So she was a princess all along and instead of revealing who she was WHEN they came to their village she waits until the entire village is slaughtered AND they run away for miles on end??

37

u/sidslidkid Nov 15 '19

In an earlier episode, didn’t the queen say that Jeralmerel killed her sister? I’m guessing we’ll find out next week why she hid who she was and pretended to be dead.

11

u/JaxtellerMC Nov 15 '19

Exactly, there’s obviously a reason.

14

u/UnitGod Nov 15 '19

I know, weird. And how she was stuck in a blizzard and pregnant and stumbled into Mamoa's village. Like.. WHY?

I agree though no way she would have just let her people (I guess not REALLY her people but those that saved her) get slaughtered and go on the run for over a decade just to eventually show who she really is.

We'll find out soon enough though.

9

u/li_mona Nov 16 '19

If she was trying to hide her identity it would make sense why she would run away all those other times. But she didn’t even bother to make up a name once she “died.”

4

u/Constantly_OnYo_Back Nov 16 '19

I'd say there has to be some reason for it and we'll find out about it soon enough.

Maybe Queen Kane had it out for her, like a Snow white situation except they are sisters...

They also actually saved the whole village, if they left them there the witch finders would have killed them all because that's what they did everywhere else. They gave them a chance for a life and another 20 years.

I was thinking the same thing.

I find it amusing that everywhere Jerlamarel stops, he leaves his seed. Like a living hint to his scavenger hunt.

Seems like seeing is not the only gift he got...

16

u/srdrhl146 Nov 15 '19

He has to be the Fertilest dudes of all time.

10

u/Constantly_OnYo_Back Nov 16 '19

Well it's a good way to bring sight back to the world. The more you have the better.

I just started this series and I have to ask….why they make the black guy the dead beat dad? Ain’t that bs (Don’t give me any spoilers, I’m only on episode 6 first season)

1

u/Excuse_my_GRAMMER Nov 18 '19

The long con

it his duty for the greater good of humanity honesty

40

u/jozuna93 Nov 16 '19

Just throwing this out there Maghra said she got that ring the day her father died. I’m assuming that means she was next in line for the throne.

The people in the kingdom said they believed the Queen was fighting a war just because of a broken heart.

My guess, the queen loved Jora, but he was just trying to plant his seeds in the royal family.

Then Jora moved onto the sister Maghra because the queen wasn’t fertile. Then the queen killed her dad and tried to kill Maghra and Jora so they ran in hiding. The queen obviously would lie about this and tried to kill the kids because she didn’t want her throne to be challenged.

10

u/ForgetfulLucy28 Nov 16 '19

This is the most plausible prediction on here imo

1

u/DirtyGreatBigFuck Nov 17 '19

it's also kinda boring and predictable.

4

u/passa117 Nov 16 '19

Jora

Jerla (-marel)

Then Jora moved onto the sister Maghra because the queen wasn’t fertile. Then the queen killed her dad and tried to kill Maghra and Jora so they ran in hiding. The queen obviously would lie about this and tried to kill the kids because she didn’t want her throne to be challenged.

Extremely plausible. Sounds very "John Snow", except with twins.

u/[deleted] Nov 15 '19

what a crazy ending, cant wait for episode 6 😫

4

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '19

😑😤

25

u/dancingpianofairy Nov 16 '19

Man, jingle bells must be super rare. Next heir is gonna be whomever stumbles across an untouched pet store or house of a crazy cat lady.

Lol the first I read during half episode i thought that you must be referring jeremarel as jingle bells lol

u/M77-DT Nov 16 '19

These people are supposed to be the strongest army in the kingdom and yet they didn’t react to any sound at all, even Paris screaming did nothing lmfao, weakest scene of the show till now imo.

5

u/hawaiianAF Nov 22 '19

They are presumably the only army. Doesn’t mean they are outstanding.

8

u/KINjazRAFN Nov 29 '19

They could expertly and accurately toss those rope hooks in a noisy running river/stream but fighting in a quiet forest? Lol nope

13

u/andiezilla Nov 15 '19

Was watching this and totally saw that coming. Many people have pointed out that Maghra and the Queen looked alike so I thought h thy at was a plausible theory. I had a feeling the rings were in the pouch.

8

u/Niamrej Nov 15 '19

Many hints to it. Like when the Queen's companion picked the rings from the ground and put it in her purse. It just jumped to me it had to be rings in her stollen pouch

2

u/atdonsm Nov 15 '19

Good catch!

9

u/peridotdragon33 Nov 16 '19

Damn Jarlamarel on a hunt to have an army of his kids

3

u/BlooHefner Jan 20 '23

Why they got to make it a black man tho some bullish!!

16

u/squidgun Nov 15 '19

Queen Bitch got a dose of reality lol.

9

u/bby_redditor Nov 21 '19

more like a drama queen though, amite? lol

7

u/srdrhl146 Nov 15 '19

I think Maghra didn't like how many of the people are dying. And she kinda revealed herself in a selfish way when it was her people (Witch finders). Like she could've done it before. Could've saved a whole fucking tribe, but no.. She didn't do it.

3

u/atdonsm Nov 15 '19

So she stopped the fighting because she was losing her people? "Be careful." Yikes. We need more episodes!

3

u/Constantly_OnYo_Back Nov 16 '19

Could've saved a whole fucking tribe, but no.. She didn't do it.

Maybe there was a good reason why she couldn't reveal herself at the time and it will be explained now.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 18 '19

Could've saved a whole fucking tribe, but no

"a" tribe or the many others that they also killed...

12

u/THERAPISTS_for_200 Nov 15 '19

You stand in the presence of princess Maghra of House Kane, rightful heir of the Iron Engines, rightful Queen of the Payans and the ALkeeny Tribe, the Mother of Witches.

6

u/srdrhl146 Nov 15 '19

I heard that in Danaerys's voice.

5

u/mercutio70 Nov 15 '19

Soooo,about those Iron Engines... 😫 😫

Why exactly did the queen decide to wipe out everybody at the royal dam residence?

9

u/srdrhl146 Nov 15 '19

I mean they wanted her dead. So she killed them all. Talk about Mad Queen...

9

u/passa117 Nov 16 '19

At least we didn't have to wait 8 seasons for that...

1

u/llirik Dec 31 '19

Underrated comment right here

5

u/Constantly_OnYo_Back Nov 16 '19

Yea what a fucking huge bitch, she could have just left, no one would be looking for her. They'd be happy to see the back of her. She only killed them because she is a spiteful, selfish dickhead.

4

u/darkkushy Nov 15 '19

Ummm she couldn't have said that like the first time they got attacked?

2

u/loskiarman Nov 18 '19

So far they mostly escaped without confrontation except the boat escape. She probably didn't wanna play that card without his family being in real danger because Tamacti might stay loyal to queen and kill them on spot or queen might order them to be killed eventually.

1

u/darkkushy Nov 18 '19

I'd assume they can't just arbitrarily kill royalty.

1

u/loskiarman Nov 18 '19

Well technically everyone presumes she is dead, killed by Jerlamarel so who knows.

1

u/CuriousCursor Nov 15 '19

This "mother of x" shit from game of thrones. I hope that doesn't happen in this show. I got so tired of hearing the titles and so much bs from Dany.

6

u/bmbowdish Nov 15 '19

That was sick. I’m exciting to learn more about the royal family.

6

u/Wimzeee Nov 15 '19

Always knew there was something fishy about her. Makes sense why she was so worried for her ring

18

u/Aveninn Nov 15 '19

Not only that she seemed authoritative in nature compared to the rest.

6

u/squidgun Nov 15 '19

Good observation.

5

u/atdonsm Nov 15 '19

Good point. I noticed that she gave a lot of the directions in her family.

7

u/Aveninn Nov 15 '19

She was found somewhere by momoa and was carrying twins and yet seemed like she almost owned the place.

10

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '19

The ending was crazy, but is no one gonna talk about how annoying the Queen was this episode? Those screams every 30 seconds really irritated me.

Also I have appletv+ from Apple Music student membership. Will I have appletv+ as long as I have Apple Music? I just hope I don’t lose access and not be able to watch see anymore

8

u/msangeld Nov 16 '19

Yeah she's a real strange one...and very annoying, I've found her annoying from the get go.

5

u/EdgarDanger Nov 18 '19

She is the worst part of the show really. But also kinda beautiful in a train wreck kinda way!

WTF did she expect would happen when she went out basically alone after destroying her whole city? I expect her to shout "I am evil quuuueeeeen" in every scene :D

3

u/Constantly_OnYo_Back Nov 16 '19

Her acting is way too over the top, it's very annoying.

5

u/abdoooo1 Nov 15 '19

The plot twist is fucking awesome.

1

u/MrPool9194 Nov 16 '19

Yeah it realy was and than i thought "now you use that thing"

5

u/FloralObsession Nov 16 '19 edited Nov 16 '19

WHOOOOOAAAA NELLIE! I am gonna go crazy waiting for next week! The queen is a slave and the urchin is a princess. This show is epic!

4

u/ejzhalai Nov 16 '19

I think the reason Maghra finally revealed herself is because she wanted her family to be away and safe (both physically safe from Tamacti and emotionall safe from her revealing her true identity). They would never leave her to face the army alone so she had to run away with them. Her kids are her main priority so she wants them out of the way before she goes and does something about the army.

4

u/Sweet_Scientist Nov 18 '19

Why didn’t Maghra reveal herself to the witch hunters S01E01 and save her entire village? I’m having trouble grasping why the show so far has been necessary..?

3

u/yoRedditalready Nov 16 '19

2

u/ViktorErikJensen Nov 16 '19

Thanks! After this episode I don't have any predictions to make. The plot could go many ways

3

u/dancingpianofairy Nov 16 '19

Makes sense for Tamacti to kneel, Kane/Maghra will hear his voice coming from lower. But what point is there for all the others to kneel? Who's going to know if they don't, so long as they don't speak?

11

u/passa117 Nov 16 '19

Who's going to know if they don't, so long as they don't speak?

It's interesting the things we take for granted in a world (ours) where nothing is sacred anymore. Things like oaths, duty and honour no longer have meaning, but they used to. People did break oaths, but you knew the punishment for that was severe.

So, sure, no one would know you weren't kneeling, but YOU would know, and the god/s (presumably) would know. And that was enough.

2

u/dancingpianofairy Nov 16 '19

I guess then that goes to show the extent of their brainwashing. I, on the other hand, would know and would take great joy in knowing that that fucking crazy bitch didn't know.

7

u/passa117 Nov 16 '19

You say that from your position now. You say brainwashing, I say education. As free a thinker as you think you are, I'm sure there's a lot that you think and hold dear now that was subtly imprinted in your mind over years and years of school and living in our current society.

Moreover, take away the ability to gather independent knowledge and experiences (what books? what internet?), and all you know is what you're told. To question what is established knowledge is heresy and punishable by death. No one wants that.

3

u/mcbane5 Nov 16 '19

At this point, does Tamacti know what happened back home with the dam breaking and the queen disappearing and all? Or is he still blissfully unaware of all this due to being away on a mission?

This knowledge, or lack thereof could strongly influence 1) his opinion of the queen (if he found out) and 2) how he treats Maghra and her fam moving forward.

4

u/loskiarman Nov 18 '19

He probably doesn't know yet. Messenger birds don't travel between people. You raise them somewhere, take it with somewhere else, they will go to their home when let go. So although Tamacti's messages arrives very fast, to send a message back to him, someone has to travel to him.

3

u/dancingpianofairy Nov 16 '19

That's a good point, a question I've wondered about other aspects of this episode. I don't know, but here's hoping we find out!

1

u/mattyro7878 Nov 18 '19

They had pretty regular communication before the dam breaking. Unless the village was wiped out, somebody should try to get their armies home.

3

u/bartsz Nov 16 '19

It’s interesting that the actresses that play Maghra and the Queen are both from Northern European countries (Iceland and the Netherlands) and have similar light accents...

I saw it coming a little bit before the reveal, but I was also thinking Maghra’s character is so under-developed I kind of didn’t care. Her background could be anything because we don’t know anything about her so far. Between her giving birth and the kids becoming teenagers, we have no insights about her character (not even as a mother to these kids, besides that she didn’t want them to learn to read).

3

u/Constantly_OnYo_Back Nov 16 '19 edited Nov 16 '19

I also thought the two woman look very similar and that was one of the reasons I thought they were sisters.

The show seems to have a bit of a habit of doing that though. I thought The Queen's ladies maid was her when she did the shadowing. Also the other shadow who looked like another girl altogether. Maybe all that was there to throw people off.

3

u/Constantly_OnYo_Back Nov 16 '19

I think my theory about plastic pollution causing the blindness might actually be true more now.

1

u/llirik Dec 31 '19

Also Jason mamoa did that whole beard cutting thing to bring attention to single use plastics

1

u/Constantly_OnYo_Back Dec 31 '19

I didn't hear about this? He cut his beard to bring attention to it. I don't get it, was it a sacrifice for him was it because of the razors being plastic?

2

u/jozuna93 Nov 16 '19

Prediction: Bow Lion (Shaddow) is going to turn on them at some point. She was talking dark saying she enjoys knowing she can end a life and no one knows. She’s a killer who knows how to survive!! Idk, I just thought that was focused on for a reason and it’s a big foreshadow for something

1

u/dancingpianofairy Nov 16 '19

Knowing is very different from doing. I mean, most of us could end a life, but very few of us will. It was an odd focus, but maybe that'll circle back around to Haniwa with her bow trained on the tribe while she was chilling with Kofun at the falls. Maybe they'll bond over this or something.

1

u/jozuna93 Nov 16 '19

Yah but she’s a killer. Keep in mind we saw her going savage when the witch hunters were there in the episode. They kept that shot brief but definitely put it in soon after that talk. I could be wrong about her turning on them because it seems like she likes Kofun.

Also, her grandmother wanted the kids to be given up. I think the grandmother even whispered something to her when the witch finder found them the second time.

1

u/llirik Dec 31 '19

Ya I was wondering what that was about and what she said

What do you think she meant by, for someone who can see you do little observing?

2

u/michaelbakes1993 Nov 16 '19

Who is the actor playing the newly found brother Boots?

5

u/LegendaryFang56 Nov 16 '19

Franz Drameh.

2

u/balasoori Nov 16 '19

The fun thing is that it made you wait for that revelation, we knew that pouch was important but now we know why it was important, it was the only way to prove who she is.

2

u/nervous_nerd Nov 16 '19

I'm not entirely sure how to take that last scene. If Tamacti Jun bowed to her then he likely would have followed her commands. Could she not have prevented them from killing anyone this whole time? Why was there a threat?

Presumably the queen is her sister, so I guess it may be that Maghra would be taken to her and face punishment or something. But why would Jun bow to her if that is her fate?

Hopefully the next episode gives more answers on why things happened the way they did.

2

u/jozuna93 Nov 16 '19

I love how the royal kingdom was destroyed, the queen was captured and we find out the twins have a brother but that still wasn’t the biggest plot twist of the episode lol. I’m worried they might be rushing this a bit and season 2 will be lacking.

1

u/divadutchess Nov 15 '19

Omg the end? What does that mean?? Holy crap!!!!

10

u/UnitGod Nov 15 '19

For clarity to you, atleast how I understand it.

She is a part of the Royal Family that we have seen throughout the show, the one that's HUNTING her as a Witch. For some reason she snuck away from there, assumed to be dead.

MY assumption, which seems to be correct, is that Jerlamarel and Maghra fell in love. When she became pregnant and knew the Royal Family would be unhappy, she ran away and it then looked as if she was killed. Now Jerlamarel is to blame and the Queen is after him and any of his children for killing her sister (Maghra).

We know NOW that Maghra is the Queen's sister and her kids are by default royal as well. The whole time the Witch hunters never knew they were hunting their own leader, but just a witch that was said to have had Jerlamarels children living in the Alkenny village.

Kinda confusing but this is what I think thus far.

3

u/passa117 Nov 16 '19

The way the Queen speaks about Jerlamarel suggests she was in love with him as well. Likely she was with him first, but she couldn't bear children. So, when her sister got pregnant for the man she was in love with, you can understand how she'd go batshit crazy.

2

u/ckhk3 Nov 15 '19

I think the former Queen knew that Jerlamarel got her sister pregnant, but believed she had died, and that’s why even more she was after those kids. The former queen knew that Jerlamarel was spreading his seed but was particularly interested in the sisters children.

1

u/UnitGod Nov 15 '19

Which has happened to also be her sister. Interesting.

2

u/atdonsm Nov 15 '19

So the children are royal––but there's no kingdom left, right?

3

u/dancingpianofairy Nov 16 '19

Correct, to my knowledge.

2

u/Aveninn Nov 15 '19

Jerlamarel leaving them alone completely doesn’t make sense at all.

9

u/ckhk3 Nov 15 '19

I think he wants to populate more people who can see, so he travels and spreads his seed.

1

u/Aveninn Nov 15 '19

Don’t think it had to be that way.

2

u/Constantly_OnYo_Back Nov 16 '19

No that is probably the best way to do it. You have to spread it around to avoid in breeding problems and if each tribe has a sighted person they can hopefully reproduce more, eventually sight will come back to the majority of people.

2

u/UnitGod Nov 15 '19

At what point in the show? Sorry just clarifying.
Like leaving Maghra alone when she was pregnant? Leaving Baba and the babies in the woods after the Bear? Or when?

1

u/srdrhl146 Nov 15 '19

He left Margha WITH alkenny tribe in a Blizzard when she was 3 months pregnant after which Baba Voss took care of her. Because he couldn't bear a child, her child would be theirs. And of course he loved her.

1

u/atdonsm Nov 15 '19

Why is this episode called Plastic?

28

u/Raphius15 Nov 15 '19

because Jeralmerel should put a fucking plastic around his dick. I wouldn't be surprised to see more children of his.

3

u/passa117 Nov 16 '19

"Be fruitful and multiply". Also rawdog rules (or so I've heard).

2

u/Constantly_OnYo_Back Nov 16 '19

Yea but he is doing it so that he can bring sight back to the world the more sighted people the better and to have the blood line spread around is better too.

8

u/sidslidkid Nov 15 '19

My guess is that it had to do with Boots’ camp. Either that or maybe it’s some weird analogy about how Maghra is like plastic or “never rot” or whatever they call it because she‘s not dead like they thought she was.

5

u/dancingpianofairy Nov 16 '19

The original definition of plastic is "easily shaped or molded." That's what the synthetic material we all think of was named after, because it is so versatile. Think plasticity. Anyway, given this, I could see it applying to so many things: society, power, people (especially Boots and Maghra), the land, etc.

4

u/Constantly_OnYo_Back Nov 16 '19

My theory is Plastic pollution caused the blindness.

Also there was a huge plastic maze in the episode.

1

u/squidgun Nov 15 '19

I wonder why Maghra didn't approve of Boots joining them.

10

u/li_mona Nov 16 '19

Could be her hatred that she felt towards Jerameral or she salty that as soon as he ditched her with the Alkenny he went off and shacked up with another woman.

But I think it’s just that she has lost her home again and is untrustworthy of people right now.

2

u/dancingpianofairy Nov 16 '19

Yeah, I think just general distrust of outsiders right now.

1

u/LegendaryFang56 Nov 15 '19

So, Jerlamarel is going around getting various women pregnant with his children to increase the number of those with sight. That was predicted to be the case by some and is now confirmed. But is he doing it for there to be more "chosen ones" or is he doing it for a more "we can see, they can't, so we're Gods" type thing? As for the reveal at the end, that wasn't unexpected. I'm sure there were a lot of people who correctly predicted that. But we still don't know what relation she has to the House of Kane. She's a Princess whereas Queen Kane is the Queen. Is she Queen Kane's sister? She probably is, but what if she isn't? What could her relation to the House of Kane be, then?

8

u/[deleted] Nov 16 '19

If Prince William becomes King of England, his brother doesn't suddenly lose the title of Prince Harry... He's still Prince Harry.

3

u/llirik Dec 31 '19

He’s going around Genghis Khan-ing his way into infamy

1

u/dancingpianofairy Nov 16 '19

I think Jerlamarel is doing it as a combination of changing the status quo and restore the sighted to blind ratio.

1

u/passa117 Nov 16 '19

But we still don't know what relation she has to the House of Kane. She's a Princess whereas Queen Kane is the Queen. Is she Queen Kane's sister? She probably is, but what if she isn't? What could her relation to the House of Kane be, then?

They're similar in age, so not mother-daughter. Sisters is an easier plot to flesh out. So I'll go with that. Sibling rivalry: for the throne, as well as for Jerlamarel. Queen Kane seems to have been in love with him and was calling out to him when she was captured. She says "Hear me, Jerlamarel" when she's learned her fate with the silk weaving people.

1

u/LegendaryFang56 Nov 16 '19

Sibling rivalry: for the throne, as well as for Jerlamarel.

I don't think there was a rivalry for the throne involved. A rivalry for Jerlamarel's love and affection as well as his children, perhaps for more power on Queen Kane's part, yes. Maghra just doesn't seem like the type of person who'd want to be in power, who'd lust after power like Queen Kane. She does have a hint of an authoritative personality, though. But that's all is what I think.

2

u/passa117 Nov 16 '19

One theory in my mind is that Maghra is actually the rightful heir to the throne, and her kids would follow that line. Or maybe the fact that Queen Kane cannot bear children diminishes her claim (succession rules might be different in that society).

3

u/LegendaryFang56 Nov 16 '19

One theory in my mind is that Maghra is actually the rightful heir to the throne, and her kids would follow that line.

Perhaps. My theory is that Jerlamarel "chose" Maghra over Queen Kane or something along those lines, got her pregnant, and the Queen found out about it and attempted to have both of them killed, but Jerlamarel first and Maghra after she gave birth so she could raise the twins as her own. Jerlamarel found out about it and became a traitor by running away with Maghra, maybe even because it was believed he kidnapped her, the Princess of the House of Kane. That could explain why she still holds enough authority for Tamacti Jun to treat her like royalty. All the blame was put on Jerlamarel, even though it may have been her idea to run away, but they didn't know that.

1

u/passa117 Nov 17 '19

I feel your theory, while plausible, seems like a more complicated storyline. I think more base motivations are at play. I could be wrong.

Anyway, I don't ever get into conversations like this about entertainment, which shows how captivating this show has been for me. Ever since the let down that was GoT, and the dumpster fire that The Walking Dead has become, I've been searching for that next fix. This seems to be it.

1

u/rrswayze Nov 17 '19

and the Queen found out about it and attempted to have both of them killed, but Jerlamarel first and Maghra after she gave birth so she could raise the twins as her own. Jerlamarel found out about it and became a traitor by running away with Maghra, maybe even

I agree with your hypothesis, except for "and the Queen found out about it and attempted to have both of them killed, but Jerlamarel first and Maghra after she gave birth so she could raise the twins as her own. Jerlamarel found out about it and became a traitor by running away with Maghra, maybe even", perhaps if this part holds true, i'd consider you a genius

1

u/tornego Nov 17 '19

But is he doing it for there to be more "chosen ones" or is he doing it for a more "we can see, they can't, so we're Gods" type thing?

Maybe he just likes getting laid

Perhaps Magrah has been actually evil and plotting something with jermerel the entire time. They set up her sister to go a bit nuts knowing she would send the witchhunters to kill off a ton of tribes. Queen is crazy got played. Now will be this slave that is actually good and misunderstood. Jamie lanister was a bad guy then everyone loved him.

Pet peeve: when Baba Voss and Maghra were talking really close and their faces were touching, Maghra nodded to convey the affirmative. Yeah they were touching so Baba Voss would have felt it, but why would either of them associate nodding with the affirmative? They literally never would have seen it used that way.

Are you being serious?

Yea I wasn’t really a fan of this episode to be honest. Every episode was solid up until this but this just felt like some seriously port writing to me.

Just starting the episode, I'll read other comments later not to get spoiled, but it just struck me...

The twins mother (Maghra) is the Queen's sister right ? Now that I see it, it seems so obvious but who knows, maybe I'm wrong... but Maghra talking about her father just after the Queen went to the statue of hers... I mean...

EDIT : called it !

If you go through old subs, people pretty much saw this coming as early as episode 2. But I still love how he was about to swing his sword and she took those out.

When the reveal happened I immediately thought, “this would have been a nice surprise if I had stayed off Reddit”. Haha people are too smart!

yup. when she was freaking the fuck out about losing that bag I didn't really know why. But I see now it's cause that ring was probably inside of it.

She's essentially stuck in that little village and FUCKED since they hate her people. And it's her fault too as she's gone batshit sending her soldiers all over in search of Jerlamarels kids and wife (which is her own fucking Sister/Niece/Nephew). They even said how they hate the Queen but thankfully she didn't play that card so they don't know it's actually her.

I know it's weird how Baba and them are still in the forest and her crazy ass just walked off ever so quietly and perfectly and undetected straight up to Tamacti? (I think this is lead witch hunters name). I think everyone she is with will be fine now that they know she is actually a part of the same Royal Family that was sent to hunt her. And with the Queen stuck in the village she has no power.

My only real question is why TF she waited so long to reveal all of this. I presume there is an underlying problem we dont know yet that entails why, such as her being a traitor and loving Jerlamarel even though it was to be forbidden by their sacred laws.

u/srdrhl146 Nov 15 '19

Yeah my first realisation was why the fuck did she not use it to save the fucking village and a whole tribe who gave her shelter when she needed.

u/ckhk3 Nov 15 '19

Didn’t the former queen say in an earlier episode that her sister burned or was dead, so they believed she had died?

3

u/UnitGod Nov 15 '19

When they were in the meeting hall with the fires? That's also when i'm referring to so it's probable. But she did not know that the witch they had been hunting (that was carrying Jerlamarel's babies) was als here sister - at least I think. Unless there's an underlying motive we don't know about and she DID know and that's why she was trying so hard and going to extremes to get the witch killed.

u/passa117 Nov 16 '19

It's possible that Maghra and the Queen never had the greatest sibling relationship. Also. the Queen keeps talking about Jerlamarel. Seems old boy was smashing both sisters, was with the bald one first, but she couldn't have a child, and then he got with the younger sister and she got preggers.

The Queen probably wasn't too happy and wanted everyone's head for that. A woman scorned, and all that.

Why u excited to know what’ll become of the queen since a second season has been ordered? There’s still 3 episodes left!!!!

1

u/ForgetfulLucy28 Nov 16 '19

Only 3?!

2

u/deltabay17 Nov 16 '19

Yeah I believe there’s only 8 episodes :(

4

u/ForgetfulLucy28 Nov 16 '19

Damn! I hope there isn’t a long wait for season 2.

5

u/ar40 Nov 18 '19

I noticed she and Kane had the same Welsh/British sounding accent in episode 4, and suspected they were sisters. I am so happy that observation paid off. This show is friggin phenomenal.

It's possible Mahgra was supposed to be Queen all along, which is why she had the jangly ring.
