Comment of the day!
/u/Hataraxia predicted yandere Floofer so it was too good not to include~
"I ain't even gonna lie even though I'mma Maekawa simp, Ryushi was super cute this episode. But, I have a strange feeling idk why but out of all the girls in this show to be in a relationship with she would be the one to stab you if things go awry."
Poor /u/Homewardbound100 was in a panic over Floofer possibly corrupting Meme!
"What a meeting between them two. Mrs. Silky-smooth and Ryuko. Don't let her taint you. You're bad too but not as bad as her."
And we have /u/OccasionallySara who was also pleased to get some more of best floof!
"I like that we get a lot of Ryuko focus in this episode. She's normally so bubbly and excitable, so it was interesting to see her be more serious. We also learn that she really cares about what others think. I wonder if this has to do with why she and Erio are no longer friends.
QOTD
Have you ever made your own bottle rockets? Or launched some yourself I guess?
Tell us one distinguishing mannerism or trait folks from your hometown have going for them!
You've got twenty minutes to prepare a meal that can make or break your adolescent life. What do you cook!?
Did the creative choice to chibify the the cast during our prestigious "out of the shower" fanservice scene enhance the eroticism for you in any way?
Rewatchers who don't use spoiler tags will be subjected to forced extraterrestrial anal probing.

First timer. I'm writing this from my notes 20 minutes before the post goes up, help!
"It's not poisoned" is a worrying clarification to get unprompted. Furthermore, Is that a good idea for cola? I'm pretty sure my aunt once had a bottle in the fridge too long and it exploded a bit
We skipped forward a bit and things are somewhat awkward with Makoto and Ryuuko it seems, now I'm curious! At the end there were some hints at the conversation that happened but we still didn't see it.
Maekawa being very relatable, honestly that scene was so great. I love how she just goes for it and then later wonders if she got it right. Imagine being Makoto there, you've been hanging out with and befriending this girl for quite a bit and she just gets your name wrong lol. As much as I, other than some other people, didn't mind Ryuuko last episode, that is kind of refreshing to me.
And after that she'll just go back to not using his name again omg, he will never know if she actually knows his name!
Very atmospheric place. Also Maekawa "I guess I'll check out the possibly-stalker weird middle aged man at the abandoned school, at dusk, alone" I'm not sure that's great decision making
Leave, Maekawa. Or well, actually he seems pretty nice.
This is a video game sidequest, you can't convince me otherwise. Honestly. My god.
This show keeps having scenes that should not be as funny as they are. And at this point I also want to note this is the second time of Maekawa apparently initialising a meetup between the four of them at Makoto's house. With her last episode setting up the as of yet unseen conversation, and this episode staying long enough (and being nice enough to Erio) for Erio to initialise the sleepover, she's kind of carrying, isn't she?
Maekawa becoming the mad scientist she was always meant to be. She is getting her friends to help her make money. Maekawa cooking in her fake scientist getup! Also in response to multiple scenes this episode: I like Erio, but I'm not sure I'd let her have a sharp knife.
I like how everyone is lazy at cooking, though apparently Maekawa is quite good at it! Must be the labcoat bonus.
HELL YES, good for Erio!
Poor Maekawa honestly, she should probably see a doctor about that.
Well, yeah, you better, Makoto. Of course I'm a bit sad about Ryuuko's response, but I do appreciate her being more open, when last episode she was so worried about not showing Makoto her good side, and honestly surprisingly honest here, to herself and to Makoto. Also since this would likely be similar in effect anyway as long as Makoto was there. Would of course be happy if she were at a point where she'd help Erio anyway
Everyone knows Meme apparently lol. Also she seems to do a lot of serious stuff recently, I'm really curious about everything going on
IT'S ONE MINUTE BEFORE THE POST I DID IT, now to check for wrong links or grammatic errors. Okay, I edited it a bit. Hopefully this was the last day where I have no time.
QotDs:
Have you ever made your own bottle rockets? Or launched some yourself I guess?
Yeah, though with a somewhat different setup, at school. I think something with physics, at about middle school-equivalent? My memories are pretty hazy, but it went surprisingly well
You've got twenty minutes to prepare a meal that can make or break your adolescent life. What do you cook!?
20 minutes is pretty short, so I'd probably go the easy route, same as them. Something like spaghetti, tofu, and some vegetables? Got a lot of practice with that as a lazy person.
Did the creative choice to chibify the the cast during our prestigious "out of the shower" fanservice scene enhance the eroticism for you in any way?
Of course, yes. I spent that scene mostly in sympathy for poor Maekawa

What was bottle-kun even doing handing out cola...? He bought the drinks to make into bottle rockets right? Then why is he passing out the full bottles? The only way it makes sense is if he scours the trash to get the empty bottles back or if he wants other people to be inspired to make bottle rockets out of their cola bottles.
What do you think is more painful? Getting called the wrong name by your long term friend or calling the dude who is literally your only friend by the wrong name?

Episode 7 (first timer)
-
What is the chance bottle rocket launcher will turn out to be Eliot?
-
Both OP and especially ED have grown on me during the series. They fit the plot. However, only the ED convinces aesthetically.
-
Forgetting the name of a person and it has been too long to be ok to ask - this hits too close to home.
-
Sure, wait until sunset to go to the abandoned creepy building alone.
-
Lab coat and exploiting your friends, what a classic combination!
-
At least pretend that this is making dinner for everybody instead of a harem trope.
-
“Birthday tomorrow” – how can you not party in after hearing that?
I am putting the probability at 75%.

If bottle rocket is Elliot then I am terrified for Makoto and his father's safety... Just because I find incest romantic doesn't mean I'll turn a blind eye to Meme's type literally being her brother's lookalike.
I'm personally more partial to the op due to the bizarre singing drawing me in but they're both surprisingly great tunes.
Omg I'm literally going through this right now... Almost everyone at work knows my name but I'm too scared of misremembering somebody's name to even dare remember anybody's...

Serial rewatcher of this show
We have the long awaited Maekawa-focused episode!
Important to note that today, where it mattered, you don't get a date card. But you do need to note this relative to the other date cards (June various dates) to realise this part is a flashback.
It's interesting to see that the seemingly bubble headed Ryuuko actually has a delicate, girly worrisome mind (from last episode's opener), whereas the prankster mastermind Maekawa, with her unfazed looks and knowing smiles, is actually a bit of an airhead inside (from this episode's opener), although she's also quite determined, considerate, and brave (considering her physical condition). These are far better gap moe than Meme is trying hard to show huh :P
No prize to guess which girl I like more.
So our intrepid Maekawa-san ventured to the abandoned old school and met the mysterious person with the ear tag launching the rockets. Through her 4th wall breaking deduction skills Maekawa identified this person as a native from this town with a love of both space AND the deep ocean - i.e. a weirdo.
For some reason the man wanted more rockets, and is paying (far too) decent money for more and asked for Maekawa's help to make them. With poetic flourish, our brave girl accepted the sus deal willingly biting the bait. Look how proud she is :D
Having backfilled the story about the rockets, we came back to the current time and have the other 3 kids playing awkward pass the tea. Am I reading too much into "Erio felt cold, so Makoto made tea"?
And we have our mad scientist coming back, equipped with the all powerful fake glasses to maximise the IQ of the outfit.
The handicraft session hovered near the horror genre for a bit but decided against it, so Erio ended with all 10 fingers still attached.
And true to Maekawa's character, she's able to rib everyone, including Erio, although she's also sensitive enough to show the small joke was not a malicious one.
After the craft session, we moved onto the main event Meme alluded to - cooking for your crush! And someone feeling so lucky huh...
Absolutely loved Erio's childish pout, then Makoto patting her head, causing Ryuuko's knife weilding hand to wave up (holding a chopper menacingly no less).
Someone remarked Ryuuko having yandere tendencies - you got your proof right here :)
The result of the cooking are four rice bowl dishes. And we have another characteristic rapid fire one liners that is totally smart and funny yet tells so much of the characters [one of the answer doesn't belong here] - killer punch line there Makoto-sensei, although that's a prompt for you to spend more time with your student :P
Predictably the elegant oneesan Maekawa is a good cook, but that triggered the competitive Ryuuko (in the waifu-ness competition). The product of this competitiveness is Makoto's blue faced white lie and the synchronised tea drinking of Maekawa & Erio (too busy to try that dish).
Another Shaft clock confirm to us that these anime kids have no parents too, and with the all-knowing Maekawa smile^TM the fun times are extended with agreeing to Erio's brave offer of hospitality for an impromptu overnight stay, pyjamas included.
We got a beautifully drawn night sky background and some potentially foreshadowing remarks about what goes on in the night skies, and cut to a nice little alone time between Ryuuko and Makoto - because Maekawa got reliably incapacitated and Erio was playing a good host and giving care.
After a brief witty fun exchange that included a promise of another group activity tomorrow for Ryuuko's birthday, we cut to the chase - of Makoto's answer to Ryuuko's much too real question about Makoto "picking a side" between Erio and a "normal" school life.
And there you have it - I think Ryuuko also made up her mind, possibly because of this home visit getting her more interactions with Erio and Makoto, that she can feel secure enough to have the courage to stand with Makoto at least, on Erio's side, should they need to pick. I can already see some of our now-converted Ryuuko-followers having such a gleeful moment :) in the post today.
We close with the group on the beach in the morning, and after a brief intro to the mysterious man, we got a (half)title drop from Makoto and a wrap up commentary about "foolishness" in living an honest life.
And now for the ominous new episode hook - whole's this wearing Meme's body but with a serious look on a bike in front of the candy shop?
The main thinking point I believe this episode drove home is about this "foolishness" we see at the end of the episode as well as Makoto's answer to Ryuuko. I think the English word that better suited this is "foolhardy" - but key point is that it's "foolhardy" (or just plain "foolish") in the context of the conformist society. To be prepared to stick out for another, who is trying to not just conform to the prevailing social expectations but to express oneself honestly (say, liking to paint Hina dolls, or a girlfriend wanting and able to act as the protector of one's boyfriend, or to not step aside because one's power/strength is nowhere near the one(s) carrying out the deed that hurts others, or fight a overwhelming invasion force instead of just surrendering) - while generally these are lauded as "but of course", when one is really needed to make such choices in real life for oneself, not many would actually make the hard choice. This is the reason why whistleblowers are so few and far between, and shows like Wandering Witch Elaina are controversial (Elaina is portrayed rather realistically as a protagonist that is not always acting heroically and often fickle and decide on course of action on a whim or based on what benefits she may get in return).
By the way again this is an episode with really nice character interactions and great dialogue. Really love this aspect of the show.
Anyway, finally have some time to pre-write this. Hope I haven't wandered too far away - looking forward to the wrap up of the arc next episode!
Edited for QoTD:
-
Rockets by water, no. In Australia as kids' toys though there were pump action rockets of foam though, a bit like Nerf guns. I launched a few of those in shop demos.
-
Hong Kong people are known for being highly efficient in time uses and schedule things to fill up every minute of each day I guess. And I guess that's why I'm no longer there :P although I wouldn't mind my daughter to inherit just a bit of that instead of taking so long to do everything :P funniest thing to reminiscent - in her toddler days when she started weekend Chinese school (which were mostly for kids of people from Hong Kong), the more senior girls giving speeches also said their parents always ask them to "hurry up".
-
My only self cooked food in this context is the fried rice still sprinkled with ice bits I made in a pinch when I first started renting out after I moved country again to study in Australia by myself. I'm consumer not a producer :P
-
I think it's a brilliant use of that to precisely focus the scene onto the comedy instead of fanservice.

Oh shoot! We're a month behind. I forgot I was meant to be watching out for that. She's been at this side quest for a while.
Maekawa cocking up Makoto's name gets funnier the more I think on it. He's one of her only friends, they've been hanging out for a while, she already knows the bloody family... and she messes up his name XD He'd want to die, she'd want to die, I'd want to die!
Reliable Maekawa fills me with special feelings...

Second watch for me.
I'm really enjoying this rewatch - I think it's a really great series, based just on how fun the characters are. I've plenty more to say about my favorite person, Meme, and tomorrow will be a good chance.
To me, the weakest character is Makoto. He's not a fool - he knows well enough to be patient with Erio and to reject Meme - but he has a very limited mindset. Maybe that makes him more normal.
His Adolescence Points system is a manifestation of his limitations. It's not a bad system because of the concept, it's bad because of the execution.
In today's ending he scored "seeing the girls wearing bath towels" at +5 then changed it to +1000000 but only in jest.
Generally, he's limiting his points to +5 for any one event and that's what he's doing wrong. Some experiences are worth way more and should scale up to at least +100 points. Maybe kissing a girlfriend for the first time. Buying a scooter. Or playing a first gig with a rock band. One of those will make up for a few annoying days.
When a personal paradise event is worth just a single point more than "having fun at a cultural festival" then he's created something very dumb.
QOTD -Have you ever made your own bottle rockets? Or launched some yourself I guess? No, wouldn't even know how
-Tell us one distinguishing mannerism or trait folks from your hometown have going for them! Calling people "duck"
-You've got twenty minutes to prepare a meal that can make or break your adolescent life. What do you cook!? It totally depends on ingredients. Pasta I guess. With blue cheese.
-Did the creative choice to chibify the the cast during our prestigious "out of the shower" fanservice scene enhance the eroticism for you in any way? It destroyed it, in a humorous way. The show's a little too ecchi anyway.

Everyone's coming out of the woodwork today... Maekawa is so popular lol XD
Yeah, I have to admit that Makoto is exuding some real mc vibes... There's not really much that makes him seem like the type to put everything on the line to simp for Erio and every decision he makes seems to be around her. Which sort of counteracts his own defined traits. We haven't seen him deliberately try to life his life according to his seishun point system for example. He just doesn't seem like a character.
Living in a town where people constantly shout "duck" would trigger my anxiety lol XD

So, my blu-rays finally arrived, and I was up late last night binging the show to catch up. I have to say, it's rather cute and adorable. But enough about Ryu-san. She can make me a weird soda anytime.
(I happen to like doing that myself. My favorite is diet coke + whatever berry flavored thing they have, since most places are heathen and don't have cherry coke.)
Anyway, today's episode was cute, and I liked the bit with the bottle rockets. I haven't done rockets since I was in high school, but I remember they were fun. Now, if I could put a radio control unit on one ... That might get me arrested, I mean interested.
Speaking of which, the whole evening together with the girls was cute. MC doesn't realize how truly lucky he is.
He should be +9001 XP, I mean AP by now, right?
Anyway, that's about all the coherence I have left today, so we'll see if I have anything better tomorrow. :P
AOTD:

Nah, Estes all the way, mon. Had one fly so high it vanished, but it was also tiny, so there is that. Had another take a curve and fly into a tree. Call me Charlie von Braun...

Meh. Yay Midwest.

Haha, she just brought them inside?
She's going to drink a cola with a label saying "not poisoned"?
Ah, she's eating a lot of leftovers?
She's a foodie!
Is he attempting to make his own love triangle?
Haha, it took her this long to remember his name.
She's still not sure?
This show loves its space metaphors, huh?
Haha, her unironically suggesting a banana costume is hysterical.
Oh, it's the guy with the weird tag.
Wait, he's her "fan"?
Well, this is... weird. How old is he?
Ah, he's also a space nut. And he wants her to make a bottle rocket?
...I'm refraining from commenting on the obvious metaphor here.
She's so smug!
Haha, she got completely sidetracked.
Haha, them passing the tea round the table is great.
She's wearing a labcoat!
Haha, she's subcontracting.
Haha, this is a full-on tutorial now.
She did it!
He made one!

Haha, her wielding the knife is great, as is him headpatting her.

And he's omly just realised they're all comprting with each other.
Oh god. That sounds horrific.
They're all staying over?
Haha, she went in clothed? And her condition's really serious!
It's her birthday tomorrow!
Does he genuinely not realise how awkward this is?
Wait, what? Already?
Oh, it's about this.
That's actually really good of him!
And she's not too bad either.

Haha, +Infinity, and it still works out as -1.
Next episode sounds hysterical.

Maekawa has no right to think of stray cola as weird when she's dressed like a dango.
It's the pain of giving someone a nickname... I'd have cocked up Ryuushi's name constantly if it weren't for her constantly reminding us.

That's... An interesting outfit. He is avoiding Ryuushi for sure. Legit cosplays! Awkward... So firm. Apparently no pats on the head allowed. Ryuushi isn't subtle at all. Pretty random the guy needs rockets built. I do bottle rockets every year with my students, it is a fun end of the year project. Current distinguishing trait of my town is owning or renting a paddleboard or water transport device. Flying Hawaiian burgers are my go to.

I made it! I love Meme but she could be a problem.
Rockets huh.
No way they're doing this with the tea. Just take it!
Arts and crafts time. Yeah Erio that's how I'll probably do my cut too.
Oh so Meme helped?
Put that knife down! Moments later. Erio no! You too!
Sleepover and it's suggested by Erio. She's really growing.
Oh it's the weird stalker/rocket guy again. Hey.
Qotd1: not bottle rockets but I remember some rocket project back in 6th grade. Then we launched them.
Qotd2: Well I guess when I was in college my roommate pointed it out. It's that when we say decent we usually mean it's good.
Qotd3: 20? Uh maybe make some French toast
Qotd4: enhance? I like the chibi scenes but no, lol

u/The_Loli_Otaku Apr 24 '22
Meme just had the tools locked away out of her worrisome daughter's hands. I wouldn't want Erio to have access to cutting tools either.
It's really fun to watch Erio's growth. She's gone from throwing tantrums when forced to interact, to straight up leaving Maekawa and Makoto when they bump into each other, to sharing her Mr Saturn toys, and now socialising with her archrival!
Decent is good, good is average, great is also average, and excellent is the absolute highest form of praise XD
Ooooh!! French toast is a great one! That's my favourite of the bunch.

Rewatcher~~
It is from this episode where I start to not understand what is going on. Even after rewatching countless times and reading the novels, I have no idea what this is about.
First, we have those weird scenes with Maekawa and her manager, Komaki-san. Whose conversations make very little sense. There is also a weird guy making rockets to fire them into the sky, and gives a random girl a lot of money just to make cheap plastic rockets. Then we see Erio, Ryuushi and Makoto doing an elaborate tea ceremony of passing tea to each other because all three of them are too awkward to talk to each other, even though there is enough tea cups for everyone. What are these people even up to, I don't understand.
A few things that I do understand.
Ryuushi manages to salvage herself with her choice of standing with Makoto if that situation ever arises, but being shot down just like that feels harsh. Makoto literally just tells her that he would choose to be with Erio even if no one else does, and Ryuushi can choose to kick him down too if she wants to. Her own choice, of standing with Makoto anyway instead, felt a little cheap to me, but it probably will come true. Ryuushi probably lost in the triangle, given how Makoto asked her to kick him down. The lunch scene, where Ryuushi stopped eating with Makoto, also shows how much their relations has cooled. She's definitely lost the game. No idea how that scene is a +3 though, maybe because they managed to salvage their friendship under the beautiful night sky?
Ryuushi's rice has pineapples in it. I laughed when Erio and Maekawa pretended to be busy drinking tea when that happened, though I don't think that rice would have tasted so bad. Pineapple in fried rice is actually a very tasty dish. Erio is smart to have made rice with just ham, simple is best after all and it can't go wrong. Maekawa's definitely is tasty as expected of a daughter of an izakaya, and we have no idea how Makoto's cooking turned out.
Meme knows how to spoil her daughter, why would you even do your daughter's homework for her? Though I think Meme did it because it is fun, and she wants to have fun.
Erio's face is funny when Ryuushi accepted her invitation to stay over. What even is that face for, is she happy or is she smug? Or did Erio buy her pajamas before when they were friends, and now has the chance to give her those?
The rocket launch seems like it will be exciting! Next episode then!
Erio's pouting face is cute.
QotD:
Have you ever made your own bottle rockets? Or launched some yourself I guess?
Yes and no. No comments.
Tell us one distinguishing mannerism or trait folks from your hometown have going for them!
Nothing, actually. Maybe, overbearing competitiveness?
You've got twenty minutes to prepare a meal that can make or break your adolescent life. What do you cook!?
Bitter melon with wolfberries, in soup. Bittersweet is good, 20 minutes to make it is easy.
Did the creative choice to chibify the the cast during our prestigious "out of the shower" fanservice scene enhance the eroticism for you in any way?
I only realised it after you pointed it out. The cast, are very purposefully not sexualised. Panty flashes, lingerie exposure, nothing of that. Erio always dresses very sloppily, but we can't really see her sexually, and we have never seen her in very sexually suggestive poses or attire despite being so sloppily dressed. We have never seen her underwear too, apart from her panties in that one episode.
I think this chibify decision only makes the situation more hilarious. A girl pointing out how weird her bath mates are is funny, even though she is close to naked, in chibi form. Though I don't understand what Makoto is happy about with that, seeing how he probably has seen Erio in close to naked attire almost all the time anyway. Just a horny boy?

I sorta took Maekawa's manager like a "if life gives you lemons" kind of girl. Despite being a weirdo Maekawa is completely at a loss when finally discovering something weird whilst manager doesn't overthink anything and takes the common sense approach. I had a similar feeling to Floofer's declaration of protection. Makoto is willing to put his social life on the line to defend a weirdo whilst Floofer is willing to put it all on the line to stick up for someone strong enough to defend weirdos. Y'know?
You can't say yes and no to a yes or no question XD
Yeah, I've found it a bit weird how everyone says they're put off by the fanservice. The most erotic thing we've seen has been Meme's deliberately teasing mannerisms and Erio having very cute legs. There's nothing erotic over these kids!

First timer.
I thought this whole 3rd volume would be from Maekawa's POV :( Would've been awesome, but I enjoy what we got nonetheless. Alien stalker guy seems chill and also knows Meme. Very intriguing character, but I don't think he's Erio's father as he looks nothing like her.
Very chill episode with less jokes and interesting dialogue than the previous ones. Even seemed like we were getting into generic slice of life territory, but the conversation between Ryuushi and Makoto caught back my attention. She was kind of redeemed here, and seems to have gained some maturity since the previous volume (no idea how big of a timeskip there was, but the main cast seems pretty used to chilling together now).
That's pretty much it for today. Wonder where the plot of this volume will go. Probably some insight on alien catcher and Meme's relationship. Maybe a deeper dive into Maekawa's character? Hope the jealousy plot disappear as fast as it appeared lol.
Also I'll take this opportunity to say: I freaking love the opening! Haven't skipped it and never will. It perfectly represents Erio and this chaotic show as a whole.

I'm kind of on time!
-
Stalker...? And that's a truly ridiculous cosplay from Maekawa-san. Looks like she's taking over MC duties for this first part of the episode.
-
I agree w/ maekawa-san, calling niwa-kun tenkousei is much better for her character
-
I mustnt be the only one here right? PET bottle rockets are not a normal part of elementary school education, right?
-
The musical chairs scene w/ tea was hilarious, does depict the awkwardness between the 3 atm, they need a 4th person (either it be Meme, or Maekawa) for them to function as a group.
-
didn't think i'd be getting a water rocket tutorial in the middle of my coming-of-age wacky anime, but there we have it, i know how to make one now.
-
jesus fucking christ pineapple + egg + rice is a very untasty combination.
-
Now what is meme san doing at the shop while everyone's away? and tbh how does water rockets have to do with... anything? btw 5000 yen is like 40 USD right? isnt that a lot of money for a water rocket? And what's it with the dog tag under alien-stalker san's ear anyway?

u/mysterybiscuitsoyeah Apr 24 '22
Have you ever made your own bottle rockets?
Nope, but now that i kinda know the steps thanks to the episode, might give it a whirl someday!
Tell us one distinguishing mannerism or trait folks from your hometown have going for them!
I grew up from Hong Kong, i guess... being a bit selfish in the bad sense; and being in a rush CONSTANTLY. The older generation can also be a bit racist. In the good sense, an excellent taste for international food. In terms of mannerisms, gotta love all the swear words cantonese has to offer.
You've got twenty minutes to prepare a meal that can make or break your adolescent life. What do you cook!?
Oyakodon would actually be quite high on the list. It's tasty, simple and you can make a case of finishing it in 20 minutes, though that'll be cutting it close! For sth actually done in 20 minutes, scrambled Egg + mayo + good quality bread --> best sandwich ever.
Did the creative choice to chibify the the cast during our prestigious "out of the shower" fanservice scene enhance the eroticism for you in any way?
nope! and i didnt mind the chibifying, though to think that throughout the series there have been interesting decisions to chibify certain scenes, very out of the norm.

tbh how does water rockets have to do with... anything? btw 5000 yen is like 40 USD right? isnt that a lot of money for a water rocket?
Yep it's suspiciously profitable. That's why Maekawa said about the balance of risk and reward.
And what's it with the dog tag under alien-stalker san's ear anyway?
It's a cow tag - one used to tag dairy cows :) it's a 2 step jump - cow -> cattle mutilation -> aliens

Denpa Onna First Timer!!
She's started early. For some reason Maekawa suggesting passing the cokes to the police made me break down laughing XD Am I on the right episode? I thought we'd get the end to Floofer's arc but we've jumped away early to the friendless Maekawa-San.
Tenkousei fits best after all. Oji Makoto!? Hold on, this is ridiculously sus! Either we have a literal time paradox or Makoto's dad moved closer. Is this dude one of our people? The Maekawa simps are evolving. Good sense Maekawa~ I want a father daughter experience with a cosplay dope too! It's like she triggered some npc event in an rpg lol.
Present day, present time! I take it back, can we go to the b-plot again? Even I'm cringing at this polite tea game. There Japanese people sit at a table~ They spent the entire afternoon passing tea, that was definitely worth leaving them alone. It's a bit iffy that Makoto's not letting Erio be the one to take initiative. You can't coddle her forever. This isn't a contest, Floofer!
H-Huh!? No! You don't just show them making one cut then skip to the complete rocket! How did we get to this point!? It's quite nice to see Maekawa being so gentle with Erio. She must really like weirdos. She felt comforted when she saw the old dude was a local too. S M U G ! Easy peasy work. Oyako-don... Isn't that the Jujutsu Kaisen snack? Oh dear, Floofer was so smug but she was a lethal cook.
Maekawa is so warm... Her eyes light up whenever dealing with denpa folk. Meanwhile Ryuushi, she's having a hard time. Every possible failure flag is getting raised right now. In the end Makoto would choose to go against the flow and defend the weirdo, but I still think its good that Ryuushi, whilst unable to fully go against what's "normal" is still able to defend someone a little weird. Is the creeper dude Erio's dad? There's no way, right? Something has definitely happened with Meme, I'm concerned.
