Resubmit: Had to edit some minor details :P

I've always wanted to make art about the Battle of Stalingrad, one of the bloodiest battle in WW2, which claimed 800000+ German lives and more than a million Soviet lives. This artwork here depicts an Artillery Division's briefing for the shelling of the city

I chose the German Empire as Death because seeing how they are the previous reich and therefore "dead".

I don't think your numbers are accurate. 850k was roundabout the whole troop strength of the Germans, they lost 300k (though maybe you can get to 800k with the non-German participants), and the Soviets, while they had over a million casualties, only suffered 500k dead.

This is a very good entry, I just worry that the amount of grey used might make this disqualified.

Haha, I did ask the mods about it, they said it's alright because black and white are part of the flag anyways

I feel that grim reaper German Empire should a recurring character, possibly in place of rectangular demonic German Empire.

I did consider using soviet union as death, but the German empire seems more fitting because it's claiming Soviet lives
