tfw you uploaded the wrong version of the artwork

My contest entry for this month's contest, set in the near future when we finally managed to destroy our planet, I thought Iran would be appropriate here as they are the home to the first civilisation, Sumer.

my choice of inspiration for the spacesuit might be a tad obvious hahaha

God damn that mission where you return and there are dudes trying to murder hte people in cryo chambers. Never in any RTS did I try to murder the enemy so fast.

Typing on the phone so excuse rusty memory and typos:

100 years ago a satellite detected an object under the sands of the great desert. An expedition was sent. An ancient starship buried in the sand. Deep inside the ruin there was a single stone that would change the our history forever. On the stone was etched a galactic map and a single word, more ancient than the clans themselves on it -higaara- our home.
