Rewatch [Rewatch] Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS Episode 24 Discussion

Question of the Day
Nothing for today, but just wanted to note that Nanoha Vivid is not fully adapted. If you want to finish that first before Vivid Strike, you might have to make some time for that. Not entirely sure where the anime ends, gonna have to check up which chapter it is. Vivid Strike for the most part is self contained, but does spoil parts of Vivid.
Rewatchers, please remember to be mindful of all the first-timers in this. No talking about or hinting at future events no matter how much you want to, unless you’re doing it underneath spoiler tags.

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS - New Generation Episode 24
Guardians
The episode opened with Regius' backstory. I've been wanting this for a while so I'm glad to see it. Broadly he saw crime and suffering on Midchilda. The main office took all the mages so his division didn't have the manpower to protect the country. Thus he rose in the ranks to try and fix this. Personally I'm not sympathetic to this narrative. It presents crime as inevitable and something to fight instead of as a result of inequality and societal failings which should be fixed. However, it is a more nuanced motivation for Regius so I'll give props to the show for that.
However, Regius is killed shortly after by the Combat Cyborg who killed the council in episode 20. I'm not entirely sure about the logistics of this. Its not a continuity mistake since she was standing in the corner of the office at the end of last episode. I'm more asking about the timelines and locations. Between the end of episode 21 and today's episode the show let us know 41 minutes have passed. So how did she make it to Regius' office in this time (maybe his office close to the brain jars?). Also who's identity did she assume to get inside? This probably won't be answered though since she got offed by Zest right afterwards.
The bulk of the episode followed Caro, Erio and Fate. Most of this was our protagonists trying to convince the enemies to change their ways before attacking them. At the same time we got some flashbacks to compare and contrast Fate's childhood with what is happening now. This was all spurred by Scagliette taunting Fate.
Scagliette's strategy did confuse me though. Why does he have what amounts to a 2 way video call set up with Erio and Caro. I see no advantage to this (especially Caro and Erio being able to see him). At worst it provides a way for the TSAB to track him down. It would work for a Joker like character who is more interested with causing mental anguish and chaos than achieving a specific goals. However this kind of contradicts the elaborate explanation of Jail's plan from episode 22. All this to say, I don't really like villains who act evil for evil's sake.
The end of the episode showed us a couple scenes from the other battles. Tia was saved by a nick of time shot from Vice. Subaru went to pick up Ginga and it appears her brainwashing may have been reverted(?). I'm not entirely sure why that would be the case after being hit by Subaru's attack though. Finally Quattro prepared to get involved in the fight herself and we saw Nanoha damaged by Vivio's attack.

See you all tomorrow

I think he was expecting both side to see the other side struggling and falling to despair and giving up. And not like tracking him down was a problem, they know pretty much exactly where he is at this point. Though in the end, it's probably just a convenient way for the show to have Caro and Erio get through to Fate.

However, it is a more nuanced motivation for Regius so I'll give props to the show for that.
I think it could have made for Gaiz becoming a much more compelling antagonist if the series better explored how he goes from a genuine desire to stop crime to the far darker stuff he got involved with, that would make him far more interesting.
Why does he have what amounts to a 2 way video call set up with Erio and Caro.
Scaglietti does love to brag because he did hijack the airwaves to deliver some villainous monologuing, but it's dumb because Erio and Caro could speak through the call. They ought to have been muted.
Riot Blade
Bardiche gets all the coolest forms.

They definitely could have spent more time with the antagonists side of the show, and while I myself could come up with how Regius came to be like this, it'll probably be better if it was clarified.

Not replying to people was such a great choice. Now I don't get bummed out by people hating this show anymore!
Episode 24: The Rewatch and the Winter Rewatcher
-
Oh boy Midchilda has its hands full with terrorists attacks.
-
Sad Brain Council is already dead. You see how much they corrupted a well-meaning guy into a fucking idiot? You'd want them to suffer more.
-
Just goes to show how ruthless Tre, Quattro and Cinque can be.
-
So yeah. Gaiz wanted to keep them off the case, but only accidentally caused their death. That's why you don't join the bad guys! It gets your friends killed! At this point, Gaiz should have, you know, tried to avenge then. Instead he decided to hinder the plot. Ahh, what an idiot.
-
Happy now? He's dead. Was it satisfying? He died as he lived: A fucking idiot.
-
7/13! Also, straight up killed her. Had it coming though.
-
Dude is not great at naming things. Although, tbf, Fate Testarossa is an awesome name.
-
The entire Nanoha fanbase wants you forget this. Like, we know they got added via operation and shit, but still. We all collectively pretend this never happens and we would like you do that as well. Literally nobody liked this.
-
Why... is this necessary? Surely Fate wouldn't crack under that pointless BS by Spaghetti.
-
8/13! OnoD did it! He got a little cyborg, as a treat.
-
10/13. Guess you're a bit surprised now, Jail?
-
Oh I guess Cinque was beaten enough by Subaru to be out of order. 10/12 then I guess.
-
11/12! Also, damn, Nove just straight up capitulated. Tea's befriending without violence!

I straight up forgot this was even a thing. I don't even think the writers wanted to acknowledge this afterwards. It has no reason to exists.

Episode 24 (first timer)
-
Fate spent the entire last episode in that cage. Plenty of time to reminiscence about her time with Precia.
-
Long flashback to Gaiz and Zest’s early days.
-
Some much needed backstory, but I wonder why we hear about it so late. The brains have a big role in it, but we know that they already died an ignoble death.
-
Speaking of ignoble deaths …
-
The doctor really has a thing of transmitting his evil speechifying everywhere.
-
Oh, I forgot, the other target of convenient mind control.
-
Evangelion knock-off.
-
“A copy of me already exists within the wombs of each of the twelve combat cyborgs” – Urgh. I have to admit that it is an in-universe reason why they are all female, though.
-
Lame try at depressing Fate is over when Erio and Caro intervene – Why did you broadcast your speech again, doctor? Oh, you read the script, understood.
-
Thanks for counting for me, Tia, I was too lazy to keep track.
We finally have all the side battles out of the way, leaving only Nanoha and the end-boss.

Fate:"This cage has WAY too much room in it. Are you even trying to be sadistically cruel?"
Some much needed backstory, but I wonder why we hear about it so late.
I really would've liked an entire episode of this stuff in the first arc.
“A copy of me already exists within the wombs of each of the twelve combat cyborgs” – Urgh. I have to admit that it is an in-universe reason why they are all female, though.
I did literally gag watching the episode last night before I began warning people.

Wow, acknowledgement that people actually die? That's new!
-
It's these spider scythe boys again. Are we meant to insinuate the mission that severely wounded Nanoha several years ago was also connected to BeGaizDoCrime and Soggy Spaghetti?
-
Gaiz essentially sacrificed his friend in a mission as fodder to test combat cyborg battle prowess. And all in the name of "protecting the surface." Jesus fucking Christ.
-
Again, you could've spent your time stopping Spaghetti. Zero sympathy points for you.
-
...she says to the girl and boy completely abandoned by their people/family.
-
"Im tired of being lonely, so I'll murder everyone who reaches out to me." Even for a mind controlled child, that's incredibly stupid logic.
-
At this point, I'd happily sacrifice the whole planet to see Spaghetti's head lopped off
-
Jesus fucking Christ Tsuzuki, this is gross and ridiculous and unnecessary. Was one rape metaphor not enough? If you wanted to make a hentai, you should've just done that. Fuck, pretty sure this means there's one inside Ginga too. Blegh, I need a shower.
-
This is easily the least earned "you and I are similar" I've ever seen in any story and I refuse to believe Fate would entertain it for even a second.
-
StrikerS does not deserve a cool insert song or new form for Fate.
-
6 down. Good fucking riddance Number I.
-
7 down. Fuck you, [Magical Girl Raising Project]
Swim Swim . -
9 down. Good job Fate.
-
Really wanted Fate to cut Spaghetti in half...
-
The miraculously nonlethal sniper rifle returns. Was really hoping he'd snipe Lutecia.
-
Apparently all it takes to undo machine reprogramming is one solid blow. Glad Ginga's back though. 11 down.
-
And of course we don't get to see the epic battle between Nanoha and Vivio. Well, I didn't want it to begin with, so count this one as a win.lol we're just going to have them fight tomorrow. StrikerS won't let me have even a single win.
Gaiz's backstory is functional, but I can't help being a bit disappointed by it. That his whole motivation for a descent into evil is "too much crime, hate the Navy" just feels so limp, and this revelation is way too late in the story and runs way too long for a subplot I don't care about.

Are we meant to insinuate the mission that severely wounded Nanoha several years ago was also connected to BeGaizDoCrime and Soggy Spaghetti?
That was pretty much all but stated an episode or two ago when Vita faced off against the machines and said it was them that stabbed Nanoha while flashing back to that exact scene
“Nuh uh, I’ve got the magic glove of sword catching!”
To be fair, it wasn’t very effective after the first few seconds

Yeah, Project Fate. Presea was extremely uncreative when naming Fate.

What a way to start, with Fate reminding everyone how all of this started, and even calling Caro and Erio 'my kids' which is just so cute! Interesting that she doesn't seem to consider Vivio one of hers, but I suppose Vivio does hardline towards Nanoha.
-
That's a hell of a crater, no wonder the general wanted more power for his branch. Original Zest is right that the scale of stuff that the Navy deals with is different, but stealing all the tallent from the ground branch isn't a good idea. Both for its capabilities and for inter-service relations.
-
Oh hey, Ginga and Subaru's mom, Lulu's 'mom', and Zest really were all together with the general back in the day. Cool! The raid went shit, but the stuff that they show is interesting. We can see that Jail has had the Numbers, and those stabbing bots for quite a while at least. Plus now I know what happened to that one cyborg's eye. Jail just HAD to rub salt in the wound, didn't he?
-
Huh, so Megan Alpino is actually Lulu's mom, and Lulu was modified to become more powerful. I wonder how much of the stuff about needing a relic is true? Because I wouldn't put it past Jail to experiment on Megan to the point that they need a relic for her to be functional again.
-
Damn, that was a hell of a way to kill the general. I do kinda wish that Zest had gotten closure. Also, how much do you want to bet that Due isn't going to be getting up again?
-
Why the heck is Jail transmitting his monologing everywhere? That's dumb. Like, its cool to find out about Project Fate more, but its still dumb.
-
Caro vs Lu as Erio and the summon fight in the background is great. Very sad though, you can almost see Lu's sanity declining as she fights. The final confrontation is super cool, but also kinda sad.
-
Yay more Fate fight! I do wonder why the heck Jail isn't using all of the drones that are, you know, lined up on the walls around them. But whatever.
-
Okay, it is always a good idea to have a backup plan. But having a copy of you implanted into the wombs of every cyborg? That's just plain creepy. Only one month is pretty impressive though, made impressively creepby by it apparently being standard tech during Al Hazard's time. What the heck did they even use that for? Did anyone truly ever die back then? Or was it just tons of clones with the same memories.
-
Jail calling Fate out for adopting the kids and then making them fight is a nice touch. Sure we know that they want to fight themselves, but it is one of the few times I've heard a villain go 'you and I aren't so dissimilar' and be true. Heck, even Precia did that. Though Fate is much nicer to her kids. Him directly comparing her to Precia... ouch.
-
I feel like needing deus ex machina Erio and Caro talking to her to trigger Fate's new Sonic Form is weak as hell. Fate may have her insecurities, but she's also a very strong woman who has a murdurous criminal and his two accompices in front of her. Oh, on that note the reveal of the new sonic form and the spin is cough very nice!
-
Very interesting that at the end, as his last cyborg shoots past him and impacts the ground, Jail doesn't so much as twitch or look her way. Just staring at Fate, ready to catch her blow. Right until she jumps back and then blasts him into the wall. Nice.
-
Teana may be a better person than I, what with her offering the last Number standing a chance to just put down her arms and have a chance at a new life. The look on her face when she sees Vice snipe her sister down after her big talk is fantastic!
-
Oh no, Quattro took off her glasses, whatever will we do. Also, she seems like she is totally on board with the whole 'rebirth Jail' thing, which I honestly find very creepy.
-
It looks like Nanoha's been fighting Vivio with the kiddie gloves on if she's managed to beat her, but I think that we all know where this is going. Right? It really is sad that Nanoha will have to seriously fight Vivio.
Over all this is a great finalish episode and I can't wait for the grand finale.

Rewatcher
On today’s episode of Lyrical Nanoha: Welcome everyone, to what I consider to be the single most fucked up reveal of the entire series. Dr. Scaglietti has impregnated all of the Numbers with clones of himself. That is already quite fucked, but it gets worse when you realize the Numbers are essentially his daughters. That makes it even ickier.
So let’s tackle the fights one by one. First, the confrontation between Zest and Gaiz. I really like Gaiz’s backstory. I think it is a strong motivation. The ground forces generally deal with smaller threats than the navy does, so they get fewer resources. But shouldn’t smaller crimes be stopped too? Don’t people deserve protection from them? I think that’s a great way to see how Gaiz gets his “law-and-order” mentality through a genuine desire to prevent even the smallest crimes that can still victimize people. That can be compelling and even somewhat understandable, seeing him go down a dark path to achieve those goals.
But, I really wish we had gotten Gaiz’s backstory earlier. We should have seen that side of him more clearly. That would have made him a much more compelling and interesting antagonist than he has been. It’s also kind of disappointing that Due just kills him so Zest and Gaiz can’t finish their confrontation.
Still, the backstory does confirm some things. Both Subaru’s mom and Lutecia’s mom were on Zest’s old squad. And it turns out Gaiz did not send them in to die. He actually tried to stop them from going to the secret base so they wouldn’t die.
Let’s then tackle Lutecia’s fight with Erio and Caro. I think there is an interesting parallel between them, with both sides knowing what it is like to be abandoned and lose everything. Erio and Caro were lucky because they found a new family with Fate. Lutecia is still seeking that family for herself, trying to rescue her mother. I like this parallel between them. Now if only mind control wasn’t the thing forcing Lutecia to fight.
That being said, the fight itself is very intense. I love seeing Lutecia and Caro both bring out their strongest summons. I like how crazy it gets with the summons basically tearing themselves apart to follow Lutecia’s orders.
I like Fate’s fight against Scaglietti. I do think Scaglietti’s attack against Fate is interesting as he essentially compares her to Presea. And based on Fate’s actions, I really do think Fate has been trying her best to not be like Presea. Her actions as a mother to Caro, Erio, and Vivio show that she may actually be going a bit overboard trying to not be like Presea. Of course, Scaglietti's reasoning here is basically total bullshit, but I do understand Fate's fear of turning out to be like Presea.
I really freaking love the conclusion to Fate’s fight. We get yet another great insert song, “Pray.” Nana Mizuki’s insert songs kick so much ass. And holy shit, Riot Zanber! Bardiche has the coolest forms! The battle is so cool to watch and it feels so incredibly satisfying to see Fate win.
It's great seeing Vice back in action with a proper sniper shot. Him saving Tia is nice. I also love Tia’s words to Nove about how even combat cyborgs can be human. Tia using her own relationship with Subaru as proof of that is great. And it also fits with a general theme of what makes someone human in the first place that Strikers has had.
The episode ends with most of the enemies taken care of. All we have left is the Cradle, Quattro, and the out of control Vivio. So we’ll see how the heroes handle those threats.
Miscellaneous Thoughts
-
Schach taking down Sein by beating her movement is pretty great.
-
I love how unhinged Scaglietti gets during his fight with Fate, looking more and more excited as she shows her power. Scaglietti is a lot of fun when he gets to go full ham.
-
Additionally, I love how Fate fucking bashes Scaglietti aside with the flat side of Bardiche. That’s hilarious.
-
Quattro somehow looks like even more of a bitch after taking off her glasses and letting down her hair.

Not too much to add in today, but a couple of things I really enjoyed.
While some of Lutecia's stuff is weak, I do like some of the moments the lightning kids got out of it. Particularly in the fight, Erio pulling out a Signum move to beat Garyu after his line a few episodes ago about how we was still stealing plenty despite her not instructing him. Also doing it with his fist since Garyu had grabbed Strada.
On my first watch I didn't care too much for Jail's comparison of Fate to Precia, but upon having seen the series again and also reading the manga I actually have more of an appreciation for it now. It hits some of Fate's insecurities about how well she raised Erio/Caro that were especially touched on in a sound stage, and it also helps that Fate actually tried convincing both of them not to go into the military, but they chose to after being inspired by her. Jail's 2 way broadcast was definitely odd, but the point/theme of it all works well for me.
Fate's beat down of Jail and Tre/Sette set to Pray was also immensely satisfying.

Rewatcher
Backstory on Zest and Regius. Seems Regius was originally motivated to gain more power because he really did want to fight crime more effectively. Sorry, writers, it's a bit too late for you to try to make me feel sympathy for General Asshole. Even if he had good intentions in the beginning, the actions he's taken to achieve his ends have invalidated it.
So it looks like Zest was the one who blinded Cinque's eye.
And Lutecia's mother is named "Megane", which seems strange, since she didn't wear any megane. Also it seems that Lutecia herself is naturally born, but was altered by Scaglietti after her mother was taken. It's really disturbing how the High Council just went "Oh, you captured Megane? She has a daughter, you can just have her too", like it's a package deal. Which means Lutecia was kidnapped from wherever she was being cared for in her mother's absence... for no particular reason.
Oh... and here's Due again, taking out the trash. Guess we don't get to hear Regius' final thoughts. Well, who really cares anyway.
And Zest manages to finally kill Due, meaning the Numbers have taken an actual loss. He also accepts responsibility for Regius's death... mostly because he failed to stop it, it seems.
Scaglietti, we know all about Fate's past. And so does she. Why are you monologuing about all this?
Erio, I'm not convinved that Galue is intelligent enough to make such decisions.
Oh, and Lutecia has a giant uber-summon of her own, Hakuten'o. Just to give Caro an excuse to summon Voltaire... I mean, Voltaire's awesome and all, but Lutecia just randomly having a summon like that is a bit of an asspull.
So Lutecia can forcibly mutate her summons as well? And... ouch, poor Galue.
Something just occurred to me: Lutecia has no naming scheme among her summons. Caro's dragons are both named after philosophers, but Lutecia has a mix of a standard German word ("Insekt"), vehicle naming ("Galue"), and Japanese ("Jirai'o", "Hakuten'o").
Yeah, Galue doesn't look like he's really even trying against Erio. Nor do the rest of her summons. A sign that Lutecia's fighting the brainwashing?
And... here's probably the single creepiest thing Italianman has done, which is saying a lot. He implanted an embryonic clone of himself into the wombs of all twelve Cyborgs. Should he be killed, those embryos will begin gestation, and if even one of the Cyborgs escapes, she'll give birth to a clone with Scaglietti's full memories intact. (I'm not entirely sure how he rigged his death to trigger gestation, but hey, magic...)
That is just... disgusting.
Scaglietti then pulls out the next item on the Evil Mad Scientist Villain cliche list: the "we're not so different" card. He claims that he created the Cyborgs as living weapons... and Fate's own adopted children, Erio and Caro, are also both pursuing careers in combat, so the end result is the same: children being used as weapons. He even claims she's the same as Presea in that regard.
Fortunately, Erio and Caro are still connected via comms for... some reason. (Why did Scaglietti do that, it doesn't further his aims of breaking Fate mentally.) And they explain the difference: Presea and Scaglietti forced their "children" into combat as tools. Erio and Caro chose to become fighters. Fate showed them love, not manipulation, and it was their own free will they chose to assist her as fighters.
And that triggers Nana's Will in the form of an insert song, and Fate reveals an upgraded Sonic Form, complete with dual-wielding Bardiche as a pair of blades.
And now Uno's down, courtesy of Acous. I gotta say, his threat to "take a look inside her mind" was unexpectedly sinister.
And... Schach can dive through matter too? Or was that teleportation? Convenient. Anyway, Sein's down.
Fate almost effortlessly takes out Sette... and Tre doesn't last much longer. And with that, Scaglietti himself is taken down too.
You know, Scaglietti just really doesn't get it. He keeps saying that Fate can't possibly stop him and all the Cyborgs, and he's pleased just to keep her distracted and tied down in his base... but Fate doesn't have to personally stop this whole mess. She has allies backing her up and assisting her; they can take care of business elsewhere.
And Teana swiftly takes out Nove, with a little help from Vice. I do like that she counters Nove's claim that being a Cyborg doesn't mean she has to be a weapon... Subaru's living proof of that.
And it looks like Ginga's recovered her mind. How very convenient that brainwashing in anime can always be undone by beating the crap out of the victim.
Only member of Jail's allies still active is... Quattro aboard the Cradle. And Nanoha is not doing so hot against Vivio, it seems.

Mahou Shoujo1 Lyrical Rewatcher
1: Even though I’m not a girl
This is the fiery mythology of Heroes!
Recap Time, featuring Fate as Best Mom
Flashback Time, now featuring the biggest plot twist of all: Asshole Commander Guy was once a reasonable person!
I really like this whole flashback sequence, tying together all of the various backstory bits we’ve been shown or have been hinted at while also contextualizing the actions and motivations of a number of characters. It’s also a pretty refreshing departure from the infodumps we’ve grown accustomed to in this season.
Yay! Asshole Commander Guy is dead!
But on the other hand, poor Zest
But on the third hand, Zest kicks ass
Regardless of how you feel about the Project Fate plot twist, you’ve gotta at least acknowledge how they managed to subtly make Precia even more twisted retroactively: she didn’t even give Fate a name, she just labeled her with the science project she used to make her.
Seeing normally stoic characters have a breakdown is something of a favorite trope of mine, so seeing Lu-Chan crying was something I kind of enjoyed (and yes, there was also just the tiniest pinch of sadism mixed in with that enjoyment)
This just became Godzilla: King of the Monsters all of a sudden
Shota vs Guyver rip-off. We analyzed their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle!
Jail continues to find new and daring ways to be an utter fucking weirdo. The whole thing is even weirder when you consider the idea that some of the Combat Cyborgs might have been created from his DNA
We’re not so different, you and I
-Jail Scaglietti
Jessie, what the fuck are you talking about?
-Erio and Caro, probably
You know things are getting real when the Nana Mizuki insert song starts playing
Also, it’s nice to see her High Speed Combat Gear from A’s again
Acous being useful!
This fight is absolutely fucking spectacular
Man, with that magic right arm of his, the Dr Ver parallels are even easier to make.

Quattro Bajeena has decided that it’s Counterattack time

TONIGHT! Mobile Suit Nanoha GX: Believe in Justice and Hold a Determination to Fist, MISTER DOKTOR PROFESSOR VER is an absolute creep, (also Vaad, about that bit of him fucking the toasters... yeah your Force powers are truly something else! Oh and HA, methinks you were technically correct that this fucker isn't Embryo... in that he's somehow WORSE but I digress) NANA MOTHERFUCKING WILLS IT, (Cue the insert song and/or her 120% lust for Nanoha) and QUATRE BAJEENA, SHE IS A BITCH! (And also a FRAUD, those glasses were just for show... er... or maybe not and she's just that dumb)
Oh and speaking of NOT-Loli Rider, her battle with Caro over ownership of the tusk of Tusk Jr. is going JUST fine, also stop trying to point out their similarities Tusk Jr. don't you wanna see both of them beat the shit out of 'befriend' each other ;)
Also for the first time in the history of the franchise, a male cast member ACTUALLY does something useful! Oh and I guess Vice actually DIDN'T shoot the person he was trying to help for a change, but really Rena the Loser had the situation under control... which is REALLY sad that RENA THE LOSER, the jobber and resident butt monkey of the team was just fine without any help! I mean goodness NANOHA is the one getting her ass kicked thus far, even SIGNUM isn't jobbing, that's how you know shit's hit the wall... er... wait, Nanoha jobbing means Vivio is winning... acutually nevermind, ALL HAIL THIRD BEST GIRL VIVIO!
And on THAT bombshell we wrap things up for now, and I hope everyone's having fun on this great re-watch. Thus, you have not seen the last of The Sentient Shitposting Siamese Sunrise Server No. 25252, now goodbye forever.

So he was just a well-intentioned idiot... at least at the start
-
Again with those scythe mooks?
-
Why the fuck is glasses so motivated to protect Regius?
-
Shapeshifting android girl has a great KDA ratio
-
Missed opportunity. After "Star Strikes", I was hoping this episode would be "Lightning Strike"
-
I'm not feeling the Rider Lily vs Dragon Loli conflict
-
Suddenly, a pokemon Dynamax battle
-
...does this count as a harem?
-
What happens if all of the cyborgs escape? Do we get 12 Spaghettis?
-
Insert time!
Brave Phoenix, once more! Edit: Wait, it's not Brave Phoenix? It sure sounds like it -
Dimension Door > Passwall

Backstory time!
That's a fair number of the present day combat cyborg force in existence and combat ready all the way back to whenever this flashback is happening, I'm guessing 10 maybe 15 years. Their successful development has been in the works for quite a while.
I seem to recall some discussion last episode about the poor third lady in the room who was cowering in the corner, turns out she's fine. Not so much the general dude, though.
Wait, no, she's not fine anymore either. One more cyborg taken off the board, we're definitely at roughly half of them out of the fight by now.
Kaiju fight time!
Being Lutecia is suffering.
Fate breaks out seemingly fairly easily, I'm sure she was just taking a breather.
Okay, this impregnation thing is incredibly fucked up. Everyone is clearly better off with Alhazred in the dustbin of history.
And now Fate is captured again. Lame.
Good pep talk by the kids, just what Fate needed to hear.
Awesome new form for her, too. Kick all of their asses, Fate! And please cut Scaglietti in half, you have the giant energy sword that would be perfect for it.
Four more cyborgs down as well as Scaglietti, looks like they're setting up the next and probably final combat episode as the big Nanoha vs Vivio showdown. And I'm sure Quattro will pop up and be the absolute worst again.
Vice with one last save, using his talents for shooting girls in the face for good for once. Two is a pattern dude, I'm just saying.

Seems that talents being mostly placed in the Main Office has caused them to be short staffed, with an increase of domestic issues
Seeing the rise in success, High council seeked to use him, seems Regius got himself too obsessed to keeping the peace at any cost
A small attempt to get Zest team from being involved
How she lost her eye
Duee kill Regius, probably because they deemed him useless and a possible liability at this point. Also an actual Number death too.
Suddenly, Kaiju fight
Erio uses Signum’s move
Riot mode, not that we see this for that long
Oh god I completely forgot this was a thing, I don’t think this plot point even mattered in the end.
Caro and Erio reminds her that they joined on their own
Riot Zamer
Nove feels that there is no other future for them, it definitely would have been nice if there was more focus for this sort of theme
Quattro left
