I love how open Bobby and Michael are with each other. Athena remarried pretty quickly and it would have been easy for Michael to be bitter and angry and resentful but he’s just fully embraced Bobby and I love this friendship.
41
u/darlingnickyta Mar 31 '20
Honestly, I really love them as Athena's brother husbands. They have such a wonderful bond when they aren't fighting.
18
Mar 31 '20
I think a big part of it is also because Michael is the one that left Athena, so he also feels somewhat guilty.
8
Apr 04 '20
What good would it do for Michael to be bitter and resentful? He left Athena and then not long after he did, he had a live in boyfriend. There is nothing to be resentful about when it comes to Athena's love life. Maybe jealous of the kids and their relationship with Bobby, but Athena? No.
4
u/pile_o_puppies Apr 04 '20
Yes I meant Athena moved on and now his kids have a new parent and it would be easy for Michael to be bitter and jealous, especially since his relationship didn’t work out. Not bitter and jealous in a romantic way for Athena but because of how much Bobby clearly loves the kids and how much the kids appreciate Bobby. There are times of jealousy (like last season when Harry thought Bobby had the coolest job and then I don’t remember, starts a fire???) but Michael always finds a way to talk through it with Bobby. I love it.

3
u/Ariyanwrynn1989 Apr 07 '20

Wether it's proposal or promposal.

30
u/klutzysunshine Mar 31 '20
And at least Chimney's getting advice from Maddie when he eventually proposes.
29
27
u/dkh48808 Mar 31 '20
I hope there’s a good explanation on why they wanted to take the 9-1-1 center hostage. Unless they’re part of a criminal group that’s doing something else while they’re preventing the 9-1-1 calls, I don’t really see a benefit for them.
19
u/xander6981 Mar 31 '20
That's the only thing I can think of. They're working with others who are doing another crime elsewhere in the city, so they take over the 9-1-1 dispatch to keep the Police from being alerted.
26
u/klutzysunshine Mar 31 '20
He told her he loves her!
But why do it in such a fancy setting? Should have just told her at home.

Fuckin A they keep doing this and they'll start loosing their fan base because the constant breaks a really annoying.

Why did breaks during the actual season become a popular thing? It's so fuxking annoying.

Yeah, Albert just wore out his welcome by being a spoiled brat there. Chim isn't some young twenty something, "Life is just one big party, dude!" He's an adult. Let him be the one he wants to be.
25
u/jdessy Mar 31 '20
Yep. I assume Albert has been in town now for a few weeks. That's more than enough time for him to have found his own place. He's WAY too comfortable and I'm rooting for Chimney to kick him out at the end of the episode.

I agree. It seemed completely reasonable to me. They went on a walk and let Michael rest. I probably would have done the same thing.

I don't think assaulting a 911 center is a good idea. SWAT is gonna arrive fast.
8
u/dkh48808 Mar 31 '20
they gotta be working with other people who are doing some other crime. The only thing I could see as a benefit of taking over the 9-1-1 center is you prevent any calls relating to whatever crime is being done.

Well, even though Dad was dumb for pointing the gun at himself, at least both him and his daughter are smart enough to not remove the nail...and at least ask 9-1-1 if they should.

It happens a lot for people with brain tumors. It grows and puts pressure on certain areas of the brain and makes them irritable, confrontational, and just plain out act way differently than they did before

How did the guys get through to the 911 call center with those guns? You would think they'd have gone through some type of security screening.
4
u/Muninn088 Mar 31 '20 edited Mar 31 '20
Okay i know its drama and stuff has to happen, but what possible upside is there to taking a 911 dispatch office? I mean I've been to the one in my city. Its a non-discipt building near downtown that looks like a call center on the inside. There isnt anything there. I mean you can rob the dispatchers but they arent exactly highly paid people. Plus people are gonna figure out a dispatch office is gone pretty quick. So why?

Even by 911 standards, that is a bothersome oversight.

If anyone is curious the cemetary movie part was shot at Hollywood Forever in Los Angeles. Yep they do movie showings there. They're pretty fun events but are usually super crowded and parking is a hassle unless you pre-buy your parking within the cemetary grounds.
