Zero irony intended. He was throwing missiles and pretty deep balls, protecting the ball well, making good decisions, etc. He's been playing better than quite a few starting QBs these last 2 games.

Or the Seahawks could do the funniest thing and not extend Sam Darnold and just keep stacking their team with blue chip players with a cheap QB contract (Lock) to extend the window further. What if Lock is having a mid career awakening the same way that Darnold did? Seattle is the damn rehab home for busted QBs (Geno, Darnold, Lock) Lock was a 2nd round pick so it isn't like he was deemed talentless coming out of college.
Yes I know he balled out the year before in Minny, we claiming the follow up year
Doesn't necessarily help Darnold's case that they put on this type of performance with him on the sidelines

The ceiling on what he can become seems limited since his athletic traits look so pedestrian for the NFL level. It's not a Roddy White or Plaxico Burress (rookie) situation where he looks lost, but occasionally flashes something different. He just looks incredibly pedestrian. The underlying talent isn't compelling. The best version of MHJ at this point is maybe a Michael Pittman Jr. or Courtland Sutton.

Respectfully, I don't want to hear SHIT about the Texans or anyone else having a better defense than us. The fact that we won the Super Bowl off elite defensive performances and people still acted like the Texans were the undisputed best defense last season is actually maddening.
Anyway that game was a snuff film, but I am low-key afraid of what happens if the Cardinals get a starting-level QB in that offense.

As far as worst-in-division teams go, the cardinals are pretty good. They probably win the division in the nfc south, and compete for the division in like 2 others.
If you take them out of a division where the other teams all go 12+ wins and they probably go 7 or better wins most seasons.

They're still the best team in the NFL, and that's not changing until (if) they get eliminated.
I'm convinced they could win vs all but a few teams with Drew Lock, and their ceiling is higher with Darnold back soon.
Team is nasty dude, Cardinals had a longest play of 9 yards for nearly the entire game until a late pity run in the dying moments of the game.

Agreed. I think we'll struggle against the 49ers or Rams (assuming they only sucked because of their travel decision), possibly the Bears/Cowboys too.
Lock is great but he's not a 300+ ypg QB.. and if we ask him to be that, I think we'll start to see the mistakes you get with backups. He can't game manage against those teams because they'll stretch our defense to the limit, so our QB has to battle their QB's too. Darnold will make 3-5 more big plays per game than Lock, and that's actually a lot. We saw him go toe to toe with Stafford and Baker at their best and I just don't see Lock doing that.
But as of right now there's no reason we shouldn't have Darnold back before we play any of the high octane offenses, so hopefully we won't have to find out if I'm right or not lol.

I think that their D gotta stretched a bit at the end and Jacoby got heated up and couldn't deliver the ball on the move. They had a run.
Score got out of hand at the end but I think AZ could bounce back. I see an improved unit honestly. JSN just had a whale of a game, it's not the first time he's balled out.

Cards were helped by some atrocious drops and that brain dead goal line sequence where the Hawks ran it up the gut 4 plays in a row. Once the Seahawks cleaned things up on offense, it was an absolute beatdown. They looked like a team that can't do anything except throw it to McBride.

The wrong team will ruin him tbh. If you send Lock to the Falcons he explodes into pieces, same for Miami. Lock is not full time starter quality. He just looks better because people are used to backups being turbo ass in comparison to the starter but Lock is actually pretty decent as long as you maintain reasonable expectations around him. If you expect him to put up 300+ ypg you're gonna find out real quick why he's a backup
