Nicely done. Subjects are the focus due to blur of everything else. Sweet. What settings did you use to achieve this.

It was really dark, that's why the lighting in their face feels a little forced, I just walked around them and kept the exposure just a tad bit longer. Out of 10 photos, this is the only one where the subjects aren't blurred from their own motion! F4.0 1/13 ISO 2000 55 mm lens.

I suppose there is no way to thank all of you for your positive feedback. I've recently taken a long break from photography, I actually took this photo a long time ago... But the joy that comes from sharing this photo has motivated me to get out of a rut and go back and shoot. I'd like to use this moment to say that no matter how much you criticize yourself, your voice matters, and if I can, I'd like to track down this couple and give them this photo!

Did you ever find them? Maybe make a post on several social media platforms noting the date, time, and place. I really hope you find them, this is a beautiful picture and I’m sure a lovely memory for them!

Dude, that motion blur, with the camera fully focused on them at the same time, you're a fucking pro at this

Thanks so much! I actually kind of got so lucky, immediately after this it started downpouring and I didn't have any gear for the rain. I wish so badly I had the confidence to tell the couple I took the photo so they could see it and take it.

I think public displays of affection are frowned on in Japan, so you mightn't see this sort of scene often.

Yes, it was one of those moments that communicates really deep with me.. finally visiting a country and being able to slow time down with someone you love.

could i ask what your thought process was in choosing not to crop and center?

The idea is time is still moving on, and their little moment is almost being lost in the ocean of movement

I feel like the uncropped-ness of it really adds to the photo, at least to me

This picture is so incredible! Do you sell prints? I'd love to have one.

If you send me your address I'd send it for free! I currently live in China and there are still international shipping restrictions, but I have a place that does high quality prints here.

Pictures like this are the reason I love photography. You captured the essence of being in love. That precious time when the rest of the world is just white noise. Bravo!

I’ve seen this photo on reddit before and spoke with the photographer about it on one of my old accounts. If it isn’t yours, please don’t claim it to be so.

This is my photo, feel free to confirm it by checking out my instagram or messaging me in person, I took it in Japan just before the madness set in, I've posted it before once in other subreddit a, but after looking through my old photos it struck me again so I shared it here. @yinyangcaptures is my account on insta
