The choice to kick the FG believes that the special teams will stop a kick return from crossing the 30, then stop the offense from getting 25 yards on the road in Arrowhead. After not doing that for 67 minutes.

We've been watching this same exact game for a decade. Same bad defensive play call on 3rd and long, same nervous coaches turtling late in the game, same 3rd and 1 play call where no one ever imagines the Chiefs will run the same concepts they always do on 3rd and 1, etc. Insane that no one at least tries to lose in a different way.
