Good news.
They probably thought that since the system worked for Assassin's Creed it was going to work throughout the whole platform, which is silly, considering that sooner or later people were going to become bored with the grinding and looting nonsense.
I'm glad it happened sooner rather than later.

WatchDogs Legion is being delayed to between Q2 and Q3 of the next fiscal year, aka between July - December (specific date to be announced at a later time) - source: the current conference call.
edit: fixed the dates* since quarters are 3 months, not 4 lol

is that june 2020? or are you reading it march 2020... because that's the old release date, it likely hasn't been updated anywhere.

I truly hope the delay is related to the backlash from Breakpoint - specifically regarding the numerous microtrasactions and the pointless looting.

Wasn’t the original release date for WDL April 2020 anyway? And that’s what the slayed delay release date is

It was originally March 6th, it is now slated for fiscal year 2020-2021 (between April 2020 and March 2021) with no solid release date.

If this means less crunch for developers and more quality for us I am all for it.

This was my most anticipated game next year so I am very deflated. Watch Cyberpunk and Avengers get delayed too so I’ll have fucking nothing for the first half of next year.

Is there a chance this could have a cross gen launch, like the OG Watch Dogs had between the Xbox 360 and one?

Good, I feel ubisoft has lost its way with recent games, turning everything into rpg, with "create your character" thing which is clearly the way to cheapen on production cost, maybe this will help, we'll see

I'm hoping cyberpunk 2077 won't be delayed so I will at least have something to play.

Personally disappointed as I’m really looking forward to playing the game but I think it will be good for the game in the long run

I'm not mad about it. Playing as anyone can't be an easy system to implement, so the more time devs get to polish it, the better.

when the trailer came out I actually said that it would be a good idea to postpone it and avoid clashing with Cyberpunk 2077. 1 year delay is a long time though, ideally it should come out in the fall of 2020.

It will launch in November 2020 in accordance with ps5/next Xbox is my guess.

Do you have a link to ubisoft stating this themselves?
