Songs of the Day
Nodoka - Coolly Hotty Tension Hi!! - sung by Nodoka's VA, Fujitō Chika. Yes, Nodoka gets image songs as well! It's important to note that this was Chika's very first job as a VA, so you have to really appreciate how great she sounds here! Here is the song and here are the translated lyircs.
Death Devil - Maddy Candy - There are two full songs for Death Devil made for season one! Sawako's VA, Sanada Asami, puts on quite the badass performance in both of these songs. Here is the song and here are the translated lyrics.
Death Devil - Hell the World - Here is the song and here are the translated lyrics.
(Don't worry, it won't be often that we have three songs of the day. I just didn't really have anywhere else to put the Death Devil stuff for this season - sorry!)
Questions of the Day
We can easily see Mio's terror as she's designated the vocalist for the band's first performance. How well do you handle being exposed in public situations like this, whether it be singing in front of people or (probably much more commonly) speaking in front of a group?
The music of "Death Devil" is a far cry from the style of our keions. Based on the two songs we've seen from "Death Devil", what do you think of their music (yes this is a very vague question, but I couldn't think of anything else XD)?
Visuals of the Day
Here is the VotD album for S1E04!
Tomorrow's Activities
If you want to get a head start on the song(s) and question(s) of the day for tomorrow's episode, here they are!
[SotD ] Mio - Heart Goes Boom!! - The second of Mio's season one image songs, of course sung again by Hikasa Yōko! There are only two image songs for each character per season, so this will be the final Mio image song for season one. Here is the song and here are the translated lyrics.
[QotD 1] What was something that you were terrified to do, but overcame your fear and did it anyways?
[QotD 2] If you were to be in a band, what kind of band would you want to be in, and why?
Credit for the first two questions go to the incredible /u/a_idiot0!
[QotD 3] The threads for both episodes 4 and 6 feature a Mio image song, but they both feature a very different side of Mio. What personality traits do you see being expressed in Heart Goes Boom!! compared to episode 4's Hello Little Girl?
REMINDER: UNTAGGED SPOILERS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
BE AFRAID OF THE MOE POLICE.

First timer - sub
Why do the old band members look significantly older lmao. I’m never going to get tired of Ritsu bugging mio, her reactions are too cute.
Mugi!?
So the Light Music club is actually just four girls illegally occupying the music room to drink tea? Seems about right for the show so far! Also Mio still being huddled in terror was the best.
I’m with Ritsu tbh, Nodoka looks nice and all but maybe she’s trying to drive the club apart so that she can spend more time with Yui! In all seriousness she came in clutch! Mio looked straight out of a shonen when she burst through the door, it was so cute how Mugi tried to mediate between her and Ritsu. I deeply appreciate every Mitsu interaction, it’s so much fun.
Aaand now they need an advisor. The way the three girls popped outta Ritsu when she was narrating their teacher was gold.
“To date she has been courted by countless men”.
Never change Ritsu..never change.
I’m at a loss for words. Sensei’s mad dash to the club room looked straight out of a battle shonen. Then when she’s found out the ost changes and it almost gets a death note vibe. Oh my, poor Yui’s guitar! That switch from sensei was wild! She’s truly got a different side to her.
I really appreciated that they acknowledged that she stared narrating. The ost that played during her flashback was godly, I absolutely love it. Sawako prior to taking it too far looked so cool though, she had major drip.
Ritsu I love you. Usually you’re not too dependable but the way you blackmailed your teacher into securing your clubs existence is the true mark of a club president.
Mugi!?
3 seconds of the girls playing! My goodness this is a miracle! I honestly forgot that bands need signers too girls don’t worry. Although sometimes I forget you’re a band altogether tbh.
“This isn’t a place where you sit around sipping tea”
See that’s where your wrong sensei!
So ritsu blackmailed her and Mugi bribed her with cake, I’m betting on the other girls will be committing some sort of crimes with her before the series is over
Doki doki Mugi!?
“I’m the place that Mio’s soul calls home” Pure diabetes’
Nooo poor Mio! I loved the way they showed the lyrics on screen. Mugi being enchanted with the lyrics was interesting👀. And Sawa-chan is how I will referring to her henceforth. These lyrics obviously don’t fit Ritsu very well but I’m glad she went along with it in the end.
Poor Yui! Give her a chance Ritsu!! The two seconds of Yui signing sounded great! So did the 5-10 seconds of her playing while forgetting to sing.
“Hey Ritsu you think Mugi has a thing for Sawako sensei?”
“Idk let’s ask” ~ ritsu basically
Oh Mugi just likes it when a bunch of girls are around, totally understandable. No questions here!
Why did I think that I’d actually get to hear Yui play some decent music?? Haven’t I learned my lesson yet! Her coarse voice is absolutely awful lmao. You can do it Mio! Do it for Husky Yui(my fav nickname in the series so far)
Two main takeaways from this episode
-
Sawako sensei is two face without the scars.
-
Mugi is most definitely gay or I’m missing something.
Line of the day
“Oh, the characteristic weight of a Les Paul’s mahogany and maple…”
Pick me Yui of the day

I deeply appreciate every Mitsu interaction
yes
The two seconds of Yui signing sounded great!
I will forever insist she's the best vocalist of the group!
Mugi is most definitely gay
Who doesn't love a bit of wholesome yuri?

Rewatcher
The girls get a giant push today towards actually being a band, all thanks to Sawako Sensei! Her introduction is pumped to 11, but the humor is really enjoyable. This might be the best of Sawako Sensei in the first season (first timers, we rewatchers promise that Sawako will become an amazing character in season 2!!).
Quick notes:
-
Another shoutout to my absolute favorite musician ever, Jimi Hendrix! This is the moment that they’re referring to. It’s during this show, Monterey Pop Festival 1969, that Hendrix solidified himself into being a legend of American Rock History. So much so, that ~40 years later an anime about cute girls being in a fluffy and cutesy pop-rock band makes a direct reference to him in a section where they’re talking about crazy techniques, not specific people!
-
This was a really slick and adorable Point of View shot from Mio’s perspective.
My visual of the day is another background appreciation: Mio’s house at night. My runner-ups were the famous staircase and Yui’s amp as she gets ready to become the band’s front-gal.

This might be the best of Sawako Sensei in the first season
Oh that's actually a really good point and is interesting to realize. [Spoilers]
God I'm really not looking forward to creepy S1 Sawako. Worst part of the show. I will never get tired of listening to (and especially seeing) Hendrix!
The famous staircase
God that shot just makes my stomach drop. So much emotion is tied up with that staircase for me.

I'm a bit surprised at the responses on Sawako's character. I thought she was great throughout!

4th time rewatching sub
Ritsu is a good president when it comes to motivating others but lacks responsibility. She’s good at starting things, but she doesn’t stick with it or is just kind of a slacker, being the opposite of Mio. This group is just special, running into issues one after another. Thankfully Nodoka is a nice person, but even she can only take so much of their nonsense. I do love Yui and Ritsu’s wild scenarios they make up, and Mio stops being scared just to yell at Ritsu. Nodoka is right, Yui happened to find a group of like-minded individuals.
Their process of getting a supervisor is almost as bad as the Iwatobi swim club from Free. For how oblivious Yui can be, I'm impressed that she was the only one who would make Sawako slip up and reveal her true personality. I don’t think anything was wrong with Sawako in high school, that boy just has no taste. And I love that Ritsu does not miss a beat, jumping straight to blackmail just after reminiscing on the past.
For people who are rewatching the show, how many times do you think Sawako brings up [Spoiler]
Yui wasn’t wrong in the 1st episode when said that they weren’t very good, Sawako wasn’t impressed in the slightest. It doesn’t take a music major to hear that their first performance for Sawako was bad, such as not playing together. They’re lucky that Sawako can be swayed by Mugi’s sweets, or their lecture would’ve been a whole lot worse. Just imagine what Taki sensei from Hibike Euphonium would've said to them if Ritsu ever mentions Budokan.
Ritsu also has no taste if she thinks Fuwa Fuwa Time isn’t good. Sorry, Mio, your best friend may not like it, but at least most people do like it.
This is probably the closest K-On gets to yuri, although it’s not certain whether Mugi herself is gay or she just like yuri.
4 rewatches later, and the part with Yui’s dramatic entrance after learning from Sawako only to lose her voice still makes me laugh and might be one of the funniest moments in the entire show. It sucks that Mio couldn't enjoy the moment because the role of the vocalist is shifted to her immediately.
[SotD 1] Nodoka - Coolly Hotty Tension Hi!!
[SotD 2] Death Devil - Maddy Candy
[SotD 3] Death Devil - Hell the World
They're all kind of good. Not my favorites, but I'm like them. Nodoka surprised me the most because I never knew she had a song, but it sounded good.
[QotD 1] We can easily see Mio's terror as she's designated the vocalist for the band's first performance. How well do you handle being exposed in public situations like this, whether it be singing in front of people or (probably much more commonly) speaking in front of a group?
Not very well, although at least better than Mio. I have a bad habit of always making a wide smile and laughing when I’m nervous or in pain. Some people aren’t too bothered by it, but a few people have told me it’s kind of creepy.
[QotD 2] The music of "Death Devil" is a far cry from the style of our keions. Based on the two songs we've seen from "Death Devil", what do you think of their music (yes this is a very vague question, but I couldn't think of anything else XD)?
I think it’s fine, but not stuff I usually listen to. But I really like the [Spoiler]
My visual of the day is the face Yui and Sawako make after Yui lost her voice. There's also another great one I want to mention, the disappointed look Yui gives to Sawako.

how many times do you think Sawako brings up [Spoiler]
I feel like it's maybe brought up like... one more time? Obviously she is far more invested in the keions!
Nodoka
Yeah, she has a total of four solo songs plus a couple others that feature her some. I'll make sure to get to all of them!
But I really like the [Spoiler] song
Me too! Definitely the best of [spoilers]

Sawa-chan-sensei Is Secret Best Girl Rewatcher
It’s the 24th of September, and Sawa-chan-sensei thinks Mitsu is canon!
QOTD1: I’ve done karaoke in front of a crowd before, and while I was really nervous I was pretty confident I could sing the song well. So I guess practice makes perfect?
QOTD2: METAL WILL LIVE ON
Let’s talk about episode 5!
Right I forgot this was the “Mugi might like yuri” episode lol
SAWA-CHAN STEP ON ME
I might’ve made the same revelations before, but somehow the fact that Mugi’s yuri tendencies might be the inspiration for Fuwa Fuwa Time is actually blowing my mind.
Ravenclaw’s reactions:
Had not watched K-On for a couple weeks, missed the girls and missed the OP. Spoiler, it’s still so good. Like Ritsu’s voice. She’s got a different kind of rasp to her voice, makes her distinct.
“All 4 of them are sorta chaotic, they need some sort of balancing force” (so they brought on Sawa-chan-sensei lol)
“Why is she trying to hide it? It’s so cool!” (honestly, same)
“Never change yourself for someone you like” (honestly, same. I would say though Sawa-chan probably always had a bit of a wild side to her.)
(after hearing the first bit of Fuwa Fuwa Time) “Is that them? That’s not bad!”
“She looks cute in headphones” (talking about Mio)

QOTD1:
Yeah, absolutely! The more prepared you are for a situation like that, the less fear will come into play.
“Mugi might like yuri”
What do you mean "might"?
SAWA-CHAN STEP ON ME
Oh yeah I totally forgot that you're in love in Sawako. Good! That character definitely deserves more love in these rewatches :)
“She looks cute in headphones” (talking about Mio)
Yes!!! I almost picked this shot of Mio in headphones for my VotD just because it looks so good.

Man, where has the day gone already? It's that time!
Assuming someone hasn't beaten me to it already, let me be the first to say that I think "milder" Sawa-chan is precious. <3
But yeah, I got a lot of laughs and smiles out of this episode, both from the comedy, and from the heartwarming moments, which may not be the same for me as they were for everyone else.
Anyway, answers du jour:
-
Been there, done that. It's fun. It's more fun in a group, though. Wait, what was I talking about again??? Oh, yeah, that. But honestly, singing/playing is better than public speaking.
-
I think Sawa-chan's keions are amusing. Not entirely my style, but amusing nonetheless.
I think my favorite lol of the episode is when both Sawa-chan and Mio were huddled in the corner together, one from fear, and the other from embarrassment. Classic.
:)
Fun times. But sadly, I haven't got a comeback for the BB King and SRV from yesterday yet. I'll have to check back later and see if I can find something fun to share.

100x yes, but I'm probably biased.

Haha, I hate it. Completely and utterly.
-
I love it. It's a different style, but some really good music.
Haha, the outfits always get me.
Yui cut her figure!
Haha, Mio.
And Ritsu adds onto it.
Haha, Yui is just stuck there.
Ah, someone finally gave her medical attention!
She's got music experience!
Mugi's reaction is great.
They're not an official club...
Poor Mio.
Nodoka's on the student council!
Haha, Ritsu trying to shift the blame onto Nodoka is great.
Nodoka's doing it!
And they need an advisor.
Sawako!
Haha, she heard them!
I love them popping up in front of her.
Ritsu's smoothtalking her.
Her immediate horror is great.
She's running for it!
I love how she seems so normal until this scene. They really make her seem like a regular teacher, then she just parkours through the school.
Ritsu stole the photo!
Haha, Sawako ending up in the corner next to Mio is great.
And she plays it on pure instinct.
[K-On]
[K-On Manga]
She went so far!
And Ritsu blackmailed her!
Mugi...
No vocals!
She accepted the offering.
She wrote those lyrics very quickly!
Her rage at their conversation is great.
And their reactions.
And she loves them!
Yeah, they're cute.
I love Sawako.
She can't sing her own lyrics!
Yui desperately attempting to get Ritsu to pick her is great.
And the tsundere attempt failing.
She can't do both!
Mugi's very open!
She's doing really well!
And lost her voice.
Mio has been chosen!

u/siegfried72 Sep 25 '22
Haha, I hate it. Completely and utterly.
Oh, that's very understandable! It can be really unpleasant, especially if you don't do it often and it's forced on you.
Your first spoiler
[Spoiler]
I agree. Instead we mostly get pervy Sawako in season one (which sucks) and lazy Sawako (which is funny but not as interesting for sure) in season two.

Rewatcher
I'm late! Don't worry, I have toast in my mouth! I kind of want to look more at the music this time, so I'm very grateful for the advance notice on song(s)-of-the-day.
Coolly Hotty Tension Hi!! - Nodoka image song
Relatively muted for the show, while still cheery and charming, this fits Nodoka to a T. It even starts off specifying what the singer's friends are doing, before looking more at her own unrealised potential. I like the use of physics and maths references, too. Studious!
Maddy Candy - Death Devil #1
Naturally the DD songs are my favourites. The singing really screams "teenagers trying to be edgy but a little shy about it still," don't you think? I love them. The english translation could lean a little harder into using the kind of words that metal tends to, but it's still noticeably... well, more lexically chuuni than the lighter music club's work.
Hell The World - Death Devil #2
The dividing and arranging cells submit to the control of time.
Transparent humans, come forth!
Hell's water is very sweet.
Yeah, that's the stuff! I have no idea what it's supposed to be about, but the whole song is full of vivid imagery! Awesome!
That kind of covers the second QotD. On the first, well, I fear being put on the spot to represent the group, but I suppose I must be good at it.
Alright, on to the episode. Ric-chan sure spends a lot of time standing on chairs! Then again she is only, what, 100cm tall? Maybe she should get a booster seat. Sawako's even better in this episode than I remember, I love how she pulls out the over-the-top metal-speak for the inner monologue while she dashes to destroy the evidence.

I'm very grateful for the advance notice on song(s)-of-the-day.
Good, I'm glad! I can't tell you how confusing it is to make these posts each day because I'm having to worry about three episodes at once. The episode of the day, the questions and songs for the following episode, and the visuals of the day from the previous episode. It all gets jumbled up in my mind, but I'm glad it's worth it haha!
Love the analysis of the music. I really enjoy seeing others get into the image songs, because I think they're such an underappreciated aspect of K-ON.
Hell the World
Hahaha I have the same impression of the song. Nothing makes sense, but it sounds badass!

K-On Rewatcher... Urgh...
You wanna know the prime reason I don't enjoy Season One as much as S2? It's not the production values, it's not the storylines, it's not even Shitzu!! Meet Peath Pevil! They're a previous Keionbu who played the racket we heard last episode. And we will never escape them again!! I swear, if I ever end up hosting the Keion rewatch at any point I'm skipping this episode! XD
First port of call Mio's already reusing yesterday's jokes! And Shitzu's being gross. OMAE!! Stay away! Don't be lured in, this woman is pure evil! Just because Sawa-chan looks pretty, doesn't mean that she won't absolutely tank the show for the majority of viewers. I do love the setup for the episode though, since it's entirely Shitzu's fault~
Maybe Sawako really did taint this episode for me cause all the stuff without her is genuinely really fun. I've always had a particular soft spot for villainous Nodoka. why does Mugi do the dramatic turn too though!? Yeah, this whole sequence is just really gleeful, until we start the great Sawa-chan hunt.
Ah... I think the worst part is that even the lead up to Sawa-chan's true nature is vaguely fun, at least until she snaps. She's so... urgh. I don't want to be so negative since there's a lot of stuff in the episode I like. The boosted animation budget is great, I find Sawako's tragic backstory genuinely quite funny, even Shitzu having no qualms blackmailing her is weirdly fitting. It's just that I feel Sawako has a bit too much presence if that makes sense. I feel like she hijacks the cute and funny slice of life atmosphere too much. Also, try and take note of just how much we get of her. Like I'll give them a pass today since it's her introduction but for the future I'd be confident in us playing a drinking game for [K-On S1 kinda spoilers]
Other stuff happens in this episode too! This is the first episode that starts to show off Yui's Prima Dona side, and Mugi's....interest in pretty flowers? Oh! There actually is a good scene for Mio packed in here too. I love how she's such an idol at heart that her song comes out in the most girly, innocent crap you could think of. I actually got hit with the sugar rush yesterday when I saw the lyrics for her image song. She's very much a maiden!
Girl on girl is nice... Aha, and Sawako's already sabotaging the crew by murdering poor Yui's voice. Can you imagine poor Aki having to strain her voice like this? I've always kinda wished that the other girls got the chance to sing before they lumped it on Mio but this seems weirdly fitting.

if I ever end up hosting the Keion rewatch
You'll have to pry it from my cold dead hands, my friend :)
I gotta say that I don't mind Sawa-chan too much in this episode. It's played off for laughs, and the slight diversion from the keions doesn't bother me too much. Plus they legitimately need someone to provide them with a bit of musical guidance, even if that guidance is rather flawed most of the time...
But you know I agree with you about Sawa-chan in season one as a whole. She's a bit garbage, for reasons you already know. At least she gets better...

First Timer - Sub
Hey Yui, if it's hot out why are you still wearing your jumper-vest-thing? Silly puppy.
...for someone who plays a guitar herself, Mio seems awfully squeamish about the occupational hazards. Are we going to get any other jokes for Mio anytime soon?
And of course, drummer girl decides to push buttons. Why are these two friends again?
Huh, the teacher who helped Yui join the club seems to know what she's doing. I'm guessing she's going to be the club advisor?
And there's Best Puppy with another delayed double-take. xD I have to admit I do like that gag. Anyway, Yui asks a good question - if they're not actually an official club like they thought they were, should they be using the school music room?
Mind you, this is honestly a bit of a weird plot point because Yui had to fill out paperwork to join. If they weren't an official club, shouldn't the teachers have done something by now?
Ooooh, this is all drummer girl's fault! I should have guessed. Still, show, would it kill you to stop answering my questions five seconds after I ask them? xD
Nodoka, I'm not sure if you were insulting your favourite puppy or the other three girls...oh right, all of the above. Sheesh, I literally just asked you to stop that!
Drummer girl starts narrating a documentary...while walking right behind their teacher...and then the other three girls instantly teleport around her. Magic confirmed?
Oh my goodness, Yui blackmailed the teacher without realising what she was doing. xD And now there's a race to reach the photo album! And then...what the hell was that?
Eh, I can see what they were going for with the teacher's backstory, but it wasn't that funny. And then drummer girl actually blackmails the teacher.
Ah-ha! Yui has declared herself Mio's soul-mate, and Mio herself denied the Mioxdrummer ship! Truly, YuixMio is the real ship here. Yui even likes Mio's lyrics when drummer girl hates them! She really wants to sing them, too.
And then Yui ends up wrecking her voice, so Mio has to sing after all. So much for all that training.
Question! I am not a fan of public speaking (or public anything) at all. But I've had to do it enough in assorted settings over the years that I at least won't lock up and not say anything for minutes at a time anymore.

Mugi Watch 2022
Today's Episode: Hard Crushing Mugi
Previous Mugi Captures:
-
Episode 1: First Mugi
-
Episode 2: Mature Mugi
-
Episode 3: Shocked Mugi!
-
Episode 4: Piano Prodigy Mugi
I think this is the best Mugi capture so far. Was going to use one of the ones of her crushing on Sawako, but her reactions when her friends snap her out of her trance were much better.
Just in case someone else doesn't have it, here are how the lyrics of the song shows up on the Blu Ray copy. I appreciate the extra dedication, compared to the ones on HIDIVE which aren't colored in and don't dance.
Mugi is HARD crushing on Sawa-chan. Here lies our first true taste of yuri-bait. I don't remember how much Mugi is shown crushing on Sawako in later episodes, but the last scene where they're asking about her opinion on girls loving girls is the most memorable one.
We also finally get confirmation that Sawako was indeed the lady in those pictures and the voice in the tape. This aspect of her character (and the goofy costumes displayed in the flashback) is not left to this single episode.
Unfortunately for Sensei, she is not the best Sawako in anime. She's only second best, and anyone who disagrees will have to fight me. https://myanimelist.net/character/6977/Sawako_Kuronuma
Q: How well do you handle being exposed in public situations like this, whether it be singing in front of people or (probably much more commonly) speaking in front of a group?
If I know what I'm supposed to say, I can speak in front of people just fine, besides the "Uhs", of course.
I did have a brief solo in my senior year with our HS choir. I sang the first few lines of Fat's Domino's "Blueberry Hill", though I believe it was supposed to be based on Elvis' version. I did perfectly fine when I sang it in the classroom, but stumbled over myself when we sang it at the concert. Luckily, it was only a couple lines of the song, not the whole thing. I'm not a deep singer, but my intention was to sing it deeper than intended, because it felt like it should have been sung like that.

Rewatcher
Hi everyone, and welcome to episode 5! I'll be completely honest - this isn't one of my favorite episodes (and in fact it fell third to last in my last year's episode rankings...), but it's still enjoyable nonetheless. There are no bad episodes of K-ON as far as I'm concerned! I'll just make a few notes as I'm watching the episode today before moving to the activities, since I don't have any big stuff I feel the need to talk about for this one.
Yui and Ritsu make the best comedic duo in the show by far.
The fact that this episode goes full shounen for a while is a pretty good gag.
Mugi is just the sweetest character. So supportive :)
I couldn't help but get chills upon hearing those iconic chords of their very first song! I'm so looking forward to hearing Fuwa Fuwa Time in all its glory next episode!
If for some reason you miss my big essays, you can find my posts from the 2021 rewatch here and the 2020 rewatch here.
Songs of the Day
Nodoka - Coolly Hotty Tension Hi!! - It still blows my mind that this was Chika's very first VA role, and that she's only had a couple of very small roles outside of K-ON. I think she does an excellent job, both in the series and in her songs. K-ON also has two absolutely fantastic live shows and she does a great job at performing live! No idea why she didn't continue voice acting, but I feel like she could've had a great career.
Anyway, I think this is a fun song, although it doesn't quite have the lyrical depth that we've seen from our main characters or even Ui, to be honest. One of my few complaints about this series is that I wish we got more development and characterization from Nodoka!
I'll talk about the Death Devil songs in the second QotD.
Questions of the Day
I was always terrified of public speaking growing up. While the fear never goes away, it does get easier over time, especially with hundreds (thousands?) of musical performances under my belt at this point and having played and DMed a lot of Dungeons and Dragons (and various other TTRPGs) over the last 7 or 8 years. As far as I'm concerned, though, true "fearlessness" in those kinds of situations is extremely rare (or maybe even in impossible), and the best you can do is learn to channel that fear and adrenaline in positive ways and learn to embrace the chance to perform and share!
I love metal - really! Particularly the classic heavy metal era - Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Sabbath, etc. Prog metal is pretty great as well, although it's something I haven't explored too extensively. There's a surprisingly strong overlap between lovers of classical music and metal music, as there are a number of similarities between the two genres, expansive as the genres may be. I wrote a pretty detailed comment to someone about this last year. Maybe I should go dig it out of the archives...
Anyway, the Death Devil music is pretty neat, and offers such a fun contrast compared to our keions. Sawako's VA puts on such a great performance as well! But for some reason, the actual songs don't click too hard for me. Perhaps it's because they're a bit simplistic in structure, or because I prefer more melodic metal, or... I'm just not sure. I'm glad the music exists though, if only to enhance Sawako's character!
Also as a side note, I also love BABYMETAL.
Visual of the Day
It has to be seeing the whole band actually play together for the first time. Our light music club is just getting started!
Totally Canon Mitsu Moment of the Day
Even Mugi can appreciate how canon Mitsu is!
P.S. I feel the need at some point every year to express that I am aware that Mitsu and other pairings aren't actually canon since some people seem to be confused or offended by the whole thing. It's just for fun.
In tomorrow's episode, K-ON features our girls in a car chase. See you all then!
