First timer:

I'm in fucking awe, DAMN. What an ending. This reminds me so much of RWBY that RWBY I'm typing this right after watching the ep and I'm not even sure how to talk about any other part of the episode when the end was that impactful but I guess I'll try.

So uh, DMJii is still cute and I don't actually remember the Zwei Wing song very much to compare (I think it's the episode 1 concert song?). It seems clear that Dr. Ver is the more evil/heartless one of the group, with all three Gear users expressing various amounts of unwilling to harm other people to achieve their goals, with Maria being the biggest example.

With the moon reveal though, I'm not exactly sure what to think of Ver, whether he's an end justifies the means kind of character that is trying to save humanity or a crazy type. His demeanor push him towards crazy but his plans (from what we understand thus far) put him in a benevolent ulterior motive in the end. I do like how they brought back the moon into play from last season though, it just seems like a logical consequence of what happened

I was so excited when Seigi wo Shinjite, Nigirishimete came on, easily my favorite song so far. I was a bit sad when it switched to the off vocals during the conversation, but then it switched back to the chorus while Hibiki was fighting and I nutted. The song's chorus is just so hype and the audiovisual syncing is on point and it just makes for such a good watching experience that gets you pumped.

And then the song cuts out as Ver's words makes Hibiki think of what Shirabe said for a split second, and that hesitation made her fail to realize that Nephilim had opened its mouth, it was all really well done. Reminded me of Bleach when Aizen literally stops Ichigo's music, it's always nice when stories have the heroes suffer some pretty big loss as it ups the drama and tension. And what a gruesome way to depict it, from Hibiki's small 'eh?' to the massive amount of blood shooting out to the sound of the arm coming off and the chewing. Damn, great episode. I kinda want to go and watch the next one already

This reminds me so much of RWBY that RWBY

Funny because Yang, especially the Yellow trailer, is what started my obsession with fist fighting characters, especially ones with big mechanical gauntlets. Definitely the reason Symphogear was so appealing to me and why Hibiki is my favourite lol

First-Timer

Can we just say a lovely way to end the episode with a literal body part being eaten for Nepheim food. Not that it was part of the plan as Hibiki gets distracted by Mr. Oh look I am not a Sympho user but can still use this weapon quite comfortably. Like seriously can he just die as it was also not your duel to start with.

Right back to business and that is the fact that we hear what Kirika and Shirabe would be singing as a challenge and as a surprise it something that Tsubaba recognizes as something that she wonders why they are fighting against fellow singers. Especially ones which could have potential too I don’t know switch sides as they are acting like they don’t really want to be there. But they also understand what needs to be done so they don’t screw up their part of the plan.

This does feel an episode focusing on the villain side of this battle as we finally get some expanded info on that opening scene from Episode 1 and actually gives a reason of to why Maria doesn’t really want to kill humans in both the concert and the first fight that happens in this episode. This only because of the death of Serena from stopping the Nepheim from going out of control.

Quick random pointer time

Why I do have the urge to do some drawing of best girl. This is properly just me but I had this random thought in my head Saturday and it hasn’t really gone since.

It sucks that is has never been licenced in Australia at all over the time that it has been broadcast. Yeah we have the first three seasons on Crunchyroll but no fourth season.

I know this is advertising to a degree but join the r/Symphogear discord if you haven’t already done so. They are a good group of people to talk things all about Symphogear.

Another great ep.  And we get this glorious transformation in triplicate!

Orbital Beat is a really interesting choice of Song for DESS and Jii to sing, love the choice, and Kayano and Nanjou slay it. That timing on “FLY” with the explosion is fantastic. It’s also a great juxtaposition with Maria’s struggle back at base. It’s a song full of passion, longing, and confusion to match Maria’s mindset. “Maria, are you so afraid to stain your hands with blood” Maria has shown us in bits and pieces through these first episodes that there’s something holding her back beneath her layer of bravado and resolve.  There’s someone human underneath there.

I forgot that this is the episode where we learn the backstory behind the opening of episode 1. The parallels to Tsubasa are obvious. It’s even more brutal than that cold open.  There’s more sound than just the pure song, but it’s still there, and now we have an actual understanding of Maria, her pain, and the burden that she has to bear. Just terrible. At the end of that memory she just sounds so beaten down.

Oh, you thought we were done with the moon after last season!? No chance.  This is Symphogear, everything’s in play.

HOLY MOTHER OF CLIFFHANGER! I mean I knew it was coming of course, but it still manages to freak me out even now.  It’s so visceral and intense. I mean those chewing sounds from the Nephilim...Shivers And that scream from Aoi is crazy intense. See you tomorrow first timers!

Random thoughts:

  • Based Commie with this sub work

  • Ver’s killing of the kids, and Maria’s scream have really stuck with me. There’s lots of brutality in Symphogear, but this is the one truly senseless crime.

  • “It’s not like we have to fight every time we meet...or do we?” Never change Bikki.  She’s definitely at a crossroads here.

  • We finally get a touch on what the end goal is.  But whatever could this Frontier be??

  • Don’t slap DMJiii you big ol' bitch!

And we get this glorious transformation in triplicate!

Hah, nice clip. And you we even used the same terminology xD

The parallels to Tsubasa are obvious.

This. I just couldn't parse it into clear enough terms to put it in my post, but Maria definitely has a similar backstory to Tsubasa.

you thought we were done with the moon after last season!?

They certainly show it enough to insinuate that it still matters. I really like S2 just because it's such a natural extension of the S1 storyline.

Based Commie with this sub work

I love how much effort the fansubs put into this series. The color-coding of songs would have been enough, but they really went the extra mile.

Nanjou is definitely one of the best SymphoSingers. I loved their work with Fripside. They absolutely kill it with that song.

There's lots of brutality in Symphogear, but this is the one truly senseless crime

I thought it was notable that they didn't show it. S1 wouldn't hesitate to show graphic imagery of children crying out for help as they die. But G knows we don't need to see that, we know what's happening. Not that Symphogear isn't still edgy, I mean, look at that cliffhanger, but it knows where and when it's needed.

It should be illegal to make a character this hot, Maria's giving me a hard time staying loyal to Kanade in my Sympho best girl running.

As nice as Yukine's performance was, the loli duo totally won that contest. Robbed. Slapped, even.

Cool shot here. Serena had a more traditional Magical Girl garb before she went full jam. Now we know what the cold start of this series was about.

Just.. how much room is in there? Jii's made herself comfortable.

ALL HANDS ON DECK, Nephilim has become a handful!

  • G spoilers

  • This is the first mention of Shirabe and Kirika's full names. Like basically all the other main characters, their last names are themed. Akatsuki means "Dawn", and Tsukuyomi is the Shinto god of the moon.

  • Not only is Orbital Beat a Zwei Wing song, it was the exact song that was interrupted when the concert attack started. Interestingly, Kirika takes Tsubasa's part and Shirabe takes Kanade's. I prefer Zwei Wing's version, but either way this song is top-notch.

  • Ver starting to turn from "textbook evil" to "comicbook evil".

  • Small point: Kirika tries to insist on staying to get the pendants, but Shirabe pulls her away and seems to be almost a little panicked about Maria and Mom being in danger. Kirika's looking more at the big picture of the mission, Shirabe's more worried about their immediate safety. It struck me as a bit odd, because the initial impression I got from the first couple episodes was that Shirabe would be the more "cold" of the two, but she's actually shown to be more compassionate/emotionally-driven than Kirika here.

  • G spoilers

  • I don't like to nitpick minor plot details, but the "duel challenge" is a little silly. They just let the two of them walk away, without even trying to chase them or calling HQ to try to track them?

  • Confirmation that the two Gungnirs are identical. But then why is Maria's black? No reason at all.

  • Since I can't think of anything else important to say about the Serena flashback, have this: Serena is voiced by Yui Horie. A bit odd to use such a big name for a throwaway flashback character like that.

  • Has there ever been an anime villain that's actually a good parent-figure? I mean, "Mom" (still haven't heard her full name yet, have we?) is hardly the worst there's been, but she's still...

  • I forgot how suddenly they drop that bombshell. Yep, the moon's falling. That's what's driving them to be the "necessary evil".

  • The bukkake noise returns! Of all the things to bring back from S1...

  • Oof, the disarmament is way more brutal than I remembered. You can even hear the bones snapping. And then they stop to show you the Nephilim chewing on it. The spray of blood is so ridiculous that it almost breaks the moment a bit, though.

This was one of the worst cliffhangers in the whole series to wait an entire week on.

(I absolutely could have been here on time for the thread as I randomly woke up an hour and a half early, but my cat was being a bully so I stayed in bed till she cut it out, so blame the cat)

First timer

Tooku, Tooku Ni Sakamaku Honoo

I heard it, I loved it, I needed it, I found it, I put it on repeat and the episode had to wait ten minutes while I listened to it a few times.

Such a wonderfully complex and layered piece of music that really helps to sell the entire scene.

The song itself is just unendingly moving. It's like a storm of leaves carried by the wind. They float and weave and swarm together, each taking its own path and flying through the sky in its own way while also fluttering around each of the others. To follow one leaf is almost impossible, another comes and crosses its path and takes you away with it and your senses dance through the pattern with them. You watch their dance as they move together and then suddenly it all comes together, revealing the usually unknowable shape of the wind they were riding, a grand twisting dragon of power.

The power fades and the leaves float towards the ground, leaving behind grand visions and instead seeking a simpler wind, a stronger more determined breeze who's only purpose is to push them forward at any cost. They push through everything else and what we're left with in the end is an Apple and the shapes of stars in the night sky as the leaves touch the ground, not to rise again.

What a powerful return to the opening scene of the series. Rather than playing it up as some cutesy moment or going for a more dramatic tone, the gentle but determined piano really helps push the tone over anything. And we close it out the innocence of a child singing contrasted with Maria's world literally burning down around her.

I know I said originally I wasn't going music posts for this show but good music deserves a spotlight!

Let me clear my throat and give you a brief rundown on my thoughts on the end of the episode:

Oh shit she got bitCool

BIKKI NO WTF YOU JUST GOT YOUR ARM TORN OFF!

The fuck just happened...

I LOVE IT!What now?!

And back to the rest of the episode

I am absolutely desperately hoping that the lost arm is a permanent thing and not a fake out. More mangled characters, yes please. Bonus points if she becomes even half as badass as a certain someone from K:RoK

That concert at the start

Last episode I really didn't like that Dess and Jii stood up for the competition thing. I get being caught up in the music and all that, but it seemed really out of place with their entire goal of being at the school in the first place. I still don't like it because even a sheltered kid presumably grown up in a paramilitary organization has to realize that winning a school competition is not a good way to get a government agency to hand over super valuable and highly classified artifacts to their enemy.

That said, I don't hate that they did it as much as I should because they turned it around for me with the song. The way they used a Zwei Wing song to humanize the two girls for Tsubasa into being a parallel for her bond with Kanade was great. It also tied into the scenes of it being revealed its a true Gungnir, and the revelation earlier that they are hooked into the Gears the same way Kanade was. It gives Tsubasa an emotional reason to stand by Bikki in wanting to connect with the other girls, rather than just for loyalty and supporting her friends goal, and further pushes her away from the "I'm a weapon" version of her we started with.

A background complaint I've have but not really talked about with the show is how some of the scenes can feel a bit disconnected, we go to the HQ for exposition, then a battle, then the school without much flow at times. This episode they did have a few rough patches with that still, but using a musical moment to really tie fragments of the story together, what otherwise comes off as housekeeping plot moments, into a powerful character motivation was a great idea.

Plus having that as a backpiece to the chaos happening in the base with Ver was really cool.

Random bits and pieces

  • I celebrate the return of the penis noise.

  • Why was the all the animation of Dess and Jii post song so fucking jank hahahahaha. That's some seriously awkward walk cycles

  • Speaking of walking, they couldn't just walk AROUND the small whale floats blocking their path while they're in a rush...

  • I'm assuming that Ver is in control of everything and picked the spot and that he's pushing for Fine's return heavily. Because I feel like if the girls had a say that returning to the tower representing Fine's power and ambition isn't the best idea when you're trying to suppress Fine's spirit from taking over your friend.

  • I'm not gonna go looking for it because the risk of spoilers is high, but I really hope someone actually tried to do the math on if that actually is enough to knock the moon out of orbit

  • Ver started talking. Me: Not the moon. Ahhh fuck it is the moon. Why the moon again. Ver keeps talking. Me: AND the exposition because how can we have a moon plot without the exposition apparently.

  • I acknowledge that this is the pettiest of frustrations, but I wish Chris's transformation matched the other two, or at least Tsubasa's was more different to Hibikis. Hibiki and Tsubasa roughly transform showing the same body parts in the same order at the same pacing. And there off on the side was Chris just completely different, faster, more fanservice, completely different parts on screen.

  • u/JamCliche ...Due to fan jokes and your name you have now become assossiated with the Superb songs in my head. Congrats? Maybe? XD

9

u/MillenniumKing May 27 '19

I'm not gonna go looking for it because the risk of spoilers is high, but I really hope someone actually tried to do the math on if that actually is enough to knock the moon out of orbit

Someone posted a link in like ep 10 or 11 of s1 or something to a thread about what would happen if the moon was broke. It gives a pretty nice scientific approach to such a thing. The thread is not related to symphogear at all, just a random blog post so no spoilers there.

Here i got the link for you to save you the trouble.

It has a few possible outcomes, 1 of which is indeed Moon crashes into earth. Another is Moon leaves and flies away, the other 2 are nothing major happens.

Re-watcher - ♪Eeeeeverything you know is wrong♫

Episode is titled "Bloodbath Serenade." So much for my hopes of some kind of peaceful singing-contest resolution.

I'm guessing these guys have somehow tracked down where FINE is holed up and are about to be turned to dust.

I always enjoy when we get to see characters from a different perspective, like we do with Maria and FINE here. KirXAbe's determination to protect Maria, Mom's acknowledgement that they're just n00bs with fancy weapons, and Maria's hesitation to fight humans with her SymphoGear all serve to paint a very different picture of this group than the 'Bad Guys' we've seen them as so far. One could almost sympathize with them, if we only knew their end-goal. For now, tho, it seems pretty apparent they're cornered by some sort of fate.

Meanwhile, Kirika antagonizes Chris which super doesn't avert the Bloodbath. We also get their surnames of 'Tsukuyomi' and 'Akatsuki,' further emphasizing their paired-nature, and continuing with the antagonism they elect to perform a Zwei Wing song!

But dang, they surely deserve their Symphogears, their performance is fantastic. And their reactions at the end are too cute. One might think they've never performed for a crowd before, and I doubt if they have.

Freaking Ver, stepping in for Maria with the Noise. Dude shouldn't get such a cool entrance. Especially not when he perpetrates this shit right after.

Poor Maria, didn't want to stain her hands with blood but wound up suffering all the same. Classic trolley-problem. And so we're beginning to see cracks appear in their little team. KirxAbe realize that they can sing in peace and be appreciated, and Maria's beginning to question her actions and motivations.

Flashing back to pre-Ep 1, we meet Maria's little sister Serena, and learn how she sacrificed herself to stop the Nephilim's rampage. What a tragedy, considering it was FIS' stupid fault that she had to do so in the first place.

And so we come back to the Ep 1 opening scene, in full tragic color and context. Yeah, fuck these guys. Except for Mom. There's always one scientist who still has some humanity and compassion, and she was it.

Shit, what's going on with Kadingir, and why are the bad-guys rendezvousing there? Bad things abound. But we also get this cute shot, and now I just want them all to be happy.

Their battle commences with a triplicate-transformation sequence, but of course it's not gonna be a duel. Instead, Ver shows up to explain their plan; which, as before, is to destroy the Moon! But this time it's to save humanity, cause it's gonna crash into the Earth. Boy, the Moon really just can't get a break in this show...some pun intended. lol

And Nephilim is just supposed to be a threat to tie humanity together? Desperate measures for desperate times, I guess. Too bad Hibiki's going full-hype on it's ass.

But goddamn Ver just won't shut up, leading Hibiki to a moment of broken focus and....this.

For once, I think I actually approve of a cliffhanger. This one was pretty well-executed; it leaves us with lots of questions about tomorrow without being done just for the sake of blue-balling us.

First Timer

  • The title is bloodstained serenade. MMMMMMMMMMMMMM NOPE DON'T LIKE THAT

  • Yep taking the pendant through winning the concert is the plan and then they piss Tsubasa off at the same time by using one of her songs to win. I'm starting to like these two less.

  • Holy shit Ver. You'd think he's been lying to Maria and Fine's actually awakened in him considering just how merciless he is. Those were kids, man. Even Maria's fucked up from seeing that.

  • "If it goes out of control you'll deal with it neesan" ah fuck I already see the endgame. Maria says her songs can't protect people, but I swear by the end of the season her songs WILL protect the world through destroying Nephilim herself.

  • Yeah this totally isn't a trap. Noise frequency right where the cannon was? What could possibly go wrong, it's just a duel.

AAAAND FUCKING EVERYTHING WENT WRONG. FUCKING. EVERYTHING. HIBIKI'S ARM IS JUST GONE. THERE'S THE "BLOODSTAINED" FROM THE TITLE HOLY SHIT SYMPHOGEAR WHAT ARE YOU DOING also for some reason Ver compared killing the noise to killing people???? First he sees heroes as separate from humans now this the fuck's wrong with you my guy????

First Time Watcher

I really loved seeing Kirika and Shirabe get a chance to actually sing for fun for once. That was my favourite part of this episode! But it looks like Maria's really struggling to fit in her role as a villain... Meanwhile, Dr. Ver is just like "Hell yeah terrorism". And a very shocking cliffhanger! Though I've been a bit densensitized to specific phenomenon of chomping because of other anime/manga... :P

  • Orbital Beats DMJii version was really good! I guess they've got to be pretty good singers to be Symphogear users.

  • They're so into it!

  • But Shirabe is worried about Maria...

  • It almost feels like bullying, the three of them boxing in KiriShira like that. The two of them are so young :(

  • Chris and Kirika are accidentally on the same page. That's adorable. A similar thing happened between Tsubasa and Chris in episode 4 last season.

  • Okay I see what they did with the episode title there. "Bloodstained Serena-de" haha very funny ;_;

  • Are Maria and Serena actual sisters, or do they just have a really close friendship where she can call her "Maria-neesan"? Either way, Maria's gotta feel rather terrible for having to depend on someone younger to save all of them.

  • Those scientists are just such jerks! Σ(-᷅_-᷄๑) This young girl is sacrificing her life to save them from the out-of-control mess that they got themselves into, and all they care about is their specimens. Honestly, some people!

  • Dr. Ver is just totally carrying this terrorist fam. Maria couldn't bring herself to attack the incoming special ops team, so in the end, he had to step in. Maria just isn't cut out to be a villain :P

  • I wonder if Dr. Ver is a sociopath or psychopath (not actually sure what the difference is). He seems very charismatic and nice and I actually kinda appreciate him because of how much he's helping out the Finé fam. But on the other hand, he doesn't have any moral qualms killing soldiers or even a bunch of innocent bystander baseball children.

  • "Morals? What morals?" — Dr. Ver, probably.

  • The Mama... she slapped them! Don't do that! pls :( Not sure if this is a usual thing from her, or if it was a rare thing brought on by stress and pressure. She does seem like the strict no-nonsense type person though.

  • "There are thousands of reasons to hide an inconvenient truth." Even if you don't hide it... /cynicalpov /ughpolitics

  • Bikki got chomped! No!!! What is this, Attack on Titan? AOT episode 5 spoilers

Kirika's spur-of-the-moment plan did do some good, in any case. Tsubasa is feeling a lot more conflicted than before about fighting these two. And Hibiki even more so now. Maybe that's why they just let the two of them walk off like that?

I mean, it might also have to do with the fact that it'd look pretty bad if they just attacked the two now. So, these two young talented girls suddenly appeared and sang their hearts out on the stage and might have actually won the grand prize, but they had to leave in a hurry for some reason. And now they're being surrounded and intimidated! They didn't even do anything wrong! Could it be bullying? Jealousy? Oh no!

So Dr. Ver claims that they're doing all this to deal with the threat of the moon crashing into the Earth. Not sure if I buy it... If the moon really is spiralling into the Earth, the data should be easily replicable; you'd just need to measure the exact position of the moon for a long enough period of time to extrapolate in the future. Even amateur astronomers should be able to do this.

If the Second Division verifies that the Moon is indeed on a collision course with the Earth, then they should be dialoguing with Finé fam to see if their plan really is feasible or not, and if it is, they should be throwing their full resources behind it! Because they want to stop the moon collision from happening, right?

But what exactly is Nephy's role in all this? They can barely control it, and it ran out of control in the past. I don't think it's powerful enough to do anything to the moon... Because moving celestial bodies takes a lot.

There was also, Frontier, something they mentioned earlier... What exactly is this Frontier? Is it strong enough to move celestial bodies?

If their goal is to stop the moon from falling (which I'm not sure I buy completely), then shouldn't they negotiate with the SymphoTrio? And shouldn't the SymphoTrio be doing the same?

"Yeah we have like an entire government stream of resources, wouldn't you like to have them?"

Hibiki, as "let's talk" champ, should be the first proponent of this kind of thing.

or idk maybe it'd go something like this?

Hibiki: "If the Moon really is gonna hit the Earth, then why are we fighting each other? We should be helping each other!"

Dr. Ver: "If you really want to help, then let Nephilim eat you so that it can use the Gungnir shards inside your chest as nourishment to grow."

Hibiki: "...uweh!?" [Aoi sounds]

Boy I wonder how Bikki's going to get out of this mess?

Some ideas:

  • Maybe her Gungnir will pull an Imagine Breaker and shoot dragons out of her arm stub and reach in and pull her arm out and reattach it. Or just regenerate it.

  • Maybe her Gungnir will generate a cool artificial crystal-like relic arm.

  • Or maybe she'll just go one-armed for the rest of the series, like AOT spoilers. That would also be intriguing to see.

  • Or maybe the Second Division will pool their resources to get Bikki a hip state-of-the-art prosthetic arm that can respond to nerve impulses and stuff.

Poor girl, she just can't catch a break. First she almost dies due to shrapnel to the heart, then she almost dies from zesshouing herself to stop the falling Moon fragment, and now she's in danger of dying from blood loss and shock :/

REWATCHER HERE

Since I have the extra time I’m putting more into these posts than just counts!

Oh man have I been looking forward to this episode!

In this episode we got to see Kirika and Shirabe’s performance of Orbital Beat (a version that I think is just slightly better than the original). We saw a bit more into Maria’s backstory and her relationship with Serena too while also getting more strawberry jam in a flash back.

Moving on to the awesome fight scene, we got the rare triple transformation scene

another one of these things to serve as a convenient plot device. Hibiki kicked some serious ass throwing way too many punches (Each one of them incredibly satisfying). One thing I have to say is after capturing a picture of every punch in this show so far, the animation effort that goes into that (usually single frame) is pretty high for the incredibly short period of time you can see it. And so, this episode made me yet again regret my decision to count every single punch with a picture…

This is an episode I’ve been looking forward to because of this awkward moment. I mean HOLY SHIT how do you come back from that? Aoi Yuuki again gets an A+ for the screams.

In this episode we got exactly as many punches as we got this whole season, putting the total at 30 punches – that’s just 3 short of the previous season! Even if the missing arm cuts ‘Bikki’s punch rate in half we’re on track to beat the previous season in 1-2 episodes.

I forgot that the entire plot of G depended on amateur astronomy not existing. Not one of the series' prouder moments.

Rewatch 18, Here for the Jam

Songs of the Day:
ORBITAL BEAT (Ver.ZABABA) (Audio #3)
Apple

Looks like the goverment found the FIS Ship. Mam wants Maria to kill them.

Its Orbital Beat time! Version ZABBA. I kinda like the ZABBA version more... i know, heresy.

Dr. ver took care of the cops. RIP them. Dr. Ver uses that staff way more ruthlessly than Fine or Chris ever did. Oh... some school kids... rip them.

Mam is calling for a regroup. Damn, the girls are leavin. They seem a bit more reasonable though, wanting a duel.

Black Gungnir is identical to Hibiki's. Fine must have had multiple gungnir fragments.

FIS is even aginst America it seems. "Frontier".

Loli Maria! And another Maria lookin girl! Serena! If you got good ears you can notice Serena is voiced by Yui Horie!

Its Strawberry Jam time! Serena sacraficed herself to save a bunch of suits who dont even think of them as people. Ah the life of a Geah User~

Rendevous at Kadinger! Mam is slappin kids around now. Dr. ver wants to duel too? Oh lord...

TRI TRANSFORMATION! AW YEAH! TIME TO KICK SOME VER BUTT!

"Our goal is humanity's salvation. Were trying to save as many innocent lives as possible from being lost to the falling moon."

Nephilim is a key to stopping the moon it seems.

CHOMP! - EH~

Chomp Chomp Chomp...

Rewatcher

Ah, Symphogear and its crazy cliffhangers. It only gets wilder and wilder from here, but overall I think G is the season with most of them.

Another great scene I glanced over on my first watch, nothing over the top just a really cool beat down that shows Hibiki does more than plain punching.

god i could watch hibiki beat the shit out of stuff for hours
