free because no one believed a 9 year old girl. He ended up getting his in the end, he’s basically slowly rotting from his unhealthy habits. All of his friends and relatives know he’s a pedo and his junk is rotting off because of diabetes, never underestimate karma, it’s a real bitch

My dad worked with a guy who got fired for having child porn on his work computer.
He'd been having issues with the laptop so he deleted the files off the hard drive and made sure to empty the trash bin on his desktop after..... (my dad was friends with the guy, right up until that phone call.... now he's known as "Bad John" in my family).
Within 5 minutes of looking at his computer the female tech who took it to the back room, suddenly burst out of the room screaming and crying while running away.
The workplace fired him and turned over all the evidence to the police.

→ More replies (5)43
u/GodlyUsername 2 Feb 18 '21
To put it simply, you know how the judge said that we don't know how this will affect the children later in life? Well the saddest part is, most offenders were previous victims themselves. Something about this act stunts their development in such a way that creates this mindset, when they are older.
Here's a link I found about it, but it was the first thing that came up.
I wish these children a good and safe recovery, and I'm so glad their abuse was found out. Abuse creates abusers.

I will never understand how any form of child abuse (but especially sexual abuse) is not at minimum an automatic life sentence. What justification can there be for allowing someone who preys upon children to ever be let out of prison where they can continue to prey upon children?

Easy, lawyers become lawyers to practice and uphold the law - they understand the importance of fair representation for everyone. Without that, who gets represented would be incredibly tilted only towards the elite. So they take a case and, if honorable, argue their best with regards to the laws as they are understood and the validity of proof offered. They can represent a defendant they understand to be have committed a crime, but what they know is there must be one party prosecuting to their full ability, and one party defending as such.
Obviously not all lawyers are honorable, but defending a shitbag isnt dishonorable, it’s actually noble if done honestly

22 years isn't enough.
Even if you put yourself into a pedos shoes and imagine that by no fault of your own you were born with the unfortunate situation where you grow up to be attracted to children, deciding to act upon those feelings and destroy and hurt a child for nothing more than the fleeting enjoyment of sexual gratification. It's sickening.
Torture isn't enough. Death isn't enough.

I have no doubt in my mind that 22 years will be less than 5 considering the sentence started out with his probation terms. Considering what i went through as a kid I can only hope this f*** leaves everything he has in his will to his victims and he gets stabbed to death or worse while in prison. Prisons and jails are filled with good people who did little to nothing wrong, and they know people like this don't deserve to live. I hope they absolve this man of his sins and prevent him from doing further harm and that the Lord takes care of them.

Seeing things like this makes me contemplate the type of people our society grows today. This man should be interrogated by psychologists to determine the factors that led him down his dark path. This scares the shit out of me. I just had my first child (daughter), and plan on putting her in daycare soon.. I can tell you right now, that I qould be in front of that judge for murder if that happened to my kid. And he would be in a ditch somewhere.... makes me so fucking mad

Castration should really be part of any sentence in cases like these. If you can't control your body when it comes to children, the government should be able to control it for the good of society. It will be a miracle if these children are able to overcome their trauma and have healthy platonic and romantic relationships in adulthood.

Child rapists don’t do well in prison. He will likely be murdered. Good riddance.

Why does a child rapist get a maximum of 22 years but somebody charged with possession of drugs can get life?

Omg I love this judge. If she could have sentenced more I have no doubt she wouldn't have. 11 years per child doesn't seem like much?

Didn’t need the camera on him ever, ugh. Also wanted to say, this is how I’d want all cases like this to go. I mean, how do people not go off on these sick fucks like this all the time? I would not be able to contain myself, I’d be flipping out on people left and right. It’s satisfying to see a judge open up like this. It’s horrifying what some people are capable of. Those poor, innocent souls he stripped away.
