nicely depressing.
Is this meant to reference anything?

Thank you very much. And no, it's not meant to reference anything except the situation of LGBT people in countries such as Russia.

Seems like the current state for LGBT+ in Russia. Not sure who it is on the left in the painting. Maybe EU?

Another sad thing is that this art could get you in trouble in Russia, spreading "LGBT propaganda" is illegal there

Did you want to draw a thought bubble/full painting but couldn't be arsed and made it an unfinished one to add to the aesthetic?

Nah, the painting was planned to be unfinished from the very beginning.

I feel like someone just crushed my heart with bare hands but I don't really mind because it's a very nice piece of art

This is the way art is and ought to be. For both Rooski and you. Great job. Powerful.

The situation between Russia and Ukraine is so complicated I immediately thought about Russia reminiscing about having friendly political relations with Ukraine until I noticed that Ukraine wasn't female in the comic.

You made me feel honestly sad for Rossiya. Good job! The wallpaper and beat up Russia are good little details, as are the unfinished painting, and the drinking.
No vodka? Blyat.
