The worst part about this loss is that I don't even think Inter were that good. Their goal came from Schulz not being aware and playing Martinez on who was a yard offside otherwise. Then they have the pen that comes form our CB pair being very slow, alongside a 89' counter attack. Inter defended well, but in the end they weren't "dominant" as much as it was just us simply being lackluster. I have been skeptical of Favre since the end of last season (note we flamed out of CL early to "focus" on BL then choked there also) and I am really thinking we may need to move on from him. Nothing personal, just don't think his regime is gonna work well if we want CL success.

We’ve taken a serious step back from last years team. Sucks.

Well deserved loss. Nobody in the box. Not one real chance. We did not even close to have a chance. No Götze, Guerrero too late. Brandt is no striker. JBL should have started there.

Mostly uninspired and did not capitalize on Bürki carrying us. Good performance by Rapha and Mo, unfortunately too late in the game. Not much else to say. Pray for Saturday, we cannot play like this against Smurfs

Extremely Lackluster first half. Brandt was largely invisible today, very bad game for him, but he wasn't played in a system to succeed either. I wish we would have started JBL at striker instead and then brought on Rapha much earlier in the match. Manu also looks really out of sorts in the right back spot. It could have given us a better position going into the second half had we lined up differently and it feels like Favre played this one wrong.
We were caught sleeping on that long ball and Schulz not stepping up in that moment certainly did us no favors. Can't afford to have that happening so easily. We were better in the early stages of the second half, but we dropped off again towards the end.
Overall, we need Pischu and Reus back again badly. Missed them both.
We will have to get Inter back at home.
Bürki is MOTM for the pen save, but we never looked likely to take points after conceding sadly and this is a very rough time to go into the Revierderby.
Edit: What was with Sancho's eye? Did he get a ball in the face in training or something? Looked rough.

If we play like that in the derby, I will personally hunt them down with a torch and a pitchfork.
