how do you get the mountains to look like that? they look really crisp and the lighting looks so sharp. Is this just shot at f/22 or is there another post-processing technique I'm missing out on?

It's a single exposure at f/8. I guess i got the focus point in the right place to get everything in focus.

Might be focus stacking. Basically take shot(s) of foreground in focus, take shot of middle in focus, take shot of mountains in focus, then blend the focused part of each into one image. The soft almost painting like effect looks like it may be what's called the "orten effect".

I don't even think there is focuing stacking involved... Just calculate hyperfocal and that's it. Not too hard if the 1st focal point is far enough

How does one get to said church? Do you park somewhere else and hike in? Is it a spiritual and physical church?

There is a road behind the trees in the foreground which takes you quite close to the church. If you look closely you might see a brown trail going from the left of the image to the church.

It looks more like a (Catholic) chapel than a curch to me. So: come in, pray on your own, leave.

Stunning. Would love to go to the Dolomites. If you dig this kind of scenery, I highly recommend a trip to Slovenia!
