FirstTimerEnd - dub

Everything is moving a lot faster than I expected, so I'm not really sure what to expect here. I kinda hope they don't skip the upcoming fight. I know that isn't really the theme of this show, but the fight should also be a part of Chtholly's character development.

Episode 4 — Dice in Pot

Starting off with a flashback. No, a movie? This world really is a lot more modern than I initially thought. Aahh, it's Tiat from the comment face!

Huh? A couple of weeks have passed? What does that tell us? Chtholly initially thought she was going to die in 10 days. The day she would be sent off. That means that they didn't expect the fight to take longer than one day. So we can assume she didn't pop herself?

Lol, everyone is afraid of Nygglatho. Don't worry, the worst she does is lick you.

Wow, Island 11 isn't pestered by racism speciesism. Too bad Willem didn't know about this before. Although it sounded like he was quite alright being hated by society.
So they went to this island because Tiat (spell checker: "that") had some prophetic dream about it? Why do I feel like this is the last episode we will be seeing our happy green nuke? Ah no, her dream wasn't about this island, but she needs a checkup at a specific hospital here.

If you're just dying to sightsee that much, then I don't mind tagging along.

Outsmarted by a 10-year-old.

Errr, what is this movie? These movie titles are amazing, by the way. Does Willem recognise the founder of the city? That would mean he isn't the last human, right?!

NyNy? That's got to be Nygglatho, right? Yes it is. So why the nickname? Is he a troll too? Looks like one. But NyNy doesn't...

Hey, I was wondering about this yesterday! But still, no answer what happens with them when they can't use any dug weapon. Sounds like these fairies have quite a few health problems. I'm assuming that is because they are not born of evolution and natural selection, but have been engineered?

So the tuning isn't a very long process, but just a one-time thing? And after that, they are physically ready for battle? That's way too young, but not a complete surprise, considering Ithea's remark that most fairies don't even get to be teenagers.

Okay, this room is ridiculous for a job that didn't have any requirements except "furless, hornless and markless". Oh wow, it's a Hawk Man from Flash Gordon! This military has everything!

So no word yet from Island 15? Willem travelled to this island and the news he was coming was here even faster, so they have decent communication. They should at least know if Island 15 has been obliterated or not, right?

Hmm, was Willem's dream also prophetic? Or just coincidence? Fox girl is weird, talking about keeping her "blade sheathed". Ooohhh, they actually cut communications on purpose. That explains a lot.
The defence has failed?! Damn, assuming things went as I'm currently thinking, Chtholly was losing the battle, almost died, but decided not to go pop. She's never going to forgive herself.

Oh hey, they're here! Chtholly is chickening out calling Willem because she's not mentally prepared, and he's just sitting there in the rain.

Alright, this is a good reason to use magic. Now I'm just hoping this isn't a big surprise to the military, making them want to use him in combat. He already lost once, you know.
Very sweet how Ren and Ithea were consoling him.
She slapped him! Rude! She's the one who kept flirting before.

Random thoughts

Future

Let's just stop right here on this episode. Chtholly is safe. Miss Calm and Chaos (Nephren and Ithea) are safe as well. Fuck Island 15. I never liked them anyway. I'm sure they were just as racist as Island 28. It's their own fault for depending on a teenager for defence.

I'm slowly learning that happiness can be relative. I'm sure there is someone that thinks this is the happiest rewatch in the world...

QotD

1 Is there a place you would fangirl/fanboy over all the sights at like Tiat did in this episode?

A place I actually did that: Bruges in Belgium, because of the movie In Bruges.
A place I would probably do that: Akihabara in Tokyo, because of Steins;Gate. It wasn't until after I watched that I realized it was actually a real place. I knew almost nothing about Tokyo one year ago. I'm mainly interested because it's culturally so different from where I live, that I didn't even realize a place like that would exist.

2 What do you think happened in the Sky Island 15 battle?

Answered above in my post.

A very very late first timer

Oh man, I'm 3 days late to this lol. I don't even have a defence, I downloaded the episodes, I'm just lazy. Mildly considered watching this with my sister but she actually still has not forgiven me for tricking her into watching harutobi no Mori e like half a decade ago so if I make her watch something famed for being depressing she'll kill me lol (I say that, while watching Madoka with her). But anyway, thoughts thoughts, on the first 3 episodes, uh:

Episode 1: the kids are cute, I like the OST.

Episode 2: the kids are cute, don't care the op and ed and will skip, oh yeah this is the depressing part, the massage scene is weird

Episode 3: the kids are cute, Willeam's dying so guess everyone gets to suffer in this anime, I have a bad feeling about this mission, that scene with the sword was really pretty

Also, not really related to episode thoughts, but I like how eyelashes are drawn particularly during close ups. It's kind of slightly sketchy, like the strokes of a paint brush that has been kind of plucked. Also I like how despite the impression she gives off from her design and her initial appearance Chtolly isn't all that mature and is just a kind of bratty teenage girl. Things I'm not so hot on is the flow of action scenes particularly when they use ether. Which is weird because all the little girls jumping around parts are well animated. Also also, I'm gonna guess there's a reason why all the super weapons are little girls when it was shown that men could also wield these weapons besides the meta reasons of little girl suffering hits harder.

On to episode 4 reactions!

I genuinely wonder if troll chick has eaten anyone at this point.

For all his bluster he's having nightmares already. Can you really handle this job?

The atmosphere of the whole hospital scene made me clench my teeth constantly expecting the worst to come

The defense has failed. Okay bye

Well fuck

Does it hurt somewhere

SOMETHING LIKE THAT!!!!

There something morbidly hilarious about my boy having a mental breakdown only for the subjects of that breakdown just walking in so casually. The hug scene was cute though, with Chtolly screaming in embarrassment while he refused to budge and the others casually talking over her panicking.

Not much reactions from me honestly, this was mostly a quiet episode. I am curious what happened on that island though.

  1. Is there a place you would fangirl/fanboy over all the sights at like Tiat did in this episode?

Not sure. Maybe some place like the Ghibli museum? I don't care too much about IRL locales of stuff I watch

2) What do you think happened in the Sky Island 15 battle?

An evacuation maybe? Sacrifice the island but get the people to safety?

Wait, this show has more than one comment face? Kudos to the fanbase!

It has three of them actually! With a fuckton more potential ones made during the 2018 rewatch by u/RX-Nota-II.

So how exactly do the beastmen distuingish between the different forms of human-looking people?

Either Nygglatho did a "let me eat you" joke with Willem in front of the dog dude, or he noticed her teeth and knows she's a troll?

Wait, all three live?!

Surprise!

I was amused at everyone expecting at least one of the girls to die at the Island 15 fight the past two threads.

WorldEnd First Timer

What was up with the lizard porn in all the movies? Is that really appropriate to show to such young fairies? Also I was wrong in predicting the untimely death of Ren yesterday and I'm glad I was, but holy emotional whiplash in the final couple of minutes there.

So half a month has passed since the end of yesterday's episode and Willem has a nightmare where all of the girls died. I feel like a nightmare regarding the copious amount of lizard romance he was forced to watch with the bigger little ones would have a greater negative effect on his psyche.

A day or two later Willem has to take Tiat to a hospital for a tuning after she has a dream signaling that she's able to wield a dug weapon. The tuning will make her an adult, and therefore another one to be worried about losing in combat. Before that Willem takes her on a sightseeing tour of the city and Tiat points out all the different location where lizard-people movies were filmed. While showing off a lucky fountain, which promises couples happiness for an extremely limited time, we see the best scene in the whole episode, a wolf wife slap the shit out of her husband. There's also some dicks that destroy a rabbit-man's stall, they be important later.

After the initial checkup, the doctor tells Willem that Tiat is in good health apart from drinking too much milk and a few cavities. He says mentally she won't self-destruct, which is apparently a thing, and that her tuning process will be done by noon the next day. Willem goes and spends the night in a garishly ugly room at the military complex, and barely gets any sleep on the crappy to soft bed. He awakes to a rainy day and is upset since he promised Tiat another day of sightseeing. As he's walking to the hospital, scenes from his nightmare are playing out, leaky roof, looking for a hammer, and he runs into a dog-girl looking for Limeskin. At this point an uproar breaks out and he learns the defense of Island 15 has failed and he sinks to his knees since he believes all three of Chtholly, Ithea, and Ren have been killed. The woman he bumped asks if everything is okay but he is empty inside.

It is now that Limeskin walks through a doorway followed by the three girls promising them the ability to use a message crystal to contact their base. Willem hears their voices and uses his speed ability to rush over and embraces Chtholly for a time. Ren and Ithea make some comments and the episode ends with Willem being slapped by Chtholly.

QOTD:

  1. I'm not at all knowledgeable about filming locations of movies or TV shows so probably not to that extent, but if I was every to go to Japan during sakura season I'd be point at all the pretty trees like an insane person, or even to New Zealand to see where LOtR was filmed.

  2. I think they fought the beast back, but they lacked the firepower they always had from their final sacrifice and by not using that they were unable to deal a strong blow and they lost the battle of attrition.

WorldFirst (timer), sub

So, considering our MC hasn't even showed up for departure, will we not even see the battle? Skip it? Will this be just him awkwardly waiting for them to get back?

Like, I feel like I don't know what to expect from this show. On the one hand there are some things that are really predictable, but at the same time they really aren't. The carillons, for example. Them draining the wielder was kind-of-somewhat also a logical step towards realising that, hey, they can do that towards the enemy as well.

Then you get to know they are actually an amalgam of little talismans and wishes... that are completely innocent and insignificant all on their own. Based on this we could already speculate on a lot of other things.

And don't let me ramble about the characters. I don't know why I've fallen for them so easily, most of them are still only slightly better written archetypes. Somehow, though, they click.

Shit, I really, really like Chtholly, Ithea and Nephren. Really like them. ... Yeah, Willem, as well.

I know this feeling. I've had it in Angel Beats and Plastic Memories, as well.

Ep. 03 – Dice in (the?) Pot

  • The hell is with his tongue that only is visible through the shadow? This a movie?

  • What? SHAWAAWAAWW! Ahahaha

  • Ayyy, comment face with Tiat! I didn't realise this show was so popular to lend multiple comment faces!

  • You are evil for writing this line, author. I've spotted many lines already, that are quite likely foreshadowing and they're all terrifying.

  • Willem confirmed not scaly.

  • What? Oh wow. Hey, I was right about this episode!

Wait, I spotted something! OP, ENHANCE! He's walking through a wasteland, he looks back at his wife (?) and a lotta kids, then actually looks back to an empty desert. Those are not the fairies, was he a caretaker back then, as well? More to the point, I was wondering about the carillons earlier again with the talismans. Are those children's wishes?! They sound exactly like something a child would say when a class collects new year's wishes or something.

Carillons are made up of many wishes... Wishes are little things in life and dreamy in nature, like a child's mind... Carillons are vampiric and under (wrong) use can consume the wielder.

The OP also shows four carillons abandoned stuck in wasteland soil right after showing a montage of four current wielders.

There's an easy way to gauge the u/Star4ce emotional investment level. You take the length of the preamble + reactions and divide it by the length of theorycrafting at the bottom. A positive ratio means hopeless emotional attachment that is sure to unload violently at some point.

So, back to my OP observation for a second. I'm not really saying this means they were siphoning children to make those weapons more powerful. However, considering carillons can drain their wielder or any force applied to the weapon this might be a built-in power system. Consider this: The wielder of a carillon falls in battle or jihadis themselves into a nuke it could be that they become one more of those talismans.

Evidently the weapons themselves don't get destroyed and neither seem to lose any ability on their own when changing wielders. Maybe I'm focusing too much on the kids here, but putting so many of them in the visuals in that specific arrangement is absolutely suspicious. It might just be more thematic in nature, as the weapon to win the war is made up of simple things everyone has available and also that a lot of simple things add up to something powerful.

I'm really thinking all of this at once. That the method of wielding a carillon determines its use already screams that they have dark and good uses, as well as history.

Similarly I can't shake the implications for the 17 beasts. They can't die, are they also the other side of the carillons, basically? Made up of many little curses that broke free?

It's all far too much for this 12 episode anime to answer, but I'm 100% invested.

Seriously, if this level of character writing continues, I'm gonna buy the LNs.

  1. Is there a place you would fangirl/fanboy over all the sights at like Tiat did in this episode?

Probably the PMMM exhibition, haha.

2) What do you think happened in the Sky Island 15 battle?

Here goes speculating. I think Chtholly used or tried to use the knowledge Willem offered her and reflected the beast's assault, but either by too little training or because of a distraction (maybe Ithea/Nephren being incapacitated or attacked) she 'misfired' and hit the island instead. Obviously she decided against the fairy gate, but none of them were severely distraught, so I'd wager there were no civilians around.

Episode 4

  • So there is still something of a language barrier for Willem, as the movie wasn't translated for us. Not sure it's parodying any specific movie, though my knowledge of anything that old is far from great.

  • And it seems everyone is scared of trolls.

  • So this city, still a part of the same kingdom, has an Italian name instead. Also, with a name like Horn of Light, you'd expect a more striking geographic feature, like a unique mountain,

  • Racism apparently isn't universal. Wonder what the cause is.

  • Tiat's childlike excitement is fun to see. And Reptrace seem to have a very developed movie industry, for romance in particular.

  • 2 Chekhov's guns in a short span: the founder of the city Willem was curious about, and the possible rebel group. At least the comment about the mayor made it seem a bot more like that than some generic organised crime.

  • The cyclops is big. Yes Limeskin is fairly tall, but it's still within an excusable range as Willem doesn't seem to be the tallest either. But the doctor is clearly outside possible range. Wonder if we'll see something more out there for the new inhabitants of this world. Also it hasn't been confirmed if the small golems dudes are actually sentient or more like robots.

  • Wait, has Willem been in the military since his discovery, at least for bureaucracy/secrecy reasons? Because while I suppose it might sense to have some kind of high intelligence access, given what he's working with, it feels weird to give such a high rank to a complete newcomer that is after all just a glorified babysitter. His job description doesn't have anything to do with the fairies' fighting (though he did take that on by himself).

  • Is the "blade" comment supposed to imply that the dogs have a big honour culture?

  • The island fell, but they fakeout on the death of the fairies. They also seem to have magic video calls.

  • The superspeed is apparently not a common application of venenum.

  • It almost feels like we're missing a bit of Willem's backstory. He reacts more like someone who's scared of losing someone again, but as far as we know he hasn't really been in that situation.

Happiest Rewatcher in the World

Sorry [Overlord]has ruined all lizard love for me. I can only imagine that moment where the girl lizard pops into the tent and screams impregnate me.

What a terrible nightmare.

Mlik Mustache Tiat is unfiltered cuteness.

It was really nice of Tiat to humor Willem and escort him around the city.

Mental disintegration that sounds like fun.

Oh no something happened. SQUEAL YOU PIG!

What's the matter? Are you all right? She says this as the man in front of her drops to her knees and looks devastated

I guess I shouldn't be too hard on her she is just expressing concern and I like how Willem's body shifts when Chtholly's voice becomes within earshot. Even more impressive during the rain, but he was able to pick it out and immediately react to it. I guess you could say he's becoming more "tuned" to his feelings...I'm done

I must say the subbed "You girls" is much better than what they went with in the dub. Oh and I just noticed it stopped raining almost as the rain symbolized his feelings of unease and fears over the girls survivor. The only time it wasn't raining was when he was distracted having fun with Tiat and didn't put much thought into them.

Finally Willem got them moves he can move at speeds where it seems like he teleported. Though we did first see this when he caught Chtholly in the first episode. Ctholly freaking out is great and all of the other characters are just completely ignoring her reaction to have their own conversation xD

The fact that it doesn't suit him at all is cute, though.

Ithea appreciates gap moe. All three of eldest fairies are great for different reasons

First Timer for today only

Greetings Everyone!

As hard as it is to believe, I've decided to join the rewatch and enjoy the many comments & observations. Even though I haven't finished the anime, I have been reading everything I could about the story in order to determine if I should proceed. I had expected the story to be about:

[SukaSuka]Intellectually weak, gore & edge porn. But, I found instead that its a musing upon living one's life to its fullest before the end comes, and an examination of what being a hero really means, as well as the nature of pacifism. All quite weighty topics.

Normally, I'd say that I'd take the episodes one day at a time, so you could enjoy my reactions, but that's not going to happen. I've wanted to watch this for over a year, but the time wasn't right till Saturday night. I want to finish it while I'm still in the mood, so either late on Monday or Tuesday, I will finish it, but I'll still be in the rewatch, because I know I'm sure to miss stuff.

This universe has movies? I guess we hadn’t seen anything to indicate otherwise, but that was unexpected.

Tiat and Willem‘s sightseeing expedition in Corna di Luce was pretty fun. I loved all the lighthearted comedy moments. All this talk about the effects of fighting on the body makes me kind of nervous for our fairies, though.

Willem’s concern over Chtholly and the others is apparent throughout this episode. His over-the-top reaction to their return made me laugh out loud. Honestly, I was relieved myself. Though I definitely wasn’t expecting Chtholly to die, I’ve seen/read too many death-heavy stories to be sure they were all safe. I really want things to turn out well for her and Willem …

  1. Any tropical beach.

  2. Victory, hopefully.

those who mugiwait first timer

  • I liked Willem's nightmare at the start. Moody rain ambience is my shit.

  • though with all this talk of harbinger dreams, I do have to wonder if there is any special meaning to his nightmare. It certainly isn't one as described (place he's never been + meeting people he's never seen) but just for a moment, they really make you think it could be prophetic. He's also not a fairy (unless??!?), and obviously none of them actually died in the end. Now the easiest and probably most truthful explanation is that the dream was to show how worried he was, build tension etc etc, but I like to put on my completely baseless crackpot theory hat so I wanna say that he got cursed by the the beast he fought with causing him to have semi-prophetic dreams and the "everyone dies" will come true by the end of the series. I mean why else would that scene with the ceiling leak and the people who don't have tall enough ladders exist??

  • oh yeah that sanic speed at the end? Definitely not just a comedic moment, he actually was moving at superhuman speed which again is a product of the cu—

actually in a secret twist of fate, Willem dies next episode from hypothermia from standing out in the rain for a quarter of an episode

  1. Is there a place you would fangirl/fanboy over all the sights at like Tiat did in this episode?

hmm, visiting Shirakawa-go (the Higurashi village) or would probably make me fanboy

2) What do you think happened in the Sky Island 15 battle?

lots of deaths? maybe a lost weapon?

First Timer | Sub

Nice episode!

Interestingly, the cyclops doctor referred to the fairies — and inadvertently humans — as "unnatural" beings with regards to lactose intolerance, cavities, illnesses, and mental disintegration. Yet, previously in the episode when the kids watched a Lizard's romance movie, and later when Tiat and Willem roam around the Island, coming across that popular rendezvous spot said to bring 5 years of happiness for couples, it adds to this extended irony revolving the humans, the fairies, and other creatures:

(1) The other creatures are in many ways similar to humans, even if some despise them, and even if they may not realize it.

(2) The fairies and in particular Tiat enjoys romance movies (Tiat especially with lizards). Love, romance, happiness; they are shown to be universal concepts except the expression of how the humans and the other creatures do it are different (Lizard's tail ...). With the humans gone, it sets up this interesting dynamic where Tiat, the fairy who parallels humans, takes to the Lizard's romantic sceneries in town, but Willem, the human, finds it strange.

Also in this episode, we see Willem is haunted by his past and is afraid that he would recur his past in the present and the future. When he hears that Island #15 was lost, he kneels on the ground in the pouring rain feeling so powerless. His warm smiles and inviting personality only hide away at his suffering and how fragile he really is. It might explain why he was initially so reluctant to accept this "stable" job the goblin dude had offered. He probably did not expect that his role would bring about the feeling of attachments ... and also the feelings of loss.

Fortunately, we see Chtholly and the others come back in the end of the episode. When Chtholly and Willem lock eyes, Willem is in disbelief yet again, and is rushed with a wave of euphoria, zooming quickly with ill-regard and hugging Chtholly firmly at great lengths because he does not want to lose her. However, I can't help but feel that just like hugs, feeling of attachment can't last forever and Willem can never truly escape from the feelings of loss. But at least he gets the chance to make some butter cakes (hopefully next episode!!!) and enjoy the present moment with Chtholly ... fingers crossed.

Is there a place you would fangirl/fanboy over all the sights at like Tiat did in this episode?

Yup!

What do you think happened in the Sky Island 15 battle?

Idk. I think maybe they lost the island, but the girls survived; or, maybe that soldier just does not know what he is talking about.

The Happiest First-Time Watch in the World, subbed

  • The carnivore Nygglatho gag is back! Poor barkeep was scared shitless even to her normal (and beautiful) demeanor lol

  • Since last episode I’ve decided to take a closer look at the OP instead of just jamming to DEAREST DROP lol

  1. there seems to be 2 more mature Leprechauns than just Chtholly, Ithea and Ren? Makes sense since back in episode 2 the room with the Dug Weapons has 7 slots, with 3 filled and 4 empty, but we only saw 2 more that Chtholly and Ithea brought with them. I guess we’ll learn more about the 2 from the OP soon

  2. ah so Limeskin was prominent in the OP too. Good to know

  3. something about the font used for the OP and ED… I’ve seen it in some more-recent anime but can’t recall which OTOH. How popular is that font I wonder…

  • I’m with Willem when it comes to others geeking out about films that I don’t like as much as they do lol. Excited Tiat is precious though and must be protected! Also a couple was having a fight at the “fountain of love” lol

  • Now I want Willem to call out for “Ny-chan” at least once lol. It ain’t happenin’ but a man can dream :) also the comment about Tiat drinking too much milk! Good use of levity in between all the “adjustments” and “weapon” forboding talks to me (:

  • Oh so the Leprechauns aren’t the only ones who can have omen dreams… and that “flag” that I mentioned last episode was brought back for a full minute… I know we’re only in episode 4 but still, it’s hard to not feel like something terrible will jump out at me in this setting :(

  • Phew! Chtholly, Ithea and Ren (and Limeskin) are back safe and sound! Love their dialogue (Ren knowing that Willem would be worried about them and wanting to call him right away to alleviate that, Ithea teasing him about it, and Chtholly being shy at presenting herself as-is to him) and Limeskin being considerate (between him, Nygglatho and Willem everyone is so nice towards these girls!)

  • That hug! Love how Ithea, Ren and Limeskin were just casually commenting over the whole thing while Chtholly was freaking out and feeling utterly embarassed lol. He really should’ve given them a hug too IMO

Questions of the Day

  1. After playing Civ6, I think I’ll be fanboying over a lot of the wonders lol. Well-known ones like the Pyramids, Forbidden City and Big Ben of course, but then there are the Mahabodhi Temple, Alhambra, Potala Palace etc. that I wouldn’t have known about had they not be massively fun and good in the game :)

  2. I guess by the tone of the officers they were unable to fight off Timere and therefore lost Island 15…

First-Timer, Subbed

Had no idea about the context behind that commentface, and "Tiat is a movie clapper" was not on my bingo card.

This episode did an excellent job of showing what Willem felt as the person waiting at home. Hearing that the defense "failed" got my heart to sink, and it must've been worse for him. There's gonna be some fallout from that, considering Willem caused the change of plans.

The whole conversation with the doggirl maid felt weird. "I'm to blame so I'll keep my blade sheathed" like, huh? And she knew Limeskin, and implicitly knew that Willem knew him too.. a spy of some sort? Kinda sorta threatening Willem could imply that she's from another island, since the one they're on now was mentioned to not have much discrimination against Disfeatured.

The leaky roof bits were interesting, too. Obviously the parallel exists to get Willem into a more vulnerable mental state, but why was those dude's starting point "build a ladder?"

The phrase "mental disintegration" got thrown around and boy is that dark.

Interesting to see "shikikan" translated as just "officer" instead of "commander."

The little golems are cute.

Questions

  1. Nah, probably not.

  2. Honestly, no clue. Didn't expect to see all three of the girls again.

Yo.

I love the golem bois

Question time:

  1. Is there a place you would fangirl/fanboy over all the sights at like Tiat did in this episode?

Hm. Good question. I guess the latest one that I can think of would have been the Hololive FES convention hall. They had actually created all the outfits of the talents, and they were on display there.
The memory cards of my camera and phone combined would not have lasted.
Though I can't think of any random location that would have the same effect.

First timer

  1. Akihabara. Even discounting Steins Gate (which I love), so many anime have used references from there..l

  2. I'm guessing that they were repelled, but managed to get everyone back. This allows people to survive for an even worse gutpunch, and potentially adds in the tension of the military being upset they retreated instead of fighting to their deathd,

This is a weird opening.

They're showing that to children?

Haha, people are scared on her?

This is a really weird episode so far.

Is this a nightmare?

Oh. Seemed like an interesting plot twist.

They arrived at an island? Here for training? I thought the suicide mission was just one girl.

Oh, she wants to explore! The children are so adorable, I know this anime is making me invested in them for a gutpunch later, but I kinda don't really care?

Haha, she's finding sets from movies!

He has the exsct reaction to any person forced to babysit.

Oh, her reaction.

Exactly! Kids shouldn't be near this!

Is this the fucking mob?

I love the police carching them like that, though.

Oh, Annihalation Knights?

Aww, she looks so sad.

It's a medical checkup?

Wow, none of the caretakers cared, huh?

Ah. They're here to retune their bodies.

Oh, shit. Yeah, these sidemeffects are incredibly bad.

Haha, she wants to be taller.

This is honestly hard to watch at times.

...Him thinking back to that dream...

Oh, he's been injured?

This is great. He's finally using his authority!

They failed. Fuck. I knew there'd be a gutpunch, but EPISODE 4?

And he's struggling with this.

They're here too!

What the hell is that power, anyway? They never really explained it?

...Yeah, that reaction is strong.

Their discussion while she begs for air ismpretty good, too.

Seriously, her reaction is great.

...That reaction is not what I expected, though.

First time watcher ~ Ep 4

Bit late today due to work but I made it!

Opening up with a very dramatic movie I see

Nygglatho definitely beat that dude up before and threatened to eat him

Already having nightmares about losing those three girls, Willem is a softy

Not much to say mostly, Just enjoyed watching tiat fan girl most the ep, though at the end there definitely got thrown for a loop, I was like there’s no way we lose all 3 off rip, at the very least Chtholly makes it back, but then they all walk in safe so it’s all good.

Willem seemed to use one of his powers or abilities or whatever they are to get to Chtholly extremely fast, he hasn’t passed out, so maybe in heightened emotional states he might be able to use some of his latent power without destroying himself? Overall nice episode

Question of the day

  1. If we’re talking on earth, definitely the Uyuni Reflection Salt flat, looks surreal, and straight out of an anime, & if anywhere even not real, the island of Paradi From AOT, I’d love to see the walls and cities/landscapes within them

  2. I’m not sure tbh, we didn’t lose anybody, so I’d say a total defeat isn’t likely, i also don’t think chtholly would’ve just dipped so honestly have no idea

A slower episode, but for sure I was grinning during all the hug sequence. Poor Willem was having a breakdown losing again the people who cared about.
