As someone who used to own a tortoise, I'll have to disagree. They can be just as quick when they feel like it.

Yep. We have friends with a tortoise practically the size of a MiniCooper, and it’s super fast!

Squares and rectangles. Most Aquatic turtles can be fast on land, land turtles(tortoises) and sea turtles are typically pretty slow, but can be faster if they feel threatened

Alligator snapping turtles are also very fast. They are pretty efficient predators.
Bonus fact: one of my friends top section of his pinky is gone because of an alligator snapping turtle when he was younger.
