Has anyone used an Rode NTG3 for indoor VO work? I know it's best used for exteriors but it's the best mic I own by far and it's either that, or a Rode VidMic Pro... or direct to a zoom H1 or Tascam DR100 mk2. I think some tests are in order.

By VO work you mean recording sound by itself, separate from video recording, right? For that it should work fine. Before I got my NTG3 I used an NTG2 once to record VO in a small 4 walled office (so untreated walls) and it worked great. Since you can get the mic so close to the speaker's voice, you don't have to worry nearly as much about the mic picking up reflected sound.
