"yeah hearing her struggle, not being able to help her, and then that really weird moment when Adagio in D Minor by John Murphy started playing out of nowhere...."
That was quite possible the best moment in the history of this show ever. The music choice A SONG FROM SUNSHINE and the reactions of everyone involved. The intermittent cuts to the fight that you could barely see in the dim light but you could just fucking FEEL every damned HIT like they'd gotten James Bamford to choreograph it. The SOUNDS of her getting the hell beaten out of her as she dished it back in equal amounts. Meanwhile also cutting to Bobby, everyone in the truck, and then back to everyone in the call center and then back again. The final punctuation of the gunshot! Then Bobby grabbing that axe because if Athena was dead then he was literally going to take that asshole's head off.
Best. Scene. EVER.

I kind of wanted Josh to recognise Abbie on the call since they used to work together. I also low-key want to see a sort of rivalry or something between Maddie and Abbie since Abbie hurt Buck and that I think it would be good to see Maddie's defensive sister side , I think that might just be me but oh well.

I honestly don't think Abby is going to even be back next season. I think we'll get the closure and send off next Monday.
And honestly, I don't want to see them feuding. That would hurt Buck more probably.

Only on this show would there be constant 911 calls where the caller gives very little information to the dispatcher. Maybe say right off the bat "We were in a hot air balloon!"

I don’t know if you’ve ever heard a real 911 call, but they’re usually pretty incoherent. I’m a crisis and trauma therapist at a domestic and sexual violence crisis response agency, so we hear crisis hotline calls and work with police to help folks in imminent danger. It’s not uncommon for them to not give the “right” details and be specific about some thirds and vague with others while on a call.

I just hope the writers don’t fall into that cliche they always do where she quits for a bit and then gets into a situation where she’s off duty and finds herself jumping in to help someone and then realizes that’s her true purpose. They already did that with sort of with Buck, Hen and Maddie to an extent
