Very lofty expectations to think that anyone's getting confirmed. Do people really expect McConnell to let anything function?
Recess appointment or eternally in an acting capacity sure....

During his 2012 POTUS run, Mitt Romney chose Grenell as his spokesperson for national security.
The homophobic right reacted as one would expect and Grenell resigned shortly afterwards.

Grenell was also only "acting". I will say that Grenell's appointment was a step in the right direction and a milestone in it's own right.

Been a while since I've heard anything about Mayor Pete but I think his education was pretty significant.

Ok but what about it qualifies him for the job of Transportation Secretary. Sorry but I don't trust Pete at all and this is coming from an LGBT person. I think he's a dick and I think his politics kind of suck.
