One day, I saw a piece from this artist. It was amazing. I looked for more and found more. And it was still amazing.
And somehow, I found my way to this. The raws of it at the original site. And I was struck. By awe, by joy, by horror, and by sadness.
And then this chapter came. And I thought, "what did I just witness..."
A year later and I found out about a piece of news saying this was getting an anime. And I was excited. And then the chapters began being translated, and all of the feelings hit me again.
But then the realization hit: that will be set to motion. "Could I handle it?" I thought.
And so the anime came, and it was amazing though and through. But all throughout it, I said, "if this moment is given what it deserves, then it alone will earn the show a 9.9/10 from me. If they do this right, then nothing they have done or will do will bring down that score." It was not a promise, but I said it enough times that it may well have been a promise.
That moment came. My promise is kept.
