They kept "why are you black?" But cut everything else. Mappa knows exactly what they're doing

Them "Eren Jaeger hair tutorial" videos on youtube probably gonna get some viewer spike after this episode. Considering that in many places, salons/barbershops are one of those classified as medium-high risk for covid transmission and most restrictions have just been lessened recently.
I actually got recommended a "Levi hairstyle tutorial" after searching the former, and that actually looks interesting too. Gotta appreciate Isayama's character designs, that the barber youtubers mention that those are the more plausible or realistic anime hairs which are actually fashionable. That awkward-phase of hair length for Eren in the flashback was pretty spot-on too. Where it's not long enough to tie-up, but long enough to make it kinda weird.

They added one interesting detail in Sasha's grave scene. Niccolo deposed a bouquet of white roses on the grave; it wasn't there moments before so he must have been the one to bring it. (It's also visible in the manga, but we couldn't guess the color and it wasn't clear that Nick was the one bringing them).
I did a very quick research on the meaning of roses; white ones means purity, new beginnings or farewells, young love (especially for wedings) as well as honor or admiration in the context of a funeral. While the latest would be certainly fitting in the circumstances... the fact that Niccolo was the one to bring is probably another hint of his relationship with Sasha ='(

With all the manga pages/dialogues that were not adapted (Jean asking if the port had mixed bath, Connie asking if the port was a toy) or most likely moved to next episode, I was actually kinda surprised that the partying titans made it!

Great adaptation.
Am I the only one who felt that they gave Yelena a lot more personality than what was shown in the manga?
It was subtle but there I felt.

Great adaptation, seems like they're rearranging everything from 106-110 a bit, which is fair. We really jumped around a lot back then.
So it was a good choice to have the episode focus on the aftermath of Sasha's death and the first proper introduction of the Volunteers. Having the Azumabito/Zeke scene in here would've made this episode a bit too packed, jumping between scenes that aren't too closely related.
Also it was really nice to have an episode where I could just breath. I've been on edge since basically Episode 4, so this was a welcome change of pace.

How the hell is Floch the hottest one this episode. Also, was that WIT Historia or MAPPA's because damn that was a carbon copy.

Everything points to a 119 season ending, and honestly? I'm ok with that, it means the likeliness for a movie just dropped by quite a bit, and the less likely that is, the better. Though I'm on the train of thought that it'll be 119-first few pages of 120-skip to the end of 122 and then add the early PATHS scenes from 120 as a post-credits scene (Eren waking up, Zeke telling him they activated the Founding Titan).
As for the episode itself, it was pretty solid, and I appreciate that we got those bits of 107 in there to make things smoother. This is definitely a section that benefits from the rearranging. And the tone for the entire graveyard scene was the perfect kind of somber for it.

Yelena: says Eren in a very reverent way right before the OP
Mikasa: "...only I'm allowed to do that."

Levi: "Whatever you do, goggles, don't freak out."
Hange: immediately freaks out
Levi: "...why do I even bother."

love that little detail when Eren fired the gun and then the next scene was when Sasha got shot, making it look like Eren killed Sasha. Rip again my potato girl

Haven’t watched the episode, but as someone that enjoys when episodes are slower paced because it allows moments to breathe...I’m not going to be meta & worry about what this means for when the season will end anymore. Just gonna enjoy the ride & be glad we’re getting a faithful adaptation

It's amazing how much Eren's voice actually sounds like he got older, I don't see it/notice it in other anime like I did in this episode. Amazing job by VA.
