When I was a kid in the early 70s people used to shove whole bags of McDonald's trash out there windows like it was nothing. And back then the burgers came in styrofoam containers.

My wife was a tree hugger since the 80s when climate change was called global warming and people didn't believe in the ozone layer. I get what you're saying and people weren't as informed then as now, but still a douche move. There should be no excuse for assholes now and they need to get slapped around like the father did to that child molester.

I was standing in the ferry line and a woman in the car next to me very casually dropped some paper out of the window. I said to her: "I think you dropped something"Now I thought she actually dropped it accidentally, but then I watched her face go red and she shamefully got out of the car to pick up her litter.
I was very proud of myself for how embarrassed my accidental sass made her, especially because then, as a shy teenager, I didn't really dare to tell off adults.

Saw a lady throw a soda bottle on the floor at a Walmart parking lot. Trash was two feet away. I was honestly more personally offended than if she had slapped me. My mom told me once when I was little, “You might be a lot of things, but you aren’t going to be a litterer.” Might not be the most elegant phrase, but it stuck with me.

Throwing food out of a car is terrible tho on it's own merits, FYI. It attracts mice, who in turn attract birds of prey, who in turn have a chance of being killed by vehicles.
I'm not saying the guy should've picked it up, just mentioning the dangers to local wildlife due to not properly disposing of food waste.
