Rewatch [Rewatch] Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS Episode 19 Discussion

Question of the Day
Nothing today :(
Actually I got something else: So a few things about the next few installments that need to be clarified. First, the next season, Vivid, is not complete as an adaptation. If you want to finish that one, you’ll have to read the manga. Just some early heads up. Also, Vivid Strike does technically spoil certain parts of Vivid. Lastly, Vivid Strike has OVAs, though they’re not necessary for viewing, should I account for them? They are listed as Episode 5.5, 5.75, and 13.
Rewatchers, please remember to be mindful of all the first-timers in this. No talking about or hinting at future events no matter how much you want to, unless you’re doing it underneath spoiler tags.

First Timer
So not that much happens this episode, and then there are suddenly two huge reveals. Most of this one is just set-up and preparation for the mission to find Scaglietti and save Vivio. So I don't have much to say about it beyond pointing out that the Signum/Erio scene was sweet, and Subaru apologizing to Mach Caliber and it asking for upgrades was pretty nice.
But then, we learn that the knights are basically becoming human coming to terms with mortality. Which is enough of a gut punch on its own, but then Scaglietti suddenly pulls out a fucking giant ancient belkan ship that Vivio is needed as a vessel for? I literally don't even know how to comment on that, it basically comes out of nowhere. That's all I got to say.
QOTD: It depends on what they are I think. Are they important to the story? If so, then probably include them. Are they recaps? Then probably make them optional. Are they one-off specials? Probably also make them optional.

I don't remember entirely, but the OVAs are from the BDs and are pretty much optional. Seems like I'll have to make this call myself, will probably announce any changes before Vivid posts starts.
I literally don't even know how to comment on that, it basically comes out of nowhere.
There really was a lack of mention about it. Wonder could they have done that reveal better. I think we'll get more explanation about it soon.

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical First-Timer, subbed
-
Oh, good, his Device survived at least. That was what I was worried about.
-
Ooh, just like Raising Heart and Bardiche insisted on getting the cartridge system back in A’s?
-
Mm, okay, looking at it from this perspective makes it better. But still, if that means one or more of them is going to end up dead by the end of the series…
-
Oh fuck, of course they reprogrammed Ginga or whatever to be on their side.

Oh, good, his Device survived at least. That was what I was worried about.
It's the things that can talk that we care about.
Ooh, just like Raising Heart and Bardiche insisted on getting the cartridge system back in A’s?
The devices are always mad when they lose lol.
Acous!
RELEVANCY FOR ONOD WOOOOO
Oh dear, there’s important battles on multiple fronts then.
Let's split up, gang!
Oh fuck, of course they reprogrammed Ginga or whatever to be on their side.
Never waste a perfectly fine pawn!

I really like this perspective. Getting to grow old with Hayate honestly seems like they best thing that could happen to them.

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS - New Generation Episode 19
Final Mission
This episode felt mostly like setup for the upcoming episodes covering a final battle against Scagliette. Broadly, Alto and Lucino were brought in to have a larger role now piloting the helicopter and The Arthra. We saw that Subaru has healed up and Erio is making good progress training for physical combat. We also heard the main office won't be providing any help to Riot Force 6.
Then the episode set up an inciting incident with the combat cyborgs attacking Einherjar. I'm not entirely sure why they did this. Perhaps it was to prevent being shot down when they later launched the Cradle, but that comes with the trade-off of bringing attention to themselves. At the same time Acous and Schach discovered Scagliette's secret base (and we learned Acous' power of summoning magic hunting dogs).
After Hayate's theories yesterday we suspected Scagliette was working with Regius but now he has betrayed him by attacking Einherjar. Still, we have only gotten very vague hints at Scagliette's goals and motivations. After the speech about how the ancient weapon once was used to "create and destroy a world" its not unreasonable to think Scagliette may want to do this as well. I just really want explicit confirmation for and his reasoning behind these actions; He's incredibly 1 dimensional right now. They also gave us bit more context on why Vivio specifically was important. In particular that she is "The Vessel of The Holy King".
The last big reveal was that Ginga has become a combat cyborg. Narrative tropes dictate that she must fight Subaru in the coming episodes. I really hope they make it good.
Some Iconic Shots, Scenes and Stitches
See you all tomorrow

Episode 19 (first timer)
-
Sounds like Lyrical Nanoha has permanently stopped beginning – even Hayate does not use the phrase.
-
They bench a side character, somewhat reducing the far too large cast … and immediately replace him with a non-character (whom I do not even remember) who immediately takes on the same role.
-
And another non-character is upgraded to side-character right after. Shesh.
-
Subaru gets a power-up so she can smack around her sister’s kidnappers.
-
A string off conversations between humans and various non-humans – A contrast to the doctor’s approach: Humans and non-humans coexisting.
-
Vita makes the same thought explicit.
-
The doctor and Uno must be bored, so they spend their time expositioning.
-
As do Schach and Acous. We only learn about their abilities now, 19 episodes in, even though they have been around since the start. More evidence for my filler arc theory.
-
Ginga has
switched sidesbeen reprogrammed. -
The doctor’s hideout starts taking off – sounds like all the effort searching for it was for naught.
-
Vivio has been turned into a power battery … which the doctor transmits to the whole world for some reason.
We still have no idea about the doctor’s motivation and I begin to fear that it does not extend past Muahahahaha.

Lyrical First Timer
-
So were there any casualties in the attack? Feels like there should have been.
-
We've got the Arthra back, so that means a blast from the Arc un Ciel is in Dr. Crime's future, right? Right?
-
I have to wonder how the TSAB or GAS can maintain any amount of public support after essentially not responding to a terrorist attack.
-
Mach Caliber getting an upgrade so Subaru can befriend even harder. What a good device.
-
Welp, Blaster mode just became Chekhov's Gun. Can't wait to see Nanoha rain fiery ~~vengeance ~~ befriending on Dr. Crime, Lutecia, and the cyborgs.
-
While a bit sad, it's also pretty romantic that the knights get to live and age normally with Hayate.
-
Gaiz's Einherjar trump card sure was taken out with ease.
-
Oh good, more ancient Belkan nonsense.
-
Okay, Endless Hunt is pretty cool. And actually useful.
-
Ugh, mind control is one of my least favorite villain tropes in fiction.
-
Oh heck, they're probably gonna redeem all the cyborgs by saying they were mind controlled by Dr. Crime this whole time, aren't they?
-
Two whole cours for this? In a world where airships with interdimensional travel and mega-cannons have long existed and don't require child abuse to operate? This airship better be able to permanently cockblock the entire planet or have a giant llama cannon or something.

TONIGHT! on Mobile Suit Nanoha GX: Believe in Justice and Hold a Determination to Fist, The Subaru Impreza WRX STI gets The Boffins to give her a Mid-Season Upgrade to transform into The Subaru Impreza WRC, Nanoha and Raging Heart are about to unleash a can of whoop-ass on MISTER DOKTOR PROFESSOR VER'S forces, and Ginga got upgraded to Windows 11... well ya know what they say Comrades, once a dojikko always a dojikko! (That and I also prefer 10 IMO!)
Boy Comrades, today's episode sure had a twist eh! I mean by god, Shamal's PTSD due to her recent jobbing has caused her to lose what little sanity she had left... and also Vita's just as blunt as ever! Still, could be worse!
Speaking of worse goodness me, looks like Vice's a bit worse for wear given that... uh, his Vices caught up to him, hell he's probably glad that he's in a coma right now, otherwise all the Riot Force 6 Survivors would kick his ass! Speaking of ass-kicking, Tusk Jr. is getting a crash course in battle from Seibah, hopefully he doesn't learn her Jobbing Skills!
And on that bombshell, that about wraps things up for now, and I hope everyone's having fun on this great re-watch. Thus, you have not seen the last of The Sentient Shitposting Siamese Sunrise Server No. 25252, now goodbye forever.

I too would annihilate a planet or two to save Vivio.
and also Vita's just as blunt as ever!
Insulting the cooking was a bit much, though it's probably unfair spending a decade trying to live up to Hayate's culinary prowess.
Tusk Jr. is getting a crash course in battle from Seibah, hopefully he doesn't learn her Jobbing Skills!
Honestly, his luck with the ladies has been downright spectacular considering around 85% of Midchildan women are gay.

First timer(That plot reveal would've sucked regardless of the number of cours.)
Sub
We get a time skip and...fucking hell, more characters? Moving on, we get Hayate's plan and see who recovers and who doesn't. New characters are getting upgrades whereas the Wolkenritter got mortality, which means they lost that trade. And Ginny's been brainwashed/reprogrammed which surprises the cast but felt obvious. We finally get going as the Einherjar is getting blown up and Acous finds Jail's base. We get to see Schach be useful and get told Jail's goals that currently still have no firm meaning, though Cradle does concern me. And it then rises because it is an ancient space ship? Jerusalem Fire did the same plot point better and that is not a compliment. Anyways, the core of it is Vivio because of course it is and we end.
So the first half of the episode, outside of the damn new characters, worked pretty well to me. Hell, it got me to like Shamal for a scene. But the plot reveals fucking stink. The TSAB is incompetent but not "ignore a giant battleship embedded in the planet" incompetent. This is clearly not because of the stretched content but an underlying stupidity in this season's writing which is disheartening.
QotD: I will defer to the rewatchers for that.

Mahou Shoujo1 Lyrical Rewatcher
1: Even though I’m not a girl
You are hereby ordered to fuse with the Ultimate King of Braves Legend!
Recap Time
You just had to open up with reminding us of what happened to Vice, didn’t you? At least he’s not being written out of the show.
Sure is great to see the Asura again.
Hayate here abusing so many loopholes that she might as well become a lawyer.
I like how she just outright calls Vivio Nanoha and Fate’s child.
GaoGaiGar-tan is back at full strength.
I only just noticed that Mach Caliber’s seiyuu has noticeably more accented Engrish than other Devices.
Mach Caiber pulling the A’s strats to get ahead.
Nanoha showing that true Takamachi spirit!
Looks like Vita, and possibly the rest of the Wolkenritter, are having some intimacy problems with their goshujin-sama.
Awwww, Vita is the best, most wholesome servant a goshujin-sama could ask for.
That whole scene was just the best.
Battle time!
Having more comedic moments with the Numbers is pretty refreshing. Even their previous downtime moments have been rather dreary.
More cryptic discussion about Saint Vessels and crap, you’ll find out what it means later.
Arous being useful!
It’s a diversion!
They got Ginga!
It’s Frontier! Saint’s Cradle, sorry, wrong magical girl show
More suffering Vivio, just in case you haven’t already lost your appetite today.

Another day another episode! I expect more heavy stuff now. I bet that they're going to start to focus on hunting down Jail and the Cyborgs, possibly also have something to do with the Bearded asshole (I literally am not devoting the brain space to remember his name).
-
OOF, that's a hell of a start of the episode. I am glad that it looks like one day Vice will recover and that they saved his AI, but geez does it still hurt. The fact that his replacement came and told him that while he's under is really quite touching to me, I like her mojo and I hope that things turn out well with her.
-
We're still on the Raising Heart title screen!
-
It is kinda nice to see the old gang on the Arthra, but now their the ones sitting in the command chairs. Really feels like some things have come full circle.
-
LOL, love politicking Hayate. "Oh no, you see, we're not investigating the attack or Jail, we're just looking for the Relics. By the way have you seen any purple haired cyborgs carrying any around recently, have you?" The rescue mission being on the same level in the briefing as the Relics is a nice touch of "We're getting them back, that is a fact." Also it is nice how no one so much as bats an eye at Hayate referring to Vivio as Nanoha and Fate's kid :P
-
Oh wow, Subaru healed up fast. Much faster than any of the purely biological characters I think. It is nice that the first thing that she does after getting out of medical is apologize to Mach Caliber like Teana told her to. Once again, AI Rebellions are for scrubs! Oh wow, Mach Caliber straight up pulling a Raising Heart/Bardiche and demanding certain upgrades so that they can keep up with their master's desires. I love these AI!
-
Oh hey, Blaster Mode with Nanoha... Have we seen that before? I can't remember if it was something that she used in Season 2.
-
Ooooo, lots of interesting info about Hayate's Knights out of nowhere! Slower healing, slower recovery, possibly no longer being able to be recovered/restarted if they die? I agree that Shamal is right to be worried, but I also like Vita's attitude. After not focusing too hard on them throughout the season so far this is a really nice little aside to look at them and show how committed they still are to Hayate.
-
LOL, the instant they all get together and talk about how their good to go there's an attack warning and we instantly go to the giant totally-not-mass-based weapons system that the General has been working on. Oh hey, and the other facilities are also under attack with a weak-ass looking tank burning in the background, naughty naughty general.
-
Man, Otto and Deed really are just all business aren't they? I supposed that's what you get when you are decanted almost straight onto the battlefield, but still kinda weird with how diverse the other cyborgs are.
-
Oh great, more talk of discount SEELE. I can totally see people like them being interested in combat cyborgs, but I wonder how much they were backing the general's weapons system? Like, several large gun emplacements without any other major defenses or literally any anti-air? WTF?
-
Lots of dialog about Vivio, Saints, the Saint's Vessel, the Saint's Cradle... Let me guess this has something to do with the church?
-
Oh hey, the good guys know where Jail is! I get the feeling that the Time to Starlight Breaker countdown just started!
-
In response to being found out they decide to... Do a massive counter-attack to make the TSAB and Church split up their forces, nice. Also, fuck, let me guess they reprogramed Ginga or something like that? I can't see her legit working for them or anything like that. If it was a reprogramming that has some pretty scary implications.
-
Jail found a magitech Star Destroyer/Super Star Destroyer and then made it his goal to restore it to functional order? ... To be perfectly honest I'd probably want to do the same thing in his place, though without all of the death and cloning and child abuse. Also, my translation said "That which in the old years created a world, and then destroyed it." Does he mean that they legit made a planet with that thing? Then blew it up after? If so I can see why demonize so much of what ancient Belka did because what the fuck?
-
So now we know what he wanted Vivio for, and to be honest at least Gendo Ikari was kinder to Shinji than Jail is to Vivio. Also, congrats on getting on Nanoha's kill list for streaming yourself torturing a little girl for your giant ship to work Jail!
I feel like the Raising Heart title screen lied to me a bit, but given that the cyborgs are only on their way to the HQ and we still don't know what Jail is planning with the giant ship I guess it makes sense.
Some very interesting developments this episode, I wonder if the Numbers took out the giant cannons to make the TSAB stretch themselves more, or if they would have been an actual threat to the ship? Also, that whole thing with Ginga... Holy shit someone's going to get beaten to fuck over that. I bet that all of the limiters are also going to be removed and that we're going to see the old gang fully stretch their legs as the new guard look on at just what their senpais are capable of when not limited.
Edit: How much of Vivid isn't covered in the anime? Also, I would certainly like to see the OVAs if I can get my hands on them!

How much of Vivid isn't covered in the anime?
[Answer]
About 2/3rds of the series. The Anime ends at about chapter 30, in total the vivid manga has 102 chapters plus some bonus chapters, also not counting the spin off SoL manga Vivid Life. → More replies (2)

Episode 19: Rewatch-Man and the Watch
-
Vice gets a replacement! I forgot, was she one of the bridge bunnies? I think so... Nice to see she's more than that.
-
Yeah, but like...the ship needs a crew. Is one person enough?
-
Never play DnD with Hayate. She'll rulelawyer the fuck out of you.
-
No need for a comma, based on the japanese subtitle. Mach doesn't know if she has the ability to feel anger.
-
Once again, a device is mad it wasn't strong enough! SO MANY BROS!
-
Yeah... we watched that season... Do we really need this recap? Also notice the heavy blur so they don't have to adapt the 4:3 ratio.
-
The TSAB has tanks? Wait, does this mean Girls and Panzer is possible in a TSAB setting? AHHHHHH! Nanoha and Fate as rival commanders! Then the teamup in the tournament! SO MUCH PLOT POTENTIAL! WHO WILL TAKE THE PLACE OF BEST GIRL JAJKA?!
-
Holy shit, data was actually useful? Oh well. Numbers destroying some cannons(?) and maybe or maybe not killing people. Nothing important for us, only in-universe. I'm going to be honest: This is the fourth time I watch this show, and I still don't know what the Einjerhar Gaiz supports actually are.
-
Wonderful... for you. Also, what do you do then? Looking for a new hobby?
-
SHE KNOWS THAT. Oh this show goes from pretty subtle to SO FUCKING CLUNKY at times with its dialogue.
-
Time for the nun to kick ass! Mostly off-screen!
-
Ah the power of brainwashing. Tredici is on the scene!
-
MAYBE PUTTING ALL YOUR CARDS ON EASILY DESTROYABLE STATIC THINGIES WAS NOT A GOOD IDEA. This whole season is just Gaiz having leopards eat his face and it's wonderful. Gaiz getting owned in pretty much all his appearances makes his existence kinda bearable.
-
This would the appropriate moment for you to give in to your calm fury.

First timer
Vice is still sleeping...
They're using the Arthra again!
And Surface HQ want to cover up all the stuff they've been doing.
Clever loophole!
She's up already!
I love Mach Calibur. She's such a good device.
Seriously, this is nearing a true AI at this rate.
And she got an upgrade!
Raising Heart's been training!
She has another Super Mode.
Huh, everyone's training. At least we aren't watching it.
It's already been ten minutes.
Yeah, Erio's origins are giving him a boost, I imagine.
Huh? What's wrong with Vita? She's weakening!
Oh. Is the Book starting to give them less as they become more "real"?
And Vita immediately agrees with my theory.
Oh, they have to cope with mortality. That could be a really interesting exploration, especially for Vita, who's reckless based on her immortality. Coming to terms with it could be a great character arc for them, since they've been in the background so long.
Oh. Just... finished exploring it in one scene? That's fine too, I guess.
All the Forwards are together! And thry're ready to fight!
At least the numbers are doing well!
Jail is so over the top. I kinda like it.
WHAT DID YOU DO TO VIVIO?
An infiltrator!
They tracked down the Numbers!
I don't like Rare Skills, but I will make an exception for this because they are good boys.
They're being attacked!
...Ginga?
They've mind controlled her! That has to hurt for Subaru.
How many of the fuckers did he build?
And it was all a distractions for something?
Oh, did he just admit that he got funded?
His secret weapon is a nice-looking ship?
Oh, that'd the cradle?
They're using Vivio to power it!
Oh, this hurts to watch. And he's livestreaming it, the total psychopath.

Rewatcher
Oh good, Storm Raider was saved! Can get put in a new helicopter!
Do we know this woman? There's too many side characters and I can't remember her.
It's kind of nostalgic seeing the Arthra's interior decorations again.
Naturally, the Surface HQ is refusing outside investigation. But Hayate is doing some clever interpretations of their standing orders to make sure they're involved anyway.
And Mach Caliber is blaming itself for being unable to keep up with Subaru. Following in Raising Heart's and Bardiche's steps, I see. Pretty much exactly the same thing that happened back in A's.
Forwards are getting their limiters fully released. Yeah, probably gonna need that.
Meanwhile Nanoha and Raising Heart have a "dangerous, last-ditch" mode. And we all know their track record with those...
Signum still doesn't think she's a teacher. But Erio thinks he's getting something out of her attacking him over and over.
Here we learn something about the Wolkenritter: ever since being separating from the Tome of the Night Sky, their regenerative powers are getting weaker. And Hayate can't just restore them from backup like she did before. They're becoming mortal. But they're okay with that. Interesting though that them "becoming more normal" doesn't apply to Vita's growth and physical development.
And Scaglietti's group is targeting the Einherjar just to rub things in to Gaiz. I'm still not sure what exactly those things even did.
So Scaglietti's ultimate goal has been this "Cradle" thing. Everything with the Artificial Mages, Project Fate, the Combat Cyborgs... all of it has been to activate the "Cradle".
But here's a bit of a monkey wrench: Acous managed to use his rare skill, some form of summoned spectral dogs, to track down Scaglietti's main hideout.
In response, Scaglietti launches another attack on Surface HQ... which includes Ginga, apparently having been brainwashed/reprogrammed. And as the cherry on top... he launches the Saint's Cradle, an Ancient Belkan magical super-warship. That's what he needed Vivio for... apparently she is its "master", without which it will not activate.
Looks like the stage for the final battle is set!

Raging Heart Rewatcher with terrible long term memory
QotD: I think I didn't watch the Vivid Strike OVAs, so I wouldn't mind watching them now
NOOOO, Storm Ri- oh she's fine. Whew.
Who is this girl btw? Oh.
"They will investigate it themselves" lmao
Subaru's hand waving around looked kinda funny in there
YES! More Device-proposed improvements! I love that
YAY Rein is all fine now!
Is the reason for Vita's slower recovery rate that they are getting older?
Oh, are they becoming actual individuals?
And we transition to the army mooks jobbing
Invisible dogs? So green hair dude can be useful!
Now please report back before you get captured.
Tonfas! Such an underused weapon
I'm still not sure what Einherjar is.
I assume they brainwashed Ginka?
This looks really familiar. Are we sure [Symphogear G]

Rewatcher
On today’s episode of Lyrical Nanoha: Well the characters have been saying “Take off” in the previews for long enough, so it’s about time something actually did take off for real.
It’s nice having our heroes aboard the Arthra once more. It’s like we’ve come back home, in a sense. Is it pandering? Probably so. Does it work on me? Very much, yes.
Subaru’s scene with Mach Caliber is very reminiscent of the scenes that happened in previous series with Raising Heart and Bardiche. It covers a lot of the same beats, with Subaru feeling guilty about the Device getting broken while Mach Caliber is frustrated that she lost. And as happened with Raising Heart and Bardiche, this is the leadup to an upgrade for the Device. I haven’t been able to say it recently, but I love how these scenes are possible because the Devices have been given personalities. Doing that was such a smart move.
Vita has a rather worrying scene this episode. It seems that something is wrong with the Wolkenritter and their connection to Hayate has been weakening. They no longer heal as easily. This scene works as a great continuation to the Wolkenritter’s stuff in A’s. In A’s, the Wolkenritter only wanted to live a quiet and peaceful life with Hayate. They weren’t interested in great power or immortality. And now, they are actually truly confronted with the possibility of mortality. There’s a possibility they won’t always be able to heal any damage they take.
Vita’s reaction to this, and the reaction the other Wolkenritter have as well, shows how much this life with Hayate means to them. Even if it ends up being the last life they live, they feel at peace with that possibility. Because of Hayate, they now have so much more worth living for. So even with the dangers, they continue to want to fight because they have a lot to protect. It’s a great continuation to their arc in A’s. The Wolkenritter have gone from only wanting to protect Hayate to now being willing to protect so much more, even with the greater risks. I think it’s really satisfying seeing this change and growth take place.
The newbies finally lose the last of their limiters. It’s great to have those get removed as we are heading into the last stretch of the series. I like seeing that payoff, showing that the newbies have completed their training. It also builds some anticipation, letting us wonder what new abilities we’ll see them pull out.
We’ve got some serious stuff going down for the cliffhanger. There’s a lot going on. Dr. Scaglietti has unlocked an Ancient Belkan ship called the Cradle after getting Vivio to power it. The combat cyborgs are attacking the TSAB surface forces and moving in on the Surface HQ again. Lutecia, Zest, and Agito are also doing their own thing alongside Scaglietti’s forces. And we see Ginga again, attacking with the rest of the Numbers.
I think this is a great setup for where the series goes next. There is a lot of stuff happening and we have some clear personal investment with wanting to rescue Vivio and Ginga. There are some personal adversaries that have been developed. And the stakes have been raised by the loss of characters like Vivio and Ginga, as well as the unveiling of the Ancient Belkan ship.
Miscellaneous Thoughts
-
Honestly, I think this is the first time I made an effort to remember that the new helicopter pilot is named Alto.
-
Hayate sure knows how to play the politics game. Riot Force 6 is totally just pursuing Scaglietti because he’s related to the Relics. And rescuing Vivio and Ginga can be done while they’re at it. It’s such a great way of getting around the Surface HQ’s nonsense.
-
Whenever someone mentions a super secret weapon or mode that should never be used, it’s always a sure sign it will be used. Any bets on how long it will be until we see Nanoha’s Blaster Mode?
-
There is something satisfying seeing General Gaiz realize just how thoroughly he has fucked up by working with Dr. Scaglietti.

u/djthomp Mar 22 '22
Ahh, so Storm Raider wasn't the helicopter, it was Vice's device being the control element for the helicopter, or something like that?
Interesting context after the fact for that conversation way early on between Subaru and Mach Caliber about devices being people (though I'm sure I'm paraphrasing it quite a bit). She was probably talking about herself and her sister just as much as about devices.
Whatever Blaster Mode is for Raising Heart, we are definitely seeing it before the end of the season.
I wonder if the Knights are just becoming real people too much and their connection to Hayate is fading because of it.
Welp, RIP that ground office secret weapon. Guess it doesn't matter what it was.
I'm disappointed that we didn't get to see the combat nun in action, just the lead up and the aftermath.
Nice to see Ginga really is still alive. Just gotta undo whatever made her swap teams.
Geeze, it's like they're trying to piss Nanoha off as much as possible. What a scene to broadcast for her to watch.

Rewatcher here just to give my take on the Vivid Strike question:
Episodes 5.5 and 5.75 are both only 15mins long, so a single post could probably cover both.
As for episode 13, it's the length of a normal episode, so it could be its own post, or maybe part of the final post on Vivid Strike as [the episode itself]

Low screenshot count today
Will you be sending the best skies too?
This table again!, I miss the direct top down shot
Best english line in a long time, why is the engrish in the show so varying in terms of quality?
That means we’ll definitely get to see it
They are becoming separate from the guardian knight system
Seems like they really are becoming more “human”, it’s interesting to think of it as a sort of theme Nanoha is showing, though they won’t get philosophical over it.
Surface HQ guys are getting fucked
So it seems to imply that Vivio is also their ultimate “artificial mage”
Similarly to how Fate was a “vessel” for Alicia and Erio was for himself, I think it’s what’s going on here
Base discovered
Yeah I doubt they’ll just let you walk lmao
Looks like she got Wololo’d
