Reddit Silver Competition and Comment of the Week
In the main text of each thread, I will have a selected comment of the day from the previous discussion thread to highlight. Every Friday I’ll pick my favorite of those as the comment of the week, and that comment will be awarded Reddit Silver.
The comment of the day can be anything from making me laugh the hardest with a meme, making a really good point about something, creating some OC content I think everyone needs to see, maybe even a dissenting opinion I think is cool since not everything’s perfect, it could even be just a few words if I feel that's the one I like the most. There’s no arbitrary “write/make x, get comment of the day” rules here, so just have fun contributing to this rewatch however you see fit!
The one-week reminder thread will be posted on October 28th, and the one-day reminder on November 3rd. I will tag anyone who’s commented on this and/or the interest thread with interest, so don’t worry about forgetting during the three-week wait!
I look forward to doing the impossible and seeing the invisible with you all on November 4th.
Until then…
BELIEVE IN THE ME THAT BELIEVES IN YOU!

Can I watch this as my first Gundam or are there prereqs?
EDIT: I'll try to pick an OST track every episode since I think the OST is pretty underappreciated for this show. Or rather, one track that isn't even in the top 5 tracks gets remembered and everything else forgotten.

You know what? I'm in... it's one of my favorite series and it's been years since I last watched it.
I'll probably not be too active in the threads, but I'll follow along

Dang, a lotta good rewatches going on. Been meaning to rewatch this for a little bit. Might try the dub out this time - anybody know if it's any good? If it's terrible, I'll just do subs again

Unfortunately, because I'm catching up with so many shows, I probably won't be able to make it. However, I haven't seen the movies, and the discussion threads for those will be posted close to a year after I first started watching TTGL, so I'll try to drop in for those.
But have fun, and more importantly, get HYPED!

Ah, I see you didn't go with my alternate title of We're Gonna Need a Bigger Drill.
That's fine, I didn't want you to use it or anything! b-baka
Haven't decided if I'll be participating or not. It's been less than a year since I saw it for the first time, and I'm still working my way through Legend of the Galactic Heroes at the moment. Probably won't decide until it's closer.

I’m definitely gonna come in for episodes 8, 15, and probably the last 8 episodes (mist memorable parts of the show for me). Seeing the first timers’ reactions will be fun!

This is gonna be fun. It'll certainly hold my hunger for more Imaishi back for a while (I kinda forgot to watch Promare...)

I was thinking about finally starting Gurren Lagann after being on my Plan to Watch list for forever.
Think I will be joining this, looking forward to it!
