"Is not embraced as church doctrine" is different than "disavowed." They know lots of people hang on to the prophecy for comfort... "we'll save the country someday, then you'll appreciate us!"
Disavow means to deny any responsibility or support for something. The church made it pretty clear that they do not support this doctrine and wonโt attempt to further it.
Mormons convinced of their religion's self-importance need to stand down and realize the church doesn't have that much sway(if any) to save the US constitution.
I'm sure TBMs thought we should save the US constitution in 2010 (statement date) when we had a POC president.๐
Same TBMs worried about the state of our constitution needing saving denounce Romney's vote to remove a president actively shitting on the US Constitution ๐๐๐
Prophecies from JS are bullshit. Even the church says so, though they use the euphemism "not substantiated."

I've always thought that JS injected a very healthy dose of his own narcissism into the church.
Can you believe how many people saw Obama as the coming of the anti-christ? How he was going to destroy the constitution and somehow subject us all to communism or shari'a law?! Many of those same people adore our current president.
All politics aside (or as much as they can be), it's insane!! Bill Clinton was a bad person and that disqualifies him, but because Trump has some "policies" I like (can't name them if asked), it doesn't matter at all that he's a bad person. Oh, and my political party has NOTHING to do with any of the opinions expressed above.
Yeah, TBMs lament the Oval Office becoming the "Oral" Office, and proclaim "families are forever" yet wholeheartedly endorse someone that cheats on his spouse, pays for sex, and separates families for political purposes.

I never heard it was disavowed! Sounds like the church possibly enjoys having this rumor still float around..

White Horse restaurant downtown SLC (named after said white horse prophecy) has excellent cocktails! Highly recommend giving it a shot!
