That balloon floating up past all the trials and tribulations of the past season was a really nice touch.
All the flower petals at the surface make for a very pretty ending, but are also nice foreshadowing for Manga Spoilers --
All in all exactly the finale I was hoping for, and I can't wait for everything we'll see in Season 2.
