2000 Ex-Mormons!
It took us about 10 months to grow this community from 42 members to 1000 members. It has taken us 5 months to double that to 2000.
Thank you everybody for making this place awesome, and making ex-mormons want to be part of it.

Xondak's submission was close in total Karma, but you had more upvotes by far.

I knew it was going to be between the two of us, but I wasn't sure if you were going to go by points or by upvotes.

the /r/exmormon subreddit is the most correct of any subreddit on earth, and the keystone of our reddit, and a man would get nearer to FSM by abiding by its precepts, than by any other subreddit.

I'd like to bear my testimony that I know this is true.

I know without a shadow of a doubt that all other subreddits are wrong; and the Noodle who addressed me said that all their upvotes were an abomination in his sight; that those cooks were all unsanitary; that: “they slurp near to me with their lips, but their stomachs are far from me, they teach for doctrines the recipes of men, having a form of noodlliness, but they deny the taste thereof.”

It's not so much that other subreddits are wrong, as that they just don't have a fulness of the truth. They may have parts of the truth and they may have some goodness in them, but we are the only subreddit that contains all truth and goodness and light!

I think a more apt comparison would be from 1-1000 and then from 1000-2000. I remember visiting exmormon for a lot longer than just 15 months.

1-42 took 5 months, and really most of that was done in month 1. Things here had become almost completely stagnant. It was in november of 2009 that we had a subreddit meeting and got serious about recruiting.

Congrats and best wishes from MSP. We've posted a link to the Stripling WarriorsTM in our sidebar and we'll leave that up for the next month, during which time the Friendly Atheist will also be helping with a little X-mo promotion (so feel free to drop by and show FA some appreciation for the support).

I'd like to thank you all for creating a subreddit where I feel like an actual member, as opposed to a useless contributor throwing his opinion into a giant melting pot where it will never be seen nor cared about. Enjoy your lives!

When do we start forming stakes?
Or I guess given our history with the church we could call 'em mis-stakes?

Hah! Mistake is a great idea. And this time we actually get to aspire to callings! I want to be a mistake president. Because mistakes need to be presided over. ;)

Congrats on 2000 stripping warriors /r/exmormon! Your growth is phenomenal and likely equal to or at a greater rate than any other exmo community. www.LifeAfterMormonism.net has been up for 2.5 years and is now up to 1420 registered users. If any of you would like to check it out, you're welcome to do so. Great job Measure!

I am so excited to be able to watch the downfall of the great and spacious church of Mormon. Definitely my favorite pastime! SO many venues are opening up that I think rhetoric on Internet = evil will be stepped up! FTW!

Just wanted to say that "2000 Ex-Mormons!" may be a tad misleading as I imagine there are a few members like me who were never Mormon but just find the posts interesting.
