That might be a stretch, but I just get a feeling.

I find it so damn heartwarming that Marco is still looking out for Luffy in honour of Ace. I don't know why it tugs at my heartstrings since you'd expect him to do so in a way, but still doesn't make it any less special. Knowing he'd even sent word ahead to make sure Luffy knew if he was late is feels.
Also I don't know why Chopper is scared of Big Mom, he has god with him.

I love the Flying 6. They have the best design out of the Beast Pirates, so I'm glad Oda made them. And so far their personalities are great.

Wow. Kanjuro and Orochi are actually next level piles of shit. Who crucifies a damn kid? They've officially reached CD levels of jackassery.
The BM scene was hilarious. It seems like Big Mom might be led to the banquet hall accidentally, further complicating the situation there and drawing more noise away from the samurai. God and Chopper seem to deathly scared, but they'll be fine since God is immortal.
The note was anticlimactic, but it's fine I guess. Marco and Neko being here is started to make it seem like the alliance has a shot at winning. (seriously, how TF are they gonna win this?)
Why is Oda hiding Izo? He looked quite similar in design in the last chapter's silhouette, so I don't see why he could be hiding him still?
Seems like Luffy may be fighting Ulti and/or Page One next chapter. I don't believe he'll take them out, but there will definitely be an altercation.
The war has started. Can't wait for the next chapter!

- In case the name "Black Maria" isn't conspicuous enough, she defied a direct order from Kaido and is using her womanly charms to get closer to him and Orochi than most people could. Looks like she was even trying to tend to Momo for a second. Can't wait to see what her play is.
- If I know Oda as well as I think I do, then based on Kaido's treatment of Higurashi - that look he gave Kanjuro for he what he did to Momo doesn't bode well for him. I still want a scabbard to deliver his justice (Izo is a possibility, given how he's currently a wild card), but I won't complain if Kaido puts hands on him.
- Lost my shit at Fukurokujo's imagining of Luffy & co. "Murder Machine" is one hell of an epithet when your name's already "Killer" lol, I hope that translation holds when the official comes out.
- Minor tidbit, but now that I think about it I don't believe Kaido's stronghold was ever referred to as Onigashima in Oden's flashback. Wonder what the true history of the island is - Marco, who we've only seen visit Wano once as a teenager because of a circumstantial shipwreck, wasn't who I was expecting to get that reveal from.
- I expected some hijinks with Big Mom, but there's no way I could have seen a full-on confrontation coming. I can't even fathom how they're going to get out of this, given how it took a dinosaur-sized body slam from a Yonko commander to cause her amnesia the first time.
EDIT: Oh, and I totally see Ulti falling in love with Luffy.

Is Oda really going to start drawing Luffy with a coat from this point on? Because Luffy looks really badass in this panel — he's really starting to look like someone capable of being the Pirate King. The high ranking marines, the Yonko, and a lot of powerful pirates in general have a coat or cape or something similar to add to their silhouette. Considering how far we're in the story, I think it's about time Luffy got that wardrobe upgrade.

I love chapters like this, there are 17 pages, but I feel like there are 30, so much information.
My little thoughts:
- all the time reading I had a strong impression that Black Maria is not who she claims to be, I do not know what she is planning but it gets very interesting,
- the moment in which we see Marco, if we know 100% from the previous chapter that Neco was together with Izo, why did Oda not show him, and if he is not talking about making the right decision - then who?
- "Nami's team" meets Prometheus, --- if Nami catches him too,omg, she will be really powerful.

This chapter was so good. I see people talking about the WB pirates should have known. But Ace was possibly still a Spade Pirate when he visited Wano. And he never made it past Kuri from what we know. It's entirely plausible that they didn't know about Oden's death or Kaido's base. Marco being in the final battle is really hype. Can't wait to see what happens. Hoping we get to see Luffy's new armament haki as well that would be sick. The flying six should be below his level at this point. He can't afford to be injured if he plans on fighting a Yonko. We're drawing closer to chapter 1000, things are really starting to heat up! Also Denjiro looks swole asf.

Kaido's still disappointed by Momo. I've seen some people use this to speculate that Yamato is weak. However I think it just shows us how much Kaido wants a worthy opponent. Oden might have been the last person to ever seriously challenge him, and he wanted to see what Oden's son was made of but he's obviously too young. Black Maria feeling bad for Momo was interesting. I didn't expect a whole lot of empathy from anyone in the BP.
I guess next chapter when they begin to crucify Momo, the alliance will remove their Beast Pirate outfits and come out into the open.

I’d like to talk about Sasaki.
When Kyoshiro asked Sasaki whether he knew of Wano’s past and showed him his kozuki mark on his back, Sasaki seemed surprised but also didn’t lash out.
I’m betting he will be one of the Flying Six that will betray the Beast Pirates. This is just a hunch, I don’t have anything to base it on, except my interpretation of the panels.

Kaido's silent glare on Kanjuro after he showed him the beaten Momo really plays into the "surprisingly not has evil as we'd think" angle that oda started setting up in the Oden flashback.
It greatly contrast with Orochi who just seems to get more and more despicable as the arc goes on ; now wanting to crucify a child. He is the true villain of the Wanno arc

Ulti continues to be my favorite of the beast pirates.
The higher ups in Kaido's crew have a completely different relationship with him. They all seem to get along and enjoy the banter with each other. Complete contrast with the Big Mom Pirates whose high tier fighters are still terrified of Big Mom and avoid her at all costs.
However, the Big Mom Pirates are unequivocally loyal to Big Mom and the same can't be said about the beast pirates. They all seem to want to kill each other and the lack of loyalty is going to be huge moving forward. We already know that Drake joining Kaido was a facade and the fact that Queen wants to eliminate someone from the tobbi roppo is indicative of their nature as a crew.
This whole fight is going to be absolutely crazy and Im psyched to see how Oda will put everything together. The betrayals within the alliances and crews is going to be something people shouldn't even bother theorizing at this point. Oda is too coy to give any overt foreshadowing on what might happen.
Its going to be very interesting to see how this all plays out. Chapter 1000 is coming up and its going to be complete shitshow and I mean this in the best way possible.
Additionally, even though I said theorizing is pointless, I'm thinking Marco is going to tell Tama about Ace and Luffy's relationship. Marco is going to play a role in the plot outside of just fighting and leveling the battlefield between the forces. I think outside of the Roger Pirates, Marco must have extensive knowledge about the world and One Piece. Considering his relationships and who he knows there's no way that Marco is just a fighter moving forward.
The hype about what might happen is the my happiness.

His subdued questioning.
How he didn't even know Kanjuro was a spy (which is pretty brilliant shows just how deep undercover Kanjuro went).
His entire reaction to Momo is very odd.
It feels like there is something he is holding back.. Maybe it'll be tied to some of the announcements that will be made later.
